Chương 79: Chapter 79: Relentless Chase

To put it bluntly, Li Yexing and Leon are running for their lives. Hearing the chaotic sounds of shouting, gunshots, and tumultuous waves behind them, Leon can feel his scalp tingling.

"Why do things always have to end up like this..." Leon muttered to himself.

The two of them were running through the alley while being chased and attacked by hundreds of enthusiastic and hospitable "black uncles."

They were constantly blaming and accusing each other, trying to shift the blame and avoid responsibility.

Fortunately, those black uncles had terrible aim, otherwise, the two of them would have been riddled with bullets by now. But how did it come to this?

It all started five minutes ago when Leon saw one of the black uncles with a flashlight shouting and yelling in his direction. He thought they had been discovered, but it turned out that the black uncle was just calling out to their allies who were walking in the opposite alley. Leon's mistake led to Li Yexing's accidental shot, and they were both fully exposed to a group of black uncles."

Although Leon reacted quickly and immediately smashed the flashlight, those guys still kept chasing them, shooting and yelling. This caused more and more black uncles to join in the chase, starting with just a few people at the beginning, and suddenly turning into hundreds.

"Not everyone will come out!" Li Yexing said. "Those guys just took over this town and are still clearing the battlefield. It's impossible for all of them to chase us out. The buildings outside are more complex, but as long as we can escape, we will have a chance to survive."

"You call the shots!" Leon responded.

The two of them then instantly accelerated, jumped off the roof, and ran straight toward the checkpoint outside, with the Rebel Forces personnel following suit. The scene was like dumplings in a hot pot, boiling over.

Ignoring the pursuers behind them, Li Yexing and Leon ran wildly on the dirt road.

However, when they were about forty meters away from the checkpoint, Leon suddenly said, "Something's not right."

"What's wrong?" Li Yexing asked, somewhat impatiently.

"Why isn't anyone guarding the checkpoint?" Leon asked. "How could a place like this be unguarded?"

"Brother, spare me! I have enough of this shit!"

As if to confirm Leon's words, a tall figure walked out from behind the checkpoint wall the next second.

The guy was probably over two meters tall, wearing oversized black pants, tattered boots on his feet, a row of black people's heads hanging from his waist, his bare black upper body showing solid muscles and various scars, his head wrapped in black cloth, and a huge bone-chopping blade in his hand.

The figure dragged a Government Forces corpse in his hand and leisurely walked to the front of the checkpoint, blocking Li Yexing and Leon's way.

Li Yexing and Leon both stopped, looking at the monster in front of them, their expressions instantly becoming extremely ugly.

"I don't think he'll let us go..." Leon said softly.

"Yeah, after all, he doesn't look very friendly." Li Yexing responded with a face full of frustration.

The two of them raised their guns and looked at the monster in front of them and the Rebel Forces that had caught up from behind. They both said in unison, "Can't you guys find anyone else to play with?!"

It seemed like they had heard the conversation between the two of them. The several hundred Rebel Forces personnel behind them slowed down, grinning and shouting as they approached Li Yexing and Leon, firing their guns into the air and slowly closing in on the two of them as if on a leisurely stroll.

The monster in front of them casually tossed aside the body of a Government Forces soldier and approached them, dragging its heavy bone-chopping blade. Perhaps it thought that their heads would make better decorations for its belt than those of the black soldiers.

Li Yexing raised his gun and aimed at the monster dragging the bone-chopping blade, while Leon aimed at the Rebel Forces approaching from behind. The two of them opened fire simultaneously, but it was meaningless.

"I'm sorry, Master. Rita is late. I'm sorry for the scare."
