Chương 32: Chapter 32. Battle for the Burning City

A blinding light enveloped Satria, and when it faded, he found himself in an unfamiliar place.

Standing before him were three distinct figures:

The first, a white-haired man with an air of mischief, was none other than the self-proclaimed super pervert, Jiraiya.

The second, a regal blonde woman in kingly attire, exuded nobility and strength—Artoria Pendragon, the King of Camelot.

The last, a hooded figure clad in garb reminiscent of the Assassin's Creed, was the enigmatic God of Hope.

Satria stepped forward and greeted them. "Hello. Are you the God of Hope and King of Knights?"

Both nodded.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Shin, or as you know me, the admin of the Dimensional Chat," Satria introduced himself with a calm smile. "Would you mind introducing yourselves as well?"

Artoria spoke first, her voice carrying the weight of authority. "You may already know who I am. My name is Artoria Pendragon, King of Camelot. It's a pleasure to meet you, Shin."

Next, the hooded figure spoke. "You can call me Patronus."

Satria raised an eyebrow. "Patronus, huh? Excuse me for asking, but are you an assassin? Or should I call you a member of the Hidden Ones?"

Patronus flinched slightly, his surprise barely masked. "That's... accurate," he replied after a pause.

Jiraiya leaned in, his curiosity piqued. "Hidden Ones? What's that?"

Satria explained, "The Hidden Ones are assassins who protect humanity from the shadows. They ensure freedom and keep humanity's progress on track. Think of them as ninjas, but with a broader mission and a different philosophy."

Patronus's POV

'How does he know about the Hidden Ones? That's supposed to be a secret organization. Who exactly is this young man?' Patronus mused, keeping a wary eye on Shin.

'Maybe he's like those reincarnation stories I've read online. We could just be fictional characters in his world!' the Nine-Tailed Fox within him suggested, sounding overly excited.

The One-Tailed Tanuki snorted. 'Stop overthinking, you internet-addicted fool.'

'Who are you calling a fool, you rat?!'

The five-tailed horse-dolphin hybrid sighed, silencing her siblings. 'Enough. Just observe. This Shin is no ordinary individual, but it's too soon to draw conclusions.'

Patronus nodded inwardly, his focus returning to Satria. 'This young man... His gaze is sharp, calculated. Like a predator watching its prey. He's definitely trained like us.'

Patronus broke the silence with a smile, applauding Shin. "Impressive. You seem to understand the Hidden Ones well. And..." He turned to Artoria, taking her hand gently. "Your Majesty, may I say your beauty is unmatched? Perhaps after this mission, we could get to know each other better."

Arturia's face turned a deep red as she stammered. "W-What? My beauty? I..." She looked away, flustered. "Fine, but don't call me 'Your Majesty.' Just Artoria or Saber."

Patronus nodded, his tone smooth. "As you wish, Artoria."

Jiraiya, observing the exchange, scribbled furiously into his notebook.

Satria watched the scene unfold and couldn't help but sweatdrop. 'Wow, this guy works fast. Impressive.'

[Fatalis: Be careful, my brother. This Patronus carries nine beast within him - each of them has great power. I can't recognize them all, but they are very powerful]

Satria smirked slightly. 'Good. Let's see what he's made of.' He opened the Dimensional Chat to check in on Spider-Man.

___________

Shin: "@Spider, where are you? We've arrived in your world."

Spider-Man: "I'm evacuating my family and others to safety outside the city. There are too many monsters, and I can't handle them all alone. The gate—it's massive. We need to destroy it, but Baobhan and I have no idea how."

Batman Junior: "So, do you guys have a plan to close the gate?"

Shin: "Unfortunately, I'm no sealing expert. This is out of my area of expertise."

Kazuma-sama: "Great. This is just perfect."

Shin: "Peter, where are the Avengers?"

Spider-Man: "Mr. Stark is discussing options with the government. Their idea? Drop a nuke on New York."

Robin Junior: "Are they insane? Typical government nonsense."

Shin: "Alright, let's regroup and come up with a plan before heading into battle."

Ice Sadist: "Can you open the livestream? I want to see the action up close."

[Shin has started livestreaming]

Shin: "Spider, can you rendezvous at this location?"

[Shin has shared his coordinates]

Spider-Man: "On my way, guys."

____________

Peter POV

The situation in New York was pure chaos.

Peter Parker sat in an evacuation tent outside the city, now under strict quarantine by U.S. soldiers. Inside the tent were Aunt May, Gwen Stacy, and Baobhan Sith, all trying to process the unfolding nightmare.

Peter, however, sat in silence, his face clouded with guilt.

He couldn't erase the horrifying images from his mind—innocent men, women, and children transformed into grotesque undead creatures by the invading forces. His hesitation to kill his enemies had cost lives, and the weight of his perceived failure bore down on him like a crushing tide.

"Peter, are you okay?" Gwen's gentle voice broke the silence. She knelt beside him, her eyes filled with concern.

Peter shook his head, his voice barely above a whisper. "I failed... as a hero. I couldn't save them."

His hands clenched into fists as he relived the moments when his refusal to take a life led to others losing theirs.

Aunt May, ever the nurturing figure, placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "No, Peter, you're not a failure. You're a kind boy who's always done his best to save people. That's what makes you a true hero."

Gwen, sitting closer now, cupped his face gently, her forehead touching his. "Your aunt's right, Peter. You've saved so many lives. Please, stop blaming yourself. You're not alone in this."

But Peter's guilt ran deep. "No... I am a failure. If I wasn't such a coward, maybe they'd still be alive." His voice cracked with self-loathing.

Suddenly, a sharp slap rang through the tent.

Baobhan Sith had struck Peter's cheek, but before he could react, she pulled him into a firm embrace.

"Stop speaking nonsense, you dolt," she said sternly, her arms tightening around him. "You're the hero everyone needs, and my proud idiot. Never forget that."

Her words caught Peter off guard, but they hit him where it mattered most. Baobhan knew how kind and selfless he was—how he would sacrifice everything to protect others without hesitation. It was his strength, but also his greatest vulnerability.

Peter's tension eased, and he returned the hug. "Thank you, Baobhan," he said softly.

Pulling away, he donned his mask once more, his resolve hardening. "I have to go back. There are still people out there who need me."

Aunt May's voice trembled as she stood. "Peter, no! It's too dangerous! You can't go back out there. I forbid it!"

Gwen stepped forward, gently holding May's hands. "It's okay, Aunt May. Baobhan will be with him. She'll protect him. I promise."

May's gaze shifted between Gwen and Baobhan. For a long moment, she hesitated, then sighed in resignation. "Fine. I'll trust you, Baobhan. Please, keep my boy safe."

Baobhan smiled confidently. "Leave it to me, Mother-in-Law." She turned to Peter with a teasing grin. "Come on, Master. Let's go save the world."

Peter and Baobhan left the tent, heading toward the gathering point where the Dimensional Chat members were waiting.

As the tent's flaps closed behind them, May let out a heavy sigh. She turned to Gwen with a curious look. "They're such an odd couple," she murmured. Then, after a pause, her brow furrowed. "By the way, Gwen... what exactly is your relationship with Peter? I thought he was dating her?"

Gwen froze at the unexpected question, her cheeks turning crimson.

"...W-We... share him, Aunt May."

Silence fell over the tent like a thunderclap.

"...Huh?" Aunt May's stunned expression said it all.

New York, United States

The city was unrecognizable—a chaotic hellscape overrun by grotesque monsters and twisted abominations. From the rooftop of a tall building, four figures stood silently, taking in the horrifying scene below.

"What is this...?" Satria's voice broke the silence, his eyes scanning the carnage. "There are too many monsters and undead surrounding the city. We need to act now! We can't let them escape and spread the chaos to other cities."

Below, the streets were a battlefield. Creatures slaughtered innocents with ruthless efficiency. Necromancer-like beings twisted fallen humans into their monstrous army, their laughter echoing through the city.

The other three members of the group stood frozen for a moment, their battlefield experience struggling to process the scale of this massacre.

"Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!"

The voice of Patronus snapped them out of their shock as dozens, then hundreds, of clones appeared around him in a seamless wave of shadow and light. The sight left Satria and Jiraiya speechless.

"You can use ninjutsu? How?!" Satria demanded, his voice tinged with confusion.

Without pausing to explain, Patronus turned to his clones. "Four of you, create the Four Red Yang Formation. The rest of you, evacuate civilians and destroy as many monsters as you can. Move!"

"Yes, boss!" the clones chorused, vanishing into action. Moments later, a massive red barrier appeared, encasing the entire city in its glow.

Satria stared in disbelief at the barrier. "This... this is the Shinsekiyojin. Impossible!"

Jiraiya nodded, his expression equally shocked. "Creating a barrier this large usually takes four shinobi with Hokage-level strength. But he did it alone—with his clones!"

Artoria's eyes narrowed. "They aren't illusions," she said softly, her voice laced with wonder. "They're solid clones. This isn't magic, but something else entirely."

Before they could delve deeper into the mystery, the sound of a web snapping against metal caught their attention.

Swinging through the air on strands of webbing was a familiar figure in red and blue. A second figure—this one pale, red-haired, and winged—flew gracefully beside him.

"Peter!" Satria waved. Spider-Man landed with a flip, followed by the winged Baobhan Sith.

"Hey, Shin! Uncle Jiraiya! King of Knight! God of Hope! Welcome to New York—though, uh, not the best time for sightseeing." Peter's tone was light, but the strain in his voice betrayed him.

Jiraiya, ever himself, grinned at Baobhan. "Well, hello there! And who might this lovely lady be~?"

Before Baobhan could answer, Artoria delivered a swift punch, sending Jiraiya's face into the rooftop floor. "Control yourself, pervert."

Baobhan stepped back. "Stay away from me," she said sharply, sensing the old man's intentions.

"Ugh... You're so strong like her," Jiraiya groaned, pulling himself from the rubble, the blonde king reminding him of Tsunade.

Patronus stepped forward, cutting through the banter. "Focus. Do you have intel on the enemies we're facing?"

Satria took a deep breath, his tone grim. "What you see here is only a fragment of the Burning Legion. They're a dark force created by Sargeras, a fallen Titan. Their sole purpose is to purge all life in every world they invade."

"Sargeras?" Patronus frowned. "I've never heard of any Titan by that name."

"You wouldn't have," Satria said. "This threat is from beyond this world. What we need to figure out is how they got here."

Artoria gripped her sword tightly. "What's the plan?"

"We divide and conquer," Patronus said, his voice calm yet commanding. "Shin, Jiraiya, and Artoria will head for the portal and seal it—or destroy it. I'll work on evacuating civilians with Peter and his girlfriend before back-up you guys."

Reaching into his cloak, Patronus handed each member a kunai marked with strange runes. "If things get dangerous, throw this. I'll come to you immediately."

"Got it."

Satria POV

Satria watched Patronus silently as the group descended into the chaos. 'That guy... How does he use ninjutsu and live in the Marvel World? Is he perhaps the same as me?'

[Fatalis: It's baffling and that barrier—it's on par with feats I've only seen in anime]

The musings were cut short as a wave of abominations lunged toward Satria. Without hesitation, he activated Fatalis's powers combined with the speed force energy, his form blurring into motion as he sliced through his enemies with dark energy and blinding speed.

Up ahead, he spotted four figures locked in combat—members of the Fantastic Four.

Johnny Storm's fiery form darted through the sky, hurling flames at the encroaching monsters. "These guys just keep coming!"

"Less complaining, more fighting, Johnny!" Sue Storm shouted, her force fields flickering as she protected her team.

One of the monsters broke through her shield, lunging at Johnny from behind.

"Dark Flash Lance!"

A streak of dark lightning struck the creature mid-air, disintegrating it instantly.

Johnny turned, stunned. "Whoa! Thanks, uh... whoever you are!"

Satria stepped into view, his black armor gleaming ominously. "Save your thanks for later. We have a battle to win."

Sue offered a nod of gratitude. "Agreed. Let's focus on survival first."

Ben Grimm cracked his knuckles with a grin. "Finally, someone who gets it."

Satria leapt into the fray, moving with inhuman speed as he teamed up with the Fantastic Four. The battlefield roared with chaos, but he fought with relentless precision, a dark blur cutting through the monstrous tide.
