Instead of answering Leslie immediately, Calix carried her toward the pool's edge, wading through the water. He tightened his arms around her figure, ensuring she was safe.

Once they reached the pool's edge, Calix carefully placed Leslie on the tile before jumping out of the pool, taking a seat by her side. The water lapped around their legs, soaking in the pool.

Wrapping one arm across her back, Calix pulled Leslie closer. A faint smile graced his lips as she leaned her head on his chest. The water dripping from his hair slid on his face, some fell on her.

"Leslie, you wanna know how I face him later, en? When it's the end?"

Leslie nodded softly, feeling warm and comfortable in Calix's embrace. Tilting her chin up, her eyes searched for his, finding his usual smiley ones.
