Royce
For the first time in months, I let the music play through the speakers of my office computer. I usually didn’t play any because getting lost in the sequences and melodies was easy. But I couldn’t help my mood.
I finally kissed Carrigan. Or rather, she kissed me, but it still felt like a fireworks show hadn’t stopped in days. I hadn’t seen her in a few days, though, mainly because work had been so busy. Besides, we were still texting daily, which had to count for something.
I had texted Carrigan about meeting up after we each got off work. She was working until six, so I decided to get an extra hour of work in rather than go to the bar and bother her during her shift.
Nico was over the moon when I told him about our kiss. I’d be seeing him after my therapy appointment the next day. But all we’d had time to discuss was that Carrigan and I had shared our first kiss.
