Chương 35: Chapter thirty one
After leaving Caihong's camp, Lantian walked towards the back door. By accident, she met with Ehuang on the way.
"Young lady Wu! How long have you been here?"
"Er…" Lantian thought it would not be good if they knew that she was coming for Caihong, so she mentioned differently, "I just arrived."
It was a surprise for Yang's eldest daughter to see Wu's girl inside her house without anyone alerting her.
"I don't know you are coming," she said and made eyes look around.
Lantian understood she was looking even if her brother came or not, so she told her, "I have a meeting with my friend near your house, then I take the chance to come in."
"I see." Ehaung nodded. She got the meaning of the high female visitor – that she came alone.
"I have to go now," Lantian spoke and wanted to leave, but the first Yang's daughter called her, "Er.. young lady Wu."
Hearing it, Lantian turned to the girly, "Yes?"
"After tomorrow, I want to invite you and young master Wu to come; I want to thank you for taking me on the tour last time."
"Oh," Lantian patted the fan on her palm, "after tomorrow I will not be available, but I think my brother is free. I will tell him."
Ehuang grinned from ear to ear. "Thank you so much." She lowered her knees.
In return, Lantian said "Um" in her throat and nodded her head slightly as a sign that she accepted her thanks. Then she rapidly excused her body out of the house. And to avoid the problem, she made her way through the front door of Yang.
Still the eldest daughter of the businessman held suspicion in her mind about the sudden presence of the governor's girl in her home.
"Why does no one tell me that young lady Wu is coming?"
"I don't know about this, miss," Xiaojie said.
"Tell the maids in the house if this happens again, all will get punished."
"Yes."
"Who will stay at home after tomorrow?"
Xiaojie thought for a short while then she said, "I heard that the master will go to meet with millionaire Chen. Third miss, fourth miss and fifth miss will go with second and third madams to the pagoda."
Ehuang smiled, "Good."
