No more fights
"What is wrong with you? Why would you punch Jake like that?" And why do I even care? Why did I even come look for him? "I am pissed off right now, you shouldn't have followed me." He took a step forward and I took a step backwards. "You make me so mad. I feel this rage I can't control." I backed away until my back hit something solid that I supposed was a tree.
"You were the one who started it." We need to stop getting in this position, there is always a tree, and we're always in the woods. "We both wanted it, if I started it or not. You could have easily stopped me, but you didn't. Now you're asking me to forget it ever happened? How? Tell me how?" He brought his hands on either side of my face, leaning in until our faces were inches away from each other.
I could feel his lips brushing against mine slightly, making me shiver in anticipation. "How can you run from this feeling? Cause I sure as hell can't." He turned away from my face, going for my neck.
He kissed my neck teasingly, nibbling on my skin. "I know you can't, you're playing hard to get but you know you like when I'm like this with you." I moaned and turned my head to the side, giving him more access of my neck. His hands went to my sides, his fingers running up and down my body softly, making me shiver in delight.
He pulled me away from the tree to cup my butt cheeks and pushed me up, my legs wrapped around his waist as I breathed out raggedly. "I'm going to kiss you." He pushed me back against the tree, kissing my lips hungrily, a gasp of surprise escaping from my throat as I kissed him back the same way, my arms sneaking around his neck, pulling at his hair lightly.
He pulled away slightly and went for my neck once again, nibbling and grazing with his teeth. I felt his canines extending and I began to panic. "Max stop...stop!" I tried to push Max away, but he wouldn't bulge. "Why don't you listen to me for once in your life?! I don't want this." I grabbed his shoulders, pushing him away but he held me still by pushing me more into the tree, kissing my neck hungrily.
I heard a loud growl before a sharp pain pierced through my whole body. Pushing him away, I touched my neck and looked up at him angrily.
"You are mine Alexandra." His eyes were dark, and he was breathing heavily, his eyes flickering from black to gold like he was fighting for control but I didn't care. He bit me! "Are you crazy? You bit me!" I yelled at him, making him look up at me with dark eyes. I jumped slightly and stepped away from him when he jogged to me, looking angry. "Alexandra, come back here now!" He growled behind me and then, my arm was snatched as he spun me around right into his arms. "Max! You fucking bit me!"
"How I wished it was a fucking mark, you're mine." He let out a low growl before crashing his lips onto mine, shutting me up. He pulled my bottom lip with his teeth and sucked on it, making me moan in desire. I brought my hands up to his face and pushed him away, making a loud pop as he let go of my lower lip.
Breathing heavily, I stepped away and touched my swollen lips. "You need to stop kissing me like that Max." I walked past him but only for him to grab my hand, bringing me to a stop. "Kissing you how?" He sneaked his arm around my hips too and yanked me backwards, his solid chest pressed against my back. I turned around with a push, "When will you leave me alone?"
"Never." He barked at me with a smile on his lips as he tugged at his bottom lip. I groaned, stalking away from him. "You know you like it." He spoke from behind me, "The chase, the way I kiss you even though you tell me no." I scoffed, shaking my head with a roll of an eye. "The way I grab you like this." I gasped when he wrapped his arms around me, his breathing fanning my neck as my eyes rolled back. "Right now, you're melting, then. You'll turn around and hit me."
He caught my hand and yanked me forward, "You'll scream, fight me off as if you don't like it." He put his fingers underneath my chin and tilted my head up, making me look up at him. "Tell me that I'm lying."
I pushed him away, but he grabbed me again, "You know very well, deep down." He glanced down as he moved his fingers around my chest, "You're denying it, picking up the same fights. Doing the same things. You avoid me, wrap around old past in your head to make you hate me but we both know you don't." I whimpered in his arms, trying to get away from him.
"Don't make this harder for the both of us Max. Let me go." He hardened his face and slammed his lips roughly onto mine, ignoring my protests and whimpers. "How can you ignore this?" He mumbled against my lips when he pulled away from them and started kissing my jaw line.
I gulped down slowly as my breathing spiked up, my hand tangled in his hair and the other one pressed against his solid chest. He kissed my neck, going down my shoulder blade, scurrying the strap of my tank top and bra while running his nose from the crook of my neck to my shoulder slightly.
I shivered lightly and parted my lips when his warm tongue licked the crook of my neck, his mouth sucking on my skin. My throat went dry, and my body turned completely stiff when his hands sneaked underneath my shirt, caressing my skin.
"Stop tormenting me." I managed to yank myself away from him and fixed my tank top. "You can't keep kissing me whenever you feel like it. I'm not one of your whores." I spat out as I glared at him, walking past him.
"Back at it with these nonexistent whores of yours." He yanked me towards him and crashed our lips together in a passionate kiss that had me begging for more. "You're the only woman that I love and want." He stole a kiss from me again as he grabbed the back of my head.
I pushed him away with pinned lips. "You need to stop doing that." I managed to say as I tried to control my beating heart. He pulled me against him in another breathtaking kiss before pulling away. "What the hell was that for?" I shouted at him as I put my hand on my more than swollen lips.
"You said that I needed to stop doing it, so I took my last shot." He shrugged at me like it was nothing and I gasped angrily at him, my hand slapping his cheek before I could react. My mouth dropped and I looked at my hand before looking back at him, his eyes turned darker as he growled at me fuming.
I squealed when he grabbed me by my waist, tossing me over his shoulder. "That's for slapping me." He said firmly, hitting my ass with a loud slap. I gasped as a wave of pleasure ran through me and I tried hard not to moan.
Oh lord, what is this guy doing to me?
I banged on his back over and over again with my fists, but he wouldn't bulge. He just laughed at me. Asshole! I banged on his back until I gave up and just let him carry me away. We walked fifteen minutes in silence and by 'we' I meant Max, since I was still on his back.
Even though I wanted to deny it. I was enjoying the free ride, but I was getting tired of being on his shoulder. "Are we dare yet?" I asked like ten times already. I was getting bored. Sleepy and hungry all at once.
He refused to let me walk back to school on my own feet. Stupid, Arrogant, stubborn, jerk-face! "We're almost there Alexa. Patience." He mumbled and ducked under a low branch so it wouldn't knock me on my head. "Just a few minutes Alexandra."
Finally, I saw the school building. Max put me down and I made my way towards the school parking lot. I groaned when my car was nowhere to be found and stalked back towards Max.
I yanked his door open and got in, looking away. The driver's door soon opened as Max got in, looking at me with confusion written all over his face but then he smirked widely. "Aww. Are you getting a ride with the big bad alpha?"
"Did you just call yourself the big bad alpha?" I looked at him like he just lost his mind and rolled my eyes at him when he grinned at me. "You're an idiot." I scoffed at him, shaking my head as I looked out of the window
He didn't reply, switching the car engine instead as he drove out of the school parking lot. The ride was quiet, wanting to have something to lessen the awkwardness, I put some music on. I mumbled the lyrics of we don't talk anymore as I stared at the trees passing by.
I turned to look at Max with a shook of a head when he started to sing, bursting into laughter.
I joined him as we sang together, laughing as we stared at each other. "You're such a fool." I shook my head as I laughed, "Well this is new, we have more than eight minutes together without fighting, that's a high score."
"Nah, it's not. We went longer without fighting." I gaped, pushing his shoulder slightly as he smirked at me and I scoffed, a grin on my face as I shook my head, looking out of the window. "What? It's true. The only time you're not growling at me is when…." I shot him a glare and he laughed sheepishly, turning his attention back to the road. "I'm not saying a word."
When I got home, I sneaked into the house quietly so I wouldn't get in trouble. I looked around before walking quietly towards the stairs, stepping on the stairs one by one slowly without making too much noise until I reached the top.
I turned to go to my room when I hit something firm. I yelped and rubbed my head, looking up to see my dad looking down at me with an amused look on his face. "Hey daddy." I smiled at him with the best innocent look I could think off
He grinned down at me. "Not even that look can help you now." I puckered my lips while crossing my arms. "What did I do?" I said playing the innocent card. He just laughed at me and shook his head. "You know you can tell me anything Alexa." He glanced on my neck, making me look where he was looking at.
I looked at him confused then it suddenly clicked, he must think that I have a mate. I began to laugh hard at him, and he just looked at me more confused than before. When I finished laughing and wiped my tears, I looked up at him. "Dad no. I don't have a mate Max bi..." I stopped myself from getting any further.
If my dad finds out that Max bit me, he's going to flip out. "He did what!" My dad yelled at me with black eyes. "Dad, it was an accident. He didn't mean it and besides, it's not a real mark it would fade away in a couple of days anyways." I said trying to reason with him but it only made things worse.
"Things are not going to stay like this. It's time for me to have a man to man talk with him." My dad said as he walked away.
I walked into the kitchen, looking for my mom. It's been hours since my father left, and he hasn't return yet. I'm sure this isn't going to end well and it's all my fault. I should have hidden that stupid bite mark. I put some makeup over it so it wouldn't be visible. I couldn't risk it again. Not with my brothers here. It would be World War III. They hated Max already and with the bite, it would be the cherry over the top, and I couldn't handle more fights.
I'm getting tired of fighting, tired of the hate and tired of pretending. From now on, I think it would be the best if we start again. This is getting old and quite tiring if I might add. I know Max did some horrible things, but everyone deserves a second chance, no matter who they are or what they did.
But before we do any of this. I must get my feelings straight. No more confusions or mix signals. Nothing.
The only one with the answers is Max. Well! This totally sucks. Guess I can't be in denial anymore.
“You know very well, deep down.”
