Chương 209: The Dragon Vein
In the underworld, a place where a race called the devils inhabit. This place is a complete barren land without any source of water or green trees to cover it except for some places that were so little.
The underworld itself was so big and wide, bigger and wider than the world of living itself but it had no natural resources at all, a complete useless land if you looked at from an economic point of view.
But despite all of that, the devils still live quite the good life in such harsh environment as it was filled with a special dark energy that only those races that belong to the dark side could use.
The Misama, a very toxic kind of energy that if any human had come in contact with, would die in a very short time, unless he became a devil or any other kind of dark race.
And that lead us to what is called Reincarnated Devils.
Due to the devils' constitution, they were faced with a very tragic problem of decreasing in number of birth rates. Their population is going down with every passing decade.
If they tried to have an offspring, it would take a very long time like centuries or more. Just to have one offspring. This made one of the brilliant minds of the devil race, Ajuka Beelzebub, to create the system used today to reincarnate humans or any other race into devils using chess pieces.
This helped the devil race to increase its number but it was also faced with many objections from the council and those old powerhouses of the remaining 72 pillars.
They scorned the reincarnated devils as they weren't pure blooded devils, a shame and humiliation to their race.
But did Ajuka care about that?
No, he was one of the four great devil kings like Serafall. Those who represent the whole underworld and protect it against any enemy who may threaten them.
However, that is not our point of talk. We will go to the meeting room in the palace of one of the four great devil kings. The meeting was urgent and demanded all four of them to attend.
The reason?
To discuss the deal between the Devil Faction and the West Yokai Faction.
"So that's what Lady Yasaka said regarding the deal, right?" A red crimson haired handsome man said with a stern expression. His hair was long and his eyes were blue like the sky. His body build seemed slender due to the clothes he was wearing but under them, a toned body was hidden, a body that went through countless wars and battles in the past. His aura was strong and majestic, emphasizing his position as the strongest of the four great devil kings.
This man is Sirzechs Lucifer.
"Yes, she didn't want money in exchange of the herbs but wanted to take back Kouh Town." A black haired woman said, she was Serafall.
"She knows how important these blue herbs to us in the current predicament so she demanded something of equal value in return. Quite the brain she had on her." A green haired man said. He was Ajuka Beelzebub, the man who created the current system to increase the number of the devil race.
"But we can't give up on Kouh Town, it's very important to us. Besides, the value between the blue herbs and Kouh Town is far great. We can't let her take advantage of us!" Another man said with an angry voice. He was Falibum Asmodeus.
"That would be accurate if it was in another time where our race wasn't threatened by some unknown disease that turn people into ice cubes." Sirzechs said.
"That's right. Currently, the blue herbs could save our race so the value between the two is quite equal. But you have a point that we can't give her Kouh Town as it's a very important base for us in the world of living." Ajuka explained.
"So what now? We have nothing of equal value to give." Serafall said with troubled expression as she no matter how hard she thought, she couldn't think of something that her race could give to Yasaka in exchange for the blue herbs.
Few seconds of silence passed without any word spoken until Sirzechs open his mouth.
"Is it a must to make a deal with the West Yokai Faction to get the blue herbs?"
"Of course! You know that no other place could give us such amounts except for the West Yokai Faction!" Serafall said loudly while slamming the table as she felt annoyed by what Sirzechs said because she understood that he was going to think of another place to get the blue herbs from. But she also thought the same but no matter what, no place agreed to give her such great amounts of herbs.
"Calm down, Serafall. I know what you want to say but I have another opinion, another place that we could go to and take this great amounts of blue herbs in exchange for money without any problems. After all, that place is in a great need for money." Sirzechs said with a small smile on his handsome face.
"That place? What do you mean?" She asked with confusion.
Is there a place she didn't go to or forget about?
"Sirzechs, do you mean them?" Ajuka said and Sirzechs nodded at his words.
"So we will go to that place after all. Well, that's better than making a deal with that greedy woman." Falibum said with a nod.
The three men nodded at each other as if some kind of signal that only men could use and understand.
Only Serafall was looking with confusion and irritation as no one wanted to tell her what was going on or what is that damn fucking place they are talking about!!?
'Really, they are so irritating fucking pieces of shit! Hmph!' She said inwardly before standing up and walked out of the meeting room to do her thing. At least, it didn't make her so annoyed as those three.
Looking at Serafall who walked out of the meeting room, the three men only sighed and didn't care about it anymore as they went back to prepare to go to that place they were going to.

Back at Kyoto, Yasaka was sitting in her own room drinking some hot green tea while thinking about her previous meeting with Serafall.
She wanted to take Kouh Town as an exchange for giving this large amount of the blue herbs that her faction had in abundance.
It was an equivalent exchange according to the rules. She didn't need money, so she demanded something else of equal value, but she knew that the devils wouldn't give up on Kouh Town that easily considering it being a very important base for them in the world of living. Originally, Kouh Town belonged to the Shinto Faction and under the surveillance of the West Yokai Faction by extension as Yasaka as a Miko, all of the faith that came from the people of Kyoto went to the Lay Lines connected to her then acting as a medium, all of that faith went to Amaterasu, the leader of the Shinto Faction.
Yasaka was devoted to Amaterasu and was her representative.
And Yasaka wanted to take back what was originally theirs and this was an opportunity to take it back but at the same time, this opportunity was far from her as the devil faction won't ever give up on such a great base for them.
All of that was due to past conflict between the Devil Faction and Shinto Faction that led to giving Kouh Town to them.
Although it was a small town but it was very important location that was the focus of all supernatural events.
The Shinto Faction gave the town without knowing what was there but Yasaka knew it very well and knew how important this town was. Its importance was fat greater than anything else.
After all, this town had a very precious and important treasure buried down under it and Yasaka discovered it when she was investigating the reason behind the devils demanding to take Kouh Town exactly so.
Once she knew the reason, she understood how far important this place was for them and they just gave it away like some pice of meat in the market.
'I cannot let them have the Dragon Vein no matter what.'
