Chương 361: Chapter 360: Avengers VS Star Devourer Emissary!

In the distant cosmos, the surrounding world was nothingness. There was only a massive and terrifying energy moving towards Earth at a deceivingly slow yet urgent pace.

Surrounding it were four figures whose sizes weren't exaggerated but whose presence was formidable.

Their positions constantly shifted, yet they always guarded that massive energy core in their midst.

They were the Planet Devourer and his four great apostles!

Suddenly!

The Planet Devourer halted, his eyes shimmering like stars as he gazed forward and slowly spoke, "They are here, they have arrived!"

Upon his declaration, the four Star Devourer Emissaries also stopped, lining up in front of the Planet Devourer.

At that moment, the space before them changed dramatically. What was once void now visibly morphed into a grid of hexagons with a deep and mysterious center, clearly a gateway to another cosmic space.

The next moment, a gigantic spaceship, half the size of the Planet Devourer's head, emerged from the spatial wormhole and appeared before the Star Emissaries.

Clark's pride, the immense ship, indeed held no advantage in front of the Planet Devourer.

A cascade of azure light beamed from within the ship, revealing six figures lined up before the Planet Devourer. They were...

Tony Stark in his Mark 85 Iron Man armor adorned with white and blood-red edges;

Thor, the King of Asgard, representing the supreme glory of the Norse gods;

Beta Ray Bill, Thor's golden partner;

Hit-Girl Mindy McCready, riding an eight-legged steed and clad in Queen's Knight armor, holding the Eternal Spear;

Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, wrapped in upgraded space armor and surrounded by pink chaotic energy;

Steve Rogers, the Captain America, left hand with his shield, right hand wielding a silver mace, and wearing an Iron Suit forged together by Tony and Reed, combining hammer, shield, and armor into one.

Above these six, Clark, wearing the Boots of the Skywalker and clad in the Armor of Healing, stepped out from the void, appearing directly in front of the Planet Devourer, calmly meeting his gaze.

At this moment, the Planet Devourer was immensely huge, his size incomparable to Earth, a size unprecedented and unseen by the Avengers. However, to Clark, he was a mass of extremely pure high-purity cosmic energy, with an energy sum nearly matching Clark's own, both pushing the limits of what a single universe could contain.

If one were to compare just the "quantity" of their energies, the Star Devourer still exceeded Clark by a large margin, but in terms of divine power quality, the Star Devourer fell short. The difference was like buying gold and silver with the same amount of money; one could get more silver in quantity, but the overall value remained the same.

The limitation of a singular universe to a multi-universal deity was exactly this type of limitation in "total value" of divine power.

As Clark and the Star Devourer exchanged gazes, the Star Devourer's eyes also landed on Clark. After a long standoff, Clark was the first to speak, "You look well, but I still hope you can leave without targeting Earth."

Seeing the Star Devourer unmoved, a fierce killing intent erupted from Clark: "Because, I don't want to kill you!"

"How audacious!" As Clark's words fell, before the Star Devourer could react, Stardust, unable to contain her rage, transformed into a dazzling beam of light, lunging towards Clark: "To speak to the Planet Devourer in such a manner, you have no reverence in your heart!"

As she spoke, Stardust aimed her bizarre weapon, one end a spear, the other an axe, directly at Clark's heart, a terrifying energy transferring from her body into the weapon and compressing into a concentrated beam aimed straight at Clark.

"Wrong, leave!"

With a cold huff, Clark waved his hand, unleashing a divine force that combined power, space, and reality. It instantly formed a huge vortex that enveloped the reckless Stardust.

Stardust's body, crystal clear as if made from diamond but actually composed of cosmic particles and energy far tougher than diamond, could survive even planetary explosions and black holes.

She was the toughest to kill among the Star Devourer's four apostles, and also the most powerful!

Yet, even so, Clark's casual swipe, embodying three fundamental cosmic laws, was enough to directly threaten her life. If caught, she would not die but would surely be severely wounded.

Unlike his usual gentle demeanor with Lois, Clark showed no mercy with this half-human, half-fish alien woman; his first move was a killing strike.

"Stop!" Seeing Stardust about to perish under Clark's fierce attack, the Star Devourer, who had remained silent thus far fearing the "v

illain dies from talking too much" trope, finally could not hold back. He waved his hand, and a surging divine force interjected just in time between Clark's attack and Stardust.

"Boom!"

The collision of divine forces between Clark and the Planet Devourer, two multi-universal powerhouses, caused a cataclysmic explosion that sent Stardust flying half a galaxy away. Even the other three Star Devourer apostles and the Avengers, who were further away, felt the shockwave, though they managed to stabilize themselves due to the distance.

This clash between Clark and the Star Devourer also marked the start of the entire battle. After the initial strike, Clark and the Star Devourer unexpectedly launched fierce attacks at each other again, and the six Avengers unleashed their deadly moves, battling the three Star Devourer apostles.

Clark and the Star Devourer, both constrained by the energy limits of a single universe, were evenly matched, making it impossible to determine a victor for the time being.

The same held true for the other combatants. The six Avengers selected by Clark were Earth's top-tier, but the Star Devourer's four apostles were among the universe's elite. The Avengers were still at a slight disadvantage in power compared to their cosmic counterparts.

Especially since Clark was present, although this significantly boosted the overall strength of the Avengers, his handling of major events meant that some potential heroes hadn't gone through the trials they would have in the original timeline.

For instance, Thor had not experienced the pain of losing Asgard or the despair of his hammer being destroyed, which in the original timeline, had transformed his combat effectiveness. Now, he could only achieve peak father-level strength by joining forces with Beta Ray Bill, managing only to suppress but not completely eliminate the Flame Emperor apostle.

On another front, Tony and Captain America, the earliest Avengers, teamed up against the Tyrant apostle, fully displaying their formidable strength to match gods as mortals. Yet, even with their combined efforts, they could only manage a stalemate against the Tyrant.

Elsewhere, Hit-Girl and Scarlet Witch teamed up against the Terminator, leveraging their own capabilities to keep this formidable opponent in check in the cosmic arena. Although Wanda had enhanced her lower limits through special training with the Ancient One, unleashing her power to tear apart Thanos required an emotional trigger.

Currently, Clark didn't want her to rely on emotional fluctuations to unleash her full strength. He preferred she provide some output without risking injury. However, this level of output, even combined with Hit-Girl's efforts, was not enough to critically pressure the Terminator. They could only maintain an advantage, making a definitive victory difficult.

Looking at the battle as a whole, excluding the ultimate showdown between Clark and the Star Devourer, the situation was two wins and one draw for the Avengers, seemingly holding a definitive advantage and merely a matter of time from victory.

But remember, there weren't just three Star Devourer apostles; there were four!

Stardust, previously knocked far away by the clash between Clark and the Star Devourer, was unharmed by the divine force's shockwaves and was already looping back to rejoin the battle.

Just as this strongest Star Devourer apostle was about to turn the tides, two striking beams of light suddenly flew through the cosmic void, intercepting her just as she was about to re-enter the fray.

The newcomers were two women, one white and one black.

The white woman had a somewhat square face, but her short, bobbed hair added a spirited and dashing appearance. She wore a tight-fitting suit of red and blue with a conspicuous golden pentagram on her chest.

The black woman, dressed in a conservative vintage outfit with a white blouse adorned with a mechanical wing symbol, white gloves, and dark green pants and overcoat, radiated a light even more dazzling than her counterpart.
