Chương 15: A Deal with the Devil

"Well. Do you have them?"

I asked as I sipped green tea fearlessly.

"Of course I do, and aren't you worried that tea is poisoned."

»Aphrodisiac and Heightened Sensitivity Drug Found, Neutralized using: Talent - Poison Immunity All«

My mouth twitched as I spoke with annoyance.

"Not at all."

"So, remind me what you got and then we'll go to the Grail Auction."

I raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"They're still holding it?"

"OF COURSE! Who do you think we are? We are the Gods Of The Black Market In Our Galaxy. We had people from other planets there that day and that was a simple slap in the face.

We will restore our prestige by selling 25 Grail Level Items!"

My eyes widened. I thought about it before mumbling.

"I guess I'll need to give out a few IOUs."

[You need to explain this too. Just who are you now?]

{Later}

"Probably, after all, I heard there were emissaries coming after all."

I spit out my tea.

"The 10 Emissaries?"

"Yep."

I had yet to look at my face yet and had my mask off around while I was with the 'Demon' because I don't particularly care when I don't have it on around those I trust. Little did I know, the grin I wore at that moment, would be the precursor to a lot of annoyances.

The 'Demon', seeing a chance, couldn't help but tease me.

"Are you sure one of them isn't your lover? Depending on if they're Bi, gay or straight you might be in trouble. If they're Bi, you'll be fine. If they were a gay boy, you have a problem, if they were a straight girl, you have a bigger problem. You know how those people can be after all. So, what did you buy as items again? It was the Asura Valley Poison Elemental Flower, the As-"

He abruptly jumped up and flipped over the couch, dodging a deadly pillow. He saw my pouting and near tears face and chuckled before asking me for the list of stuff I bought. I turned away and listed it emotionlessly.

"From Asura Valley:

Poison Elemental Flower;

Asura Valley Snake Blood;

Stun Drake Scales;

Mutated Diamondback Venom.

The others were:

Blood Lion's Tears; Demonic Blood Bat Blood;

Peony Falcon's Husk; Rose-Light Inferior Phoenix Egg; Daedalus' Dahlia;

Flare Snake Skin; Infernum Fox's Bloodline - 25% of it; Requiem of the Blaze;

3 Vials of Flood Dragon Blood; 3 Vials of River Dragon Blood.

Then there were the slaves I bought:

One 1:2:1 Angel/Human/Drake Hybrid;

Two 1:1 Fox/Human Beastmen;

One 2:3:5 Pyre Dragon, Darklight Dragon, Life Lake Fox Hybrid;

One Telekinetic Fox."

"Who's the last."

I smirked as I remembered the rarity I found.

"The Fallen Angel."

The 'Demon' nodded before speaking.

"Well, they'll be brought here and we'll send them with you when we get back."

I furrowed my brows.

"We?"

"I, the 'Demon', The Black Market God of Truth, Hoarding and Money use the favor you owe to make you enter MY booth at the auction."

My eyes narrowed as killing intent began to bleed into the room.

"Do you know what that entails?"

I was simply asking with caution, I knew he knew well what it meant.

It meant me and him were working together for the auction. Anything either of us bid would be split between us. It basically made the thing into two auctions for us. One against everyone else, then one against each other.

"Of course, now let's go."

He clapped his hands and shouted in an indecipherable language.

»Would you like to gain Language: 'Devil's Tongue' for 1,750 Circumstantial points?«

'No.'

The 'Demon' led me to a room with an arch in the middle of the room. It lit up with purple and black light as the thing glowed, enhancing the room's dark colors.

He pointed in as he said.

"Ladies First."

I pointed in the same way and said.

"Players First."

He paused before giving a light chuckle and walking in. I followed shortly after.

\Plot: Author may or may not fuck up the description, don't blame them.\

(Author: Fuck you.)

The portal led to a huge donut *cough cough* donut-shaped futuristic space station made of glass and glowing red lines, it orbited in between a humongous black hole and a white sun. There were thousands of booths in the place but only 18 stood out. The booths were identical with a large gold cube exterior and a blue lining along each of their sides. The center of each of the sides except the glass side had a flag. The flags were for each of the 10 powerhouses and for the 7 gods.

The Gold Fire Dynasty's Flag had a black flag with a gold Phoenix head surrounded by flames on it, the borders of the flag were also gold.

The Kingdom of Pride and Pain had a green flag with two Red P's on it, both were outlined with gold.

The Forest Empire had a simple flag with a brown border and green trees forming a simple forest.

The Knight Republic's flag was a knight holding a shield in his left guarding his front while his right held an upright spear that was completely gold.

The Star States Conglomerate had a beautiful flag that was a simple black background with hundreds of yellow stars done with depth to them. There was a single silver moon on it with a white-gold outline.

The other kingdom's flags were obscured.

The symbol for each of the Black Market Gods were just the creature that symbolized them.

As we approached the booths, I noticed a scuffle near the booths. Some of them wore the purple and pink uniform of the Kingdom of Pride and Pain, while the others wore tight grey cargo pants and a grey long-sleeved shirt. They had a grey leather jacket with an emblem on the back, the emblem was quite interesting to be honest.

There was a white and black background in two halves of the emblem. Against the black background was a White Sun. Against the white background was a black hole. It even looked like it was sucking things in. In the middle was a black and red shield with a white-pink-gold sword through it. It looked a lot like this place, except for the sword and shield.

As we got closer, I could hear more of it.

"FUCK YOU! WE Bought this booth and no matter what fucking grudge you have against us, you can't take it from us! This place belongs to the Market Gods, you think they'll stand for this!?"

"WHO GIVES A SHIT! We ordered you to bow and leave and you didn't do either! Get out before I, your benevolent grandfather, kill you all!"

My eyes narrowed as the 'Demon' let loose an intent.

"Shut up."

The intent went through all the people there, not a single one daring to speak. The people moved out of the way, leaving a path for me and the 'Demon'.

\Plot: Quick explanation, Intent - The ability to send a direct message varying from a whole paragraph to a single word. The stronger the person, the more words they're able to use but it'll weaken the intent.\

They all turned, looking at the 'Demon' and me.

I smirked under my mask as my eyes went to crescents.

Intent: "Oi, 'Demon', I use my IOU to stay in my booth this time. I want to watch this show and my booth is in the perfect place."

'Demon's' intent: "Hm? Alright, it does seem interesting I admit."

I smirked slightly and split off, letting the 'Demon' take care of the emissaries. In the corner of my eye, I feel myself lock eyes with one of the grey clothed people. They wore a black mask with a turquoise '^' on their mask. They wore a grey cloak with the emblem on the back and stared directly at me.

A grin slid onto my face.

'Interesting indeed.'
