The moment everyone was waiting for was finally here. The school yard was decorated with different kinds of graduation hats, different color of balloons and elegant white chairs. Everyone was wearing their black graduation suit, smiling, and laughing with their family and friends.
Everyone was excited to be here today. Who wouldn't? It's graduation day. The teachers were chatting with different families and colleagues, shaking hands and patting shoulders as they talked. I smiled and excused myself when I saw my parents looking around. "Dad. Mom." I greeted them as I hugged them individually.
"I can't believe my babies are graduating." My mother sniffed as she wiped her tears away with her handkerchief. "And I'm going to be a grandma already. I feel so old." My father rolled his eyes at her and shook his head while mumbling 'women' under his breath.
I shook my head at them and walked toward my friends. "Alexa!" Christina squealed as soon as she saw me coming and rushed to my side. "You're huge now!" I glared playfully at her and greeted Sarah with a hug.
"You guys are so mean." I pouted slightly, crossing my arms as I stomped my foot stubbornly. "Hey girls." Chloe waved at us when she saw us and walked toward us. "I can't believe we're graduating! Group hug." She squealed loudly as she hugged us all, jumping around in joy.
"I think I shouldn't have eaten this morning." I made a gagging face and rubbed my stomach slightly, breathing in and out. "Sorry." Chloe smiled cheekily at me and linked our arms together, walking us toward my brothers and Zoë.
"Hey." I waved at Zoë and gave her a side hug. She was about to pop and I swear that mine was bigger than hers. Had to be me the one having twins. Don't get me wrong. I love my babies so much.
"Wow. To think I am the one popping before you." Zoë teased me, making my face fall and I glared at her with pouted lips. "What's going on here?" Arms sneaked around my belly and a kiss was placed on the side of my neck.
"They are being mean to me." I pointed at Zoë accusingly as I scrunched my nose up with a huff. "Leave my beach ball alone." Max replied with a serious tone making me widen my eyes and turn around to slap his arm.
"You think you're funny. Now let's see where you're sleeping tonight." After Max and I reconciled, we decided that it was the best if I move in with him, school was almost over so my parents didn't make a big fuss about it.
Someone cleared their throat, making us turn around to look at Jake who was standing on the platform in his suit. "Welcome families. Friends. Teachers and most importantly students." Jake's voice boomed into the speakers. "Let us all take a seat please. The ceremony is about to begin."
We walked toward the chairs, greeting and smiling at the other students as we took a seat in the front, my parents and Zoë's parents sitting in the back. Max took my hand in his and rubbed my knuckles as we paid attention to Jake.
"For me. It's a pleasure and an honor that after a year of vicissitudes we finally can say goodbye to the seniors who fought so hard to be the man and woman they are now." Jake started with his speech.
"I wanted to say personally that this year was the hardest year I've ever experienced." Jake laughed awkwardly as he ran his hands through his hair. "Well enough of my rant. Now let's get started. Put your hands together for Sarah brunette." The audience clapped as Sarah made her way to the platform, kissing the teachers on their cheeks as she posed for a picture.
She took her diploma and walked off the platform. "Next we have Justin Harris." We clapped as Justin stood up, giving Max a man hug, and walked toward the platform, hugging the teachers and posed for a picture. He took his diploma after the picture was taken and walked off the platform.
"We're honored to call the son of the founder of this school. Maximinus Arden." I cheered as Jake named Max name and gave him a quick peck on his mouth as he made his way toward the platform, giving Jake a handshake and a man hug before walking toward Karla, posing for a picture.
I stood up with the help of Chris and clapped my hands, cheering and making loud noises as he hugged Karla and took his diploma, walking off the platform. He rushed off the platform and pulled my feet off the ground as he hugged me tightly but made sure not to hurt me, planting a kiss on my lips.
"Can we continue now Mr. Arden?" I blushed and buried my face in Max neck as he lowered me on the ground.
We sat down as Jake continued naming the students. "Give a round of applause for Anderson Armstrong." I jumped from my seat and clapped loudly as Andy stood up, hugging Zoë before rushing up the platform, shaking Jake's hand and walked toward Karla and posed for a picture.
"Next one Lucy Garkes." The students clapped as Lucy made her way up the platform, hugging Jake and posed for a picture as she took her diploma, walking off the platform. "Put your hands together for Miss Christina Grimmie." I clapped my hands as Christina stood up, hugging Sarah and I and made her way to the platform, greeting Jake and kissing Karla on her cheek as she posed for a picture.
"We call our next student Christopher Larkins." Christopher stood up and man hugged Justin and Max before rushing toward the platform, shaking Jake's hand and hug Karla, posing for a picture. "Our next student to receive her diploma is Chloe Grant." We all stood up and clapped our hands together as she walked up the platform, greeting the teacher and posed with Mr. Gray.
"Next student to receive his diploma is Jaden Smith." I rolled my eyes and clapped lightly as Jaden made his way to the platform, shaking Jake's hand and man hugged Mr. Gray, posing for a picture. "Our next student is Alexander Armstrong." We cheered and clapped as my brother stood up, hugging my brothers, and walked up the platform, greeting the teachers before posing for a picture, taking his diploma as he made his way off the platform.
"Our next student to receive her diploma is Zoë Grant." Whistles and cheers could be heard as Zoë made her way up the platform with my brother's help. She greeted the teachers, giving Karla a hug as she posed with Mr. Gray with her diploma in hands.
"Can I have your attention please?" My brother spoke in the microphone. "I want to say something very important to me." He turned to look at Zoë as he spoke. "Zoë. Since the first day I lay my eyes on you I knew that you were the one for me." Zoe pouted her trembling lips as she stared at my brother with glossy eyes. "And I must be stupid to not ask you this next question."
My brother gave Jake the microphone and walked toward Zoë, kneeling as he pull a small box out of his pocket. "Zoë Grant. You're the love of my life and here. In front of all these people I Anderson Armstrong ask you Zoë Grant, to be my wife." He looked at her and opened the box. "So. Will you marry me?"
Zoë put her hands on her mouth as she looked down at my brother with wide eyes in complete shock. She sniffed as she nodded eagerly, looking down at my brother who was putting the ring on her ring finger. The audience clapped as my brother sealed the deal with a passionate kiss.
I sniffed, getting emotionally and Max looked at me lovingly, wiping my tears with his handkerchief. I clapped as my brother and Zoë walked off the stage. "Come on. That deserved a bigger applause than that." Jake clapped his hands and more followed after.
"Give it up for our next student Adrianderson Armstrong." We stood up and clapped for Adrian as he gave Chloe a quick peck and rushed up the platform, shaking Jake's hand fast and hugged the teachers, posing for a picture with Mr. Gray.
"We saved the best for last. Our next student is no other than Miss Alexandra Armstrong." I stood up and gave Max a hug and a kiss before walking up the platform. I greeted the teachers and gave Mr. Gray a hug before posing with Karla for a picture. I kissed Karla on her cheek afterwards and hugged her, pulling away as she rubbed my stomach slightly.
"Okay I wan..." Karla picked the microphone and handed it to me, with a chuckle I said. "First of all. I want to thank all of you. My parents. Brothers. Friends. Boyfriend." I joked at the end as the audience laughed. "No seriously. Like Mr. Jake said. This was the hardest year ever but I've learned so much not only me, but I think every one of you learned something this year."
"Life always gives us a lessons and today. I've learned the values thanks to my friends. My family and all of you. I want to thank all my friends, for supporting my craziness. I know that Mr. Jake is basically sick of me but what can he do about it?" The audience laughed and I sniffed getting melancholic. "I said that I wouldn't cry today but what can I do? Blame it on the hormones." I laughed and switched the microphone.
"I know I'm rambling but whatever the last thing I wanted to say is thank you...Max." I turned to look at Max. "I basically hated you so much but look how it turned out to be. If some of you would have told me that I would be with Max and having his kids, I would have totally flipped out." I laughed between tears, pouting as I looked at Max. "Okay enough of me. Everyone stand up please and say goodbye to the senior year by throwing our hats in the air!" I shouted as I took my hat off, throwing it in the air as the students did the same with theirs.
The students hugged each other and chatted with their families. Balloons and firework filled the sky with their colors, giving the atmosphere a chill vibe. I squealed when I saw all my friends together and shouted group hug. "I love you guys so much. I'm going to miss you all." Instead of the group hug everyone turned to me and gave me a big hug.
"Aww, isn't it cute?" A bitter voice spat out, making us pull away to look at Lucy and Jaden. I shook my head laughing humorlessly as I crossed my arms. Son tal para cual.
"Oh. Who would have thought that the two of you would become best friends that quickly? I didn't see that coming." I smiled falsely at them as I looked at my nails, acting like I was interested in their bullshits.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk." Lucy taunted as she walked toward me, whispering in my ear. "You're pregnant right? And anything can happen to a pregnant woman, right? Miscarriage. An accident or on purpose." She hummed as she played with my hair.
I yanked her hand away and gripped her wrist tightly. "What are you implying?" I gritted between my teeth.
She shook her head and looked at me outrageously. "Nothing. How can you think that I would harm the future Alpha of my pack?" She widened her eyes, acting innocent. "Take care. Because you never know what might happen." She laughed cruelly and turned around, linking her arm with Jaden as they walked away.
I grabbed my throat feeling breathless, my body feeling restless as a wave of panic shot through my whole body, making me hyperventilate. I grabbed my stomach, gasping for air as I felt on my knees, feeling like I was drowning. I started to choke and caught up furiously, hot tears burning my eyes as they fall down my cheek.
I could hear screaming and shouting in the back, people touching me and trying to help me. I was having a panic attack for what Lucy told me. I was scared shitless of what might happen, I knew that what she said was a threat and I swear to God that I wouldn't let her harm my babies.
Max picked me up bridal style and walked me toward the school building, pushing the door open with his shoulder as we made our way in the hallways. He took us to the restroom and opened the door, pulling a stall open and put me down.
I put my hands on the toilet as a bile started to rise in my throat, making me gag. My body was shaking at the threat of Lucy, I was having a nervous breakdown and I feared for my babies' life. I cried out as I heaved my stomach. Max hands running down my back as he whispered soothing things to me.
I could hear my family asking if I was alright from the other side of the door. "I don't know. I don't even know what happened. I want you to ask her friends what happened for her to breakdown like that." Max replied sounding really mad.
"Lucy threatened her, well she didn't really say anything but she did say that something can happen to her and her babies." Christina answered a little nervous.
Max pulled away and I heard a loud crack sound as Max fist collided with the brick wall, making a big hole in the wall. "I'm going to kill her." Max growled out furiously and like that.
He was gone.
