Chương 23: 23. Family.
I helped the depressed Mystique to the car and even buckled her in. She seemed mostly dazed about everything.
"Let's go see your children and explain everything. I'm sure they will understand." I tell her calmly before starting up the car and driving back towards the mansion.
"What if they hate me?" Raven asks quietly.
"Its truly hard to hate ones parent unless they have done something truly unforgivable. You however haven't and have time to fix your relationship with your children and get to know Kurt. I'm sure it will take a bit of time to get thier trust, but they are good understanding kids." I calmly pat her leg reassuringly.
"What about Charles?" She asks with worry.
"I'll handle him. I'm sure he will understand, after all he is the forgiving kind. Besides one mention of mind control and he will see your side. Just don't do anything like try to destroy the mansion or something." I advise.
She is quiet for a few more minutes.
"Thank you for helping me." She says.
"No problem, it seems to be something I'm good at." I chuckle. "Would you like to stop and get something to eat?"
She nods after a moment.
We pull into a nice burger shop and order some food and she quickly scarfs it down along with a chocolate shake.
"So what did you gain out of helping me?" She asks suddenly.
Quite a bit but I wont mention most of it.
"Rogue or Anna Marie is my friend, therefore letting her reunite with her mother and be happier is what I gain out of this. Also Kurt is a friendly guy and I enjoy his character. I'm sure he would like to know about his mother as well." I offer in response.
She nods.
"I'm going to need the address for the brotherhood mutants though. I need to have a little chat with Pietro." I tell her.
"Are you going to kill them? They are just children." She says with a frown.
I shake my head.
"No, however they can't keep going how they are right now so I'm going to fix it." I had thought of a plan.
She looks at me for a second before telling me the address.
The rest of the ride is rather quiet until we reach the mansion.
Raven follows me into the house as I make my way towards the professor's office.
Hes a little surprised to see Mystique still with me.
"There needs to be a bit of a discussion between you, her, rogue and kurt." I explain while she sits down.
I go and retrieve Rogue from my room and Kurt from his before leading them to the office.
"What is she doing here?!" The both exclaim in shock.
"Sit down. Over there on the couch." I point the two to a small loveseat off to the side.
They hesitate for a second before sitting down.
The professor is looking at me curious about all of this and mystique is fidgeting nervously.
"Now, I just returned from my sorcerer friends house to restore the mind of Miss.Darkholm here. Apparently your friend Erik or Magento was using a man named Nathaniel Essex to brainwash her and modify her mind. Even erasing her memories of her son and forcing her to do things against her will." I explain to the trio who are shocked and confused. "Kurt is Ravens biological son, however Erik had that information removed, as for what she did against Rogue that also wasnt her fault."
Rogue jumps to her feet. "What?!?! You can't just expect us to believe..."
"Sit down!" I glare at the girl who freezes and sits quickly.
"You will believe it because it's TRUE. As for Magneto, the sorcerer supreme or ancient one deemed him as a danger to humanity, he was disposed of as well as Nathaniel Exxex or Mr.Sinister. Both are dead and wont be causing problems anytime soon. Along with Logans Brother Sabertooth and a man named Pyro. Now if you both want to blame a person who was mind controlled, for her actions I'll be absolutely disgusted with both of you. You dont have to forgive her or trust her but you can atleast hear her out." I glare at the two teens who meekly nod.
Charles however is shocked beyond belief, his oldest friend was dead and had committed such atrocities?
"Anyway I've got some business to attend to." I stand up and head for the door. "Charles I hope you can tell Logan his brother has passed on." I add before leaving the room.
As soon as I'm out if the room I head for my own.
Sitting there is Wanda who is reading the magic book and writing down notes. I pull out the paper from my spatial ring and pass it to her. "This should help you understand some things." I tell her as she looks it over and smiles.
"Thank you."
I pat Laura on the head who is curled up asleep on the couch and head out of my room. "I'll be back in a bit so don't stay up too late." I tell Wanda.
Am I going to tell her I killed her father? Nope.
I pull out my phone and look up the address that mystique told me before heading out of the mansion and speeding off.
Arriving at the location it was a kind of run down apartment building.
I made a large ball of steel in the air and quickly shaped it with magnetism. Before using Kitty's Intangibility to enter the house quietly.
None of the 4 even noticed I had entered into their trashed house until it was already too late and the metal wrapped around their throat and lifted them so they barely touched the ground.
I lined the 4 up and smiled at them as the scratched at thier neck to try to tear the steel rings off that were choking them.
"Hello guys, I believe it's time we had a little talk." I tell them as I look over the dump of a building.
