Chương 33: True Feelings

Avians looked into Adrian's eyes with a questioning gaze that made her doubt the man's feelings for her.

Her heart truly loved Adrian and felt so happy when he loved and cared for her so much.

However, for a long time her little heart had always questioned the same thing.

Did Adrian really love her?

But why?

They had never met before, but suddenly he said that he wanted Avians to be his wife.

Just because she saved his life?

It all sounded like a highly improbable piece of fiction.

Even so, Avians tried to brush off those feelings all this time and ignore them.

But after Sarah said the same thing, she realized what was really going on between her and Adrian.

Unable to contain everything anymore, Avians finally asked what she wanted to hear from her husband.

"What's wrong, Avi? Why are you avoiding me like that?" asked Adrian worried about Avians' current state.

The woman finally opened her mouth.

"Ian... Do you really love me?" she asked.

For a moment Adrian looked somewhat surprised by his wife's question. "Of course I love you, that's why I married you, Avi."

"Lies! You never really loved me, did you? You... You don't love me at all..."

The man's body gasped in shock as Avians shouted at him. He had not expected her to say such a thing to him. However, he could see the pain in her blue eyes.

"I love you so much, Ian. I thought I was the luckiest woman ever to have your love. But it was all a lie..." she cried.

Seeing the crying Avians, made Adrian feel so guilty. He knew he had made a big mistake that he had been hiding from Avians.

"You were right, Avi. I... Never loved you," Adrian replied.

The woman's eyes widened as she heard it straight from Adrian's mouth. Although she knew Adrian would say it, but her heart had hoped that Adrian really loved her, it turned out to be all but impossible.

"When I first found out about the person who saved me, I was impressed that it was a woman. Then I started looking into who you were... And I found out everything. About you being a victim of bullying, both at your school and even your own family,"

"I... felt a little sorry for you. At the same time, my mother is forcing me to continue getting married. Seeing that you certainly wouldn't argue much with me, I decided to marry you instead," he continued to explain.

Avians' lips trembled at this, her heart breaking at the thought that she was only being used so that Sarah would no longer pressure Adrian to marry.

She was just a tool for Adrian to Feel in peace.

"By giving you love and attention from me, I'm trying to be the husband you expect, that way you won't question things you shouldn't."

Hearing all that, Avians pulled herself back until she fell off the bed. Adrian hurriedly approached her, but she refused to let Adrian get close to her.

"No, don't come near me! I... Don't want to be around you anymore. You fooled me! You gave me false hope to feel loved. Everything is just a lie!" she raged while beating Adrian's chest.

Seeing his wife like this, made his feelings hurt too. He knew that sooner or later, she would find out all these things. But at that time he didn't imagine it going this far.

He didn't think that she would love him.

"Avi, listen to me first. I'm not done talking yet,"

"No way! You're evil! I don't want to hear anything more from you! I want to separate from you!"

Hearing the words parting, Adrian could not let this happen. He caught both wrists of the Avians who were hitting him.

"Avi, look at me! If you mean what you say, look at me!" he said firmly.

She opened her eyes and slowly looked at her husband. Her blue eyes met his gray ones.

"Listen to me, Avi. Everything I'm telling you is the truth. I didn't love you at first. I just felt sorry for you and tried to help you get out of that house and for my mother to stop telling me to get married."

Adrian was silent for a moment, catching his breath, trying to calm his emotions.

"But living with you made me slowly feel like I owned you. I don't want to see you hurt again and I want to always see you smile. Slowly... My heart is involved in this game," he continued.

Avians looked at Adrian with a look of disbelief at what she was hearing. Even so, he continued with his words.

"My feelings got so involved that I realized that I wanted you and only you. I no longer think about what my main goal is to marry you, everything has changed into the love I have for you,"

"Ian..."

Adrian released his grip on both of Avians wrists and grabbed both of her shoulders.

"I'm serious, Avi. Every moment I look at you when I open my eyes, I want you more and more. Over and over again, I feel like I'm not enough to be around you. I always want to pull you into my arms, kiss you and do things together with you."

The dark-haired woman could see from Adrian's eyes that he meant what he said. A look full of desire for her.

"I was trying to hold myself back, worried that you wouldn't like what I was doing to you later. I didn't know if you loved me or not, but now I know," Adrian said as he smiled warmly and caressed Avians cheek.

"Yes, I love you very much, Ian. I really love you. You always gave me the attention and affection I wanted. You found me in the middle of the darkness. You pulled me out of my misery. I..."

The billionaire smiled, he wiped away Avians tears that fell from his eyes.

"I... Love you, Ian," she said in a trembling voice.

"I love you too, my wife Avi," Adrian replied and kissed her soft lips.

Avians wrapped her arms around Adrian's neck, returning her husband's kiss that felt so warm. Her heart was beating so fast to hear him say that he loved her.

Their kiss deepened and was filled with passion between them.

Adrian always tried to hold himself back because he didn't want to scare Avians, remembering her past traumas. However, this time he felt she had given up all of herself for him.

He already knew how much she loved him too. Therefore, Adrian did not need to hold himself back any longer.

He picked her up without breaking the kiss, then laid her down on their bed.

"Ian..." Avians whispered as he broke their kiss.

They gazed at each other with a gaze full of passion and love. Now their hearts were connected to each other, creating an atmosphere of intimacy between them.

"Avi, I can't hold myself back any longer. Can I?" asked Adrian softly.

She nodded her head softly, giving her husband the green light to make love to her for the first time. He kissed Avians forehead.

"Then let's do it."
