Chương 80: Chapter 80

Suddenly!

Abel transformed into a twisting vortex and vanished from sight, reappearing behind Zach. Before either Zach or Obadiah could react, Abel pointed his wand directly at Zach.

"Plasma Lavatum!"

A stream of fire and electricity erupted from the tip of Abel's wand, resembling a liquid lava beam that bombarded Zach's back, instantly destroying most of his armor. This was a devastating attack. Had Abel not intervened, Zach would have likely been reduced to ashes in an instant.

This spell, which Abel had named the Burning Curse, was derived from his earlier magical studies, inspired by the powerful spells from Kama Taj, including Bossat's Thunder. It was a genuine creation of his own, resulting from extensive research.

Tony's Mark Ω anti-magic battle armor also borrowed attack methods from this very spell.

For Abel, the effectiveness of this magical attack was evident, but it came with significant drawbacks: it consumed a tremendous amount of energy and had a medium-range attack radius, which had been one reason he hesitated to use it earlier. However, the primary reason was that he wanted to take this opportunity to test the capabilities of his new wand. Engaging in battle was undoubtedly the best way to gauge its effectiveness.

The spell's power was impressive, hinting at the potential for him to develop powerful magic to combat non-creatures in the future.

At that moment, Obadiah rushed to Zach's side, checking his condition. Finding that Zach was alive but unconscious, he breathed a sigh of relief, though his anger quickly returned, surging within him.

"I have to admit, you've really irritated me!" Obadiah shouted.

He turned to face Abel and Tony, positioning his legs apart. The armor on his legs split and transformed into hooks, anchoring him to the ground. The rest of his armor began to deform as major joints locked into place, turning Obadiah into a fortified position.

Seeing this, Vanke shouted to calm Obadiah, but his words went unheard as Obadiah activated the super cluster gun mounted on his shoulder.

The super cluster gun extended and transformed, glowing with multiple light arc reactors at its tail and the reactor within Obadiah's armor, emitting a brilliant blue light. With a deafening hum, the super cluster gun unleashed a blazing orange energy beam!

The thick beam shot through the air, aimed at Abel and his companions.

The three quickly evaded, but Obadiah anticipated their movements and adjusted the super cluster gun to lock onto Abel.

Realizing he was the target, Abel exploded into black smoke, darting toward Vanke.

As Abel flew toward him, Vanke understood Abel's intent. He cast a secret curse and took to the sky.

However, a portal suddenly appeared in front of Vanke. Before he could escape, Abel controlled the portal to envelop him. Though the portal itself didn't move quickly, its sudden appearance caught Vanke off guard, leaving him no time to evade. The portal swallowed him, and moments later, he materialized just in front of Abel. At that instant, Obadiah's super cluster gun fired, the orange beam striking Vanke directly.

Under the terrifying force of the super cluster gun, Vanke's armor melted away at an alarming rate.

Although Obadiah immediately ceased fire upon realizing he had hit Vanke, the damage was done. Most of Vanke's armor was destroyed as he plummeted to the ground.

"Damn it!" Obadiah cursed, realizing his plan to eliminate Tony and Abel had failed once again. Without hesitation, he turned to flee with his son, knowing that a temporary retreat could allow him to regroup.

But as he turned, he discovered Tony had somehow appeared behind him.

"Can I let you escape again this time?" Tony declared.

The red glow in his palms faded, replaced by a fierce light from his chest. A ring of ancient magic symbols appeared around the energy core, rotating rapidly. After a few breaths, the intensity of the energy surged, and a powerful lava-like electric beam erupted from Tony's chest, blasting toward Obadiah just as he prepared to counter Tony's attack.

Boom!

In the ensuing explosion, Obadiah was hurled backward, most of the external weapons on his armor obliterated, and the remaining armor melted and shattered.

Boom!

He crashed into the wreckage of a collapsed building, struggling to rise from the ground.

Despite the impact, the defensive capabilities of the third-generation Iron Overlord were astonishing. Even after taking Tony's strongest lava plasma head-on, Obadiah's armor remained relatively intact, though heavily damaged.

As he sought a way to retrieve his son Zach, Obadiah suddenly realized his armor's computer had been compromised, and the energy core in his chest began to flash ominously.

"Obadiah, you still have time to escape the armor! It's going to explode! Even if I can't kill Tony Stark, I'll take him down with me!" a voice warned.

Horrified, Obadiah's complexion paled. He immediately activated his armor's ejection system but then hesitated, remembering Zach, who lay unconscious nearby. Without a second thought, Obadiah abandoned his escape plan, rushing to Zach's side and desperately trying to tear off his armor.

Seeing Obadiah's frantic actions, Abel and Tony exchanged knowing glances. Just as they were about to leave, they suddenly noticed that Rhodey's War Machine armor was also flashing rapidly, clearly affected by Vanke's earlier interference!
