Just on fifteen minutes later, around two minutes after Butler Du left, having supervised her work, Chef and the balance of the kitchen staff returned to the kitchen. At that time Abigail was carefully stacking the items, she no longer needed on the bench to wash as soon as time permitted, while she readied everything to be taken into the dining room.
Looking at the stack of dishes, how she wished this was four months ago, when she would have had help from her little brother Bruce, who went against the family and helped her prepare breakfasts and clean up afterwards. She missed Bruce so much as he made this task so enjoyable, but her world had changed.
Abigail looked down and saw how dirty she looked after having the liquid tipped on her by Butler Du, she quietly said "There is going to be no way that I can clean up before I have to serve them their breakfast."
Realising that she had not seen them return, Chef calmly said "Young Miss, head into the staff toilet and someone will run upstairs and get your school uniform for you to change into. If you hand over the clothes we will wash and dry them for you, so you have them when you return home."
A female voice called out "Chef, on the way, and I will get the Young Miss's school bag for her as well."
Nodding, Chef calmly said "Now go Young Miss. We will keep an eye in everything and pour the water into the teapot for you."
Abigail sweetly smiled and said, "Thank you," moving off to the staff toilet.
On entering, Abigail looked at herself in the mirror and observed how much of a mess she looked, however there was no option but to quickly tidy herself up as best as she could, to at least look presentable when she served the breakfast to her birth parents and their princess, as the consequences would not be worth talking about.
Over the next couple of minutes, Abigail using the basic facilities in the staff toilet, cleaned herself up as best as she could, before she was interrupted by a knock, and in was handed not only her school uniform, but her only other set of clothes and a towel. A female voice said "Young Miss, I would suggest changing into the other clothes and hanging up your uniform quickly because the the Master, Madam and Second Miss are demanding that their breakfast be served, and they seem angry."
Quietly, Abigail answered, "Thank you," as she took the items handed to her.
As the door shut, Abigail looked at the two options in her hands, and considered what was just said to her. While putting on her school uniform tempted her, she only had the one uniform and worried that one of her biological parents or their so-called princess would be unhappy about something and she would wear food or drink.
As she only had the one school uniform, unlike the princess who had multiple summer and winter uniforms that were regularly replaced, she could not risk it getting dirty as she would not be able to attend school until it was cleaned.
After quickly changing, Abigail hung up her uniform in the spare locker, and carefully wrapped the dirtied clothes in the towel, before placing it at the bottom of the locker so she could deal with it later.
As he spotted her entering the kitchen, Chef called out "Come on everyone, the Master and Madam want the breakfast served. Everyone please take something and let us get them served." He looked over and smiled at Abigail, who felt a moment of relief.
That relief disappeared Knowing the potential consequences is she allowed the staff to take in breakfast, Abigail said "No Chef. But I would appreciate if everyone could put everything onto the trolley, so I can take it in myself."
Chef looked at Abigail, and observing the determination in her eyes, responded "Yes Miss."
More loudly, he said "You heard the Young Miss, now hurry."
Within a minute the trolly was loaded, and Abigail was carefully wheeling it into the dining room, to looks filled with venom as she did so. As the door closed behind her, before she could react Chelsea moved over and slapped her on the face, before pushing her to the ground saying "You brat, Sara told me what you did to her. How dare you abuse her and hurt her. She did nothing other than want to wake you up, so she could have a wonderful breakfast before school."
Smirking, Sara added "Yeah. And I checked, my homework is not organised, because like an idiot you forgot to organise it, so how can I hand it in."
A loud voice from the door, calmly said "Chelsea how dare you treat my granddaughter, your daughter, like that, and Sara organising your homework is not her responsibility, it is yours."
Everyone turned and Abigail calmly responded, "Hello Grandfather."
