Aaron chuckled.

"Ha... Ha... Ha... Ya, ya... As long as you're safe and happy." The laughter was replaced with a serious look that Mai couldn't interpret. Mai's heartbeat has been getting louder since earlier.

Those brown eyes made Mai nervous and awkward, especially when the gentle gaze was accompanied by a sweet smile.
