I've been thinking about this. I know I need to explain this to my three husbands, but for now, I want to hear Minister Gao's opinion. He spoke.

"Let me hear your proposal, Your Highness," he replied.

I gather my courage and take a deep breath. I grab my cup of tea and take a sip first.

"I am planning to hold an imperial soldier exam after the civil imperial exam. That would be 30 days from that day."

The two of them were surprised when they heard what I said.

"Your Highness, the imperial exam includes possible soldiers that will join the imperial army. No need for separate examination," Minister Gao stated.

I know they will have a word for that. For the last decades, family influences have been stronger when it comes to appointing officials.
