Harry didn't quite understand all the stuff about timelines or other universes, never having been allowed to watch any films or read any novels that the Dursleys thought he might enjoy. Nevertheless he knew that he owed Ben a lot. Not only for hosting him for the holidays but for also taking care of Voldemort.

Not weird. I have seen a novel where each vampire had a different taste in blood, like A+, O-, AB+.... and adrenaline and other hormones were kind loke seasoning.
Also would it be weird for a male vampire mc to prefer drinking from women? I mean all humans are pretty much cattle to vampires but to me it's kinda the tender Angus beef vs the tough Holstein milk cow meat.
