I know Shanguan Zu Jin was afraid that I'd detest him for his secret plans against Wu Jinmai.

He had already heard my warning to Li Jin. I cross my legs and look at him. I poured some tea into my empty cup and sipped it.

"You look surprised, my dearest," I mumbled.

A'Zu looked away and didn't meet my gaze. I knew it. The emperor consort was guilty.

I'm not telling them how aware I am to make them feel inferior or scare the hell out of them. It's one way and another instead.
