Chương 74: Crimson Army total victory

As always, every top ranked boss would activate their strongest skill when their life was threaten. In this case, Romeo acted totally the same as in the game. Right when he was badly injured or in gaming term, when his hit points approached red, his ultimate skill immediately kicked in.

Hovering slightly higher than a two storey building, Romeo glanced at the enemies surrounding him with a conflicted emotion. This was after all the first time he was forced to use his ultimate skill against people who were obviously weaker than him.

''Burning World!''

With both eyes closed, Romeo muttered those two word with a solemn tone.

''It's here!''

''Now guys!''

There was no need for Mays to give out commands as the two girls facing off the red dragon already shouted from the front.

''Water Chain!''

''Flame Chain!''

''Earth Chain!''

''Wind Chain!''

Every single magic caster present casted their binding skill after they heard the command. Dealing with this red dragon's ultimate move was so simple that even muscle head like Ria and Hallel knew what their next move would be.

Back in HeavensTale, there was a heated debate on this. Most players agreed that Zaramoth was stronger than Romeo because of how easy it was for players to kill Romeo. True, Romeo had better overall stats compared to Zaramoth but his ultimate skill on the other hand, was a complete waste.

Burning World was indeed fearful, only if it was casted successfully by the boss. Burning World was an area effect skill which turned the whole area into a molten lava zone where challengers would have their health and vitality sapped away as time passed. Nine out of ten party would be wiped out if they were trapped in it.

That was the case if it was successfully casted. In the current situation, the chances for it to happened was practically zero though. After countless trial and error made by players over the years, they found the perfect solution to prevent Romeo from casting his ultimate skills. A party only needed three different mages to cast their chain at the same time and it would surely stopped Romeo from his track, immediately disrupting the casting of Burning World.

''Ehhh? How?''

Nobody could describe how Romeo felt at the moment. In his thousand years of domination, never once had his Burning World got interrupted during the casting process. True, higher level beings like King Hitam Legam could survive the Burning World without much difficulty but he was sure that even King Hitam Legam couldn't interrupt him from casting that skill.

These group of humans seemed absolutely trained in it. It was as if they had fought against him countless time prior to this, easily coordinating with each other to disrupt his move. Romeo noticed that fact since the very start but he brushed it off as if it was some coincidence. He then realized how wrong he was when most of his signature move was rendered useless by these people.

Chained to the brimmed, the once almighty red dragon looked like a meek cattle ready to be butchered. Romeo knew that he was already on his last straw. He couldn't win against these people. Not to mention that the man who seemed to be their leader had not raised his hand at all. If only he joined the fight, Romeo was sure that his defeat would come sooner.

''It's my loss. How did you guys do that?!''

Reverting back to his human body, the old man only had his pants on right now. His upper body was riddled with injuries it pained one eyes just by looking at them. Even though all the chains disappeared after Romeo changed his body, their effects was still there.

As if everyone present inside the domain had come to the same conclusion, none of them raised their weapon toward the heavily injured Romeo. From the look of it, Romeo barely had any power to resist them.

''Nothing worth telling you about. It's just because we are humans.''

''Is this perhaps the so called power of human which even defeated the great demon king five years ago?''

''Indeed it is. Wanna have a go again?''

''Nah, I'll refrain from that. Also, I take back my word from earlier. You people do have what it takes to defeat us exalts.''

Apparently, this elder was not someone who couldn't accept his defeat openly. True, he might be haughty and arrogant but it was not baseless. He was after all one of the twenty exalts in the demon continent. He had the qualification to do so.

''What's next? Now that you had beaten this old man, would you claim my life too?''

His tone was still solemn as he was previously. This old man behaviour reminded Mays of the elder of his clan, his grandfather. Their temperament might be different but the way they carried themselves was quite similar.

A genuine martial artist was always true to their heart. They rage if they were angered, they cried if they were saddened and they always did whatever their heart told them to. That question from Romeo made Mays changed his mind. At first, he was adamant on killing this old man as he felt that he was of no use but he decided not to anymore.

''I'll be frank with you, old man. I kind of like your personality. How about changing your allegiance?''

''Uh... This...''

Romeo appeared hesitant the moment Mays suggested that. Since he didn't refuse it right away, there was indeed chances for him to agree but it was obvious that something was holding him back.

''Something bugging you?''

''I care not about this old bone of mine but there is indeed something of concern even for someone like me.''

''State your terms.''

''My last clansmen. My grandson and his two daughter. They had been held captive by King Hitam Legam for almost three century. I am only here because of them.''

There were traces of anger in his tone as Romeo talked about his circumstances. In fact, he hated King Hitam Legam the most. If not because of that wretched black dragon, his red dragon clan might still be the strongest dragon clan in DragonKeep Dukedom instead of the rainbow dragon clan.

''Meh, that's simple. It just happened that our next target was that black dragon himself so you can rest assured. We will surely rescue them if they are still alive.''

''If you managed to rescue them and ensure their safety, this old man will forever be your faithful servant.''

Romeo kneeled as he uttered his line. His eyes was crystal clear. It was obvious that he saw hope from this group of godkins. At the very least, his guts told him that this man in front of him was way better than that black dragon he despised.

''This old man is actually telling the truth.''

Drasca gasped in astonishment as she focused her mind power on Romeo. Even when her physical body was paralyzed due to activating her enhancement skill, her consciousness inside Mays was still as lively. Thanks to the connection she had with Mays, her consciousness was spared from being paralyzed.

''I believe you. But for now, i need to keep you hidden from everyone else. Please hide for the time being.''

Romeo nodded in agreement before he stepped into the carrier on top of Flamence without making a fuss. Flamence stared at the old man for a while before he gave in and let the old man climbed up. Mays chuckled at the scene where the unwilling Flamence stared dagger at Romeo as if challenging him to a fight.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The domain was dismissed right after the fight with Romeo come to an end. A group of godkin and spirits led by Mays stood mightily inside that area while the red dragon king was nowhere to be seen. From that sight alone, one would easily deduced what was the result of the battle.

Mays took a glance over the whole battlefield surrounding the palace without saying anything. From his current location, he could easily spot every single gold ranked insane bosses who was fighting against his army. As for the other black dragon and ogres all over the area, he didn't even spare a glance at them.

''What now, Mays?''

As if the fight earlier was not enough for her, she was eager to move against another opponent. Her blood thirst was apparent.

''Well, just go and rampage as you like I guess.''

''Heheh, will do!''

Just like that, Hallel leapt forward toward the closest target she could spot, a gold ranked insane bosses in the shape of a sabretooth tiger. This unlucky fellow was Timtim. He just happened to be fighting quite close to the domain earlier and because of that he was now the target of the Golden Reaper.

''Is that really okay?''

''Hehe, of course. These insane bosses are just small fries. If even Romeo couldn't do anything to you guys, then nobody present at the moment could.''

Mays chuckled as he replied. He knew what his girl would ask next. From her glittering eyes filled with eagerness, he knew that this girl was the same as Hallel, barely able to contain her excitement. The feeling of beating others was wonderful indeed, even Mays himself couldn't deny that.

''Then... Can I also go play a few round?''

''Heheh, I knew it. Just go. Bring along all the spirits too. They would make things easier for sure.''

''Haha okay. Let's go guys!''

Just like that, Ria and the rest of the spirits rushed toward another sabretooth who was not too far from them. Ria had no intention on joining a fight together Hallel at the moment, not when she realized how Hallel was better than her personally.

Ten minute passed just like that and the battlefield where Ria and Hallel joined showed overwhelming advantage against the gold ranked insane bosses. As for the black dragons and ogres which were scattered all over the city, most of them were killed by the group of spirits swiftly.

''What should the two of us do, master?''

Syaitona's voice suddenly interrupted Mays from his thought. Both Syaitona and Damia was still there beside him even after the rest of the spirits followed Ria into battle. Since they didn't join the previous fight, they felt that they were not included in everyone which Ria just asked for earlier.

''Eh, you guys didn't join Ria and the rest?''

Mays replied awkwardly as he didn't realized that either. His mind was focused on the battlefield as a whole hence he tends to forget about his surroundings.

''Well...''

''It's okay. Come with me. Lets end this fight.''

Before Syaitona finished her line, Mays cut her off midway. He had grasped everything there was for their current situation hence there was no need for him to waste time anymore.

With Air Step, Mays rose to the sky without being noticed by others. He was just a lone godkin amidst a chaotic melee. Nobody would bother wasting their breath just to steal a glance at him at the risk of their life during a war. Only the two dragon who hovered the sky focused their gaze on Mays as they currently had no opponent.

''Ladies and gentlemen. I am Mays, the leader of Crimson Army. I am giving you people a chance to surrender and pledge your allegiance to me if you valued your life. Immediately put down your weapon and raise your hand before I change my mind.''

With the help of his swordsman's taunt skill, it was easy for him to amplify his voice as he shouted. His words was heard by every living being present be it the Crimson Army or the gold ranked insane bosses who was busy fighting each other or even the elves who were hidden inside the palace, spectating the whole war from the sideline.

''Eh, wait. There are exceptions though. That black dragon and the ugly ogre over there won't be spared.''

Mays added in a resolute manner.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not just the gold ranked insane bosses, even the elves who was hiding inside the palace gasped in shock when they heard Mays's word. At first, they thought that this godkin was being arrogant but then they realized that the army which had been winning against those insane bosses was his army.

''Godkins. They are on a different level indeed.''

Comel had nothing else to say. That was her heartfelt comment. This was indeed the first time she felt respect toward someone of other race, someone weaker than her even.

''I saw this coming.''

Only Manissa grinned as she watched the show from the window not too far from the palace entrance. She knew now the whisper she heard previously was not for the small scale war between the elves and the goblins but the current war. The god's army was in fact this Crimson Army made up by these godkins.

She then caressed the collar on her neck as she stared at the lone figure standing in the middle of the paused battlefield.

''It might be good if I can follow him and travel all over.''

Manissa sighed before she dismissed that thought. After spending her whole life inside the city, she longed for the outside world more than anyone else. She was not strong as her brother. She couldn't even compare to the generals by her brother's side. There was absolutely no way for her to travel outside by herself.

The once hectic battlefield was brought to a sudden stop by Mays's announcement. All the spirits facing the gold ranked insane bosses stopped attacking their enemies. The bosses were also doing nothing as they utilized this chance to take a breather.

''Don't believe in his nonsense! He planned on killing us all when we let our guard down!''

The one who shouted was obviously the sole black dragon present, King Hitam Cair. Since he was already singled out by Mays, he had no reason to maintain good decorum any longer. As for Oggy who was also the target of killing by Mays, he tried to flee the moment everyone's attention focused on Mays and King Hitam Cair in the sky.

''He is not lying. I am the proof.''

The one who was most shocked when that humanoid figure flew toward Mays was not the King Hitam Cair but Assym, the Blue Dragon Empress. She knew that wrinkled figure way too well. That was the Red Dragon King, Romeo. Never would she had thought that this obstinate man who was proud to a fault would lower his head and serve someone else willingly.

''So then, any of you guys want to...''

''I surrender.''

The first one to surrender was Assym. She didn't surrender because of fear. Her gaze was crystal clear. She was totally determined to accomplish what she had set. It was because the reason for her unyieldingness had changed.

''Come here, Assym. I'll make sure nobody treated you unkindly.''

''You're too much, elder. I'm not a little kid anymore. I can manage myself.''

Almost all the other gold ranked insane bosses from the Black Dragon King's faction stared at the two of them without blinking. Never would they imagined that these two who seemed to be on bad terms were actually so close to each other.

They all thought that the blue dragon and the red dragon were archenemies. With how the two of them conversed all these time, they thought the rumours about how blue dragons aided the rainbow dragon in attacking the red dragon clan were true. With what happened just now, they didn't think so anymore.

''Romeo, how dare you betray my father!''

''Why wouldn't I dare? This godkin is thousand times better than your father!''

''Damn traitor!''

''SHUT UP! I NEVER WAS ONCE YOUR PEOPLE!!!!''

The elderly Romeo couldn't held back his anger any longer. He had been holding back his wrath against these black dragon for years. If Mays was not present at the moment, he would surely duke it out against that black dragon already.

King Hitam Cair who was at his wits end knew that he had no other option left except to flee. He flapped both his wings heavily before he shot toward the opposite side of where Mays stood.

''Trying to flee? Not a chance.''

''Hallow Sprint!''

The exact moment Mays shouted his skill's name out of his gaming habit, he disappeared without a trace. Almost everyone who had their eyes fixed on him were shocked senseless when they couldn't figure out where Mays had disappeared to.

''What the...''

Even Ria accidentally dropped her huge shield as her grip on that shield loosened. She was flabbergasted at what just happened. As someone who knew Mays's arsenal of skill like the back of her hand, this was indeed the very first time she witnessed that move. That skill Mays just used was not something from HeavensTale for sure.

If even Ria was shocked that much, one could guessed how his spirits would react. Thanks to the fact that almost every spirits had resheathed their weapon, none of those weapons were dropped to the ground. But the army of spirits were still gazing at the sky with a foolish look on their faces though.

In the sky, King Hitam Cair who tried to flee earlier stopped moving entirely after he saw something in front of him. He was totally shocked by what he saw which immediately made him unconsciously felt fear.

There was no trace of magic power in the vicinity. It meant that this person appeared before him without using teleport. He didn't even use short distance warp either. He appeared there purely using his physical movement skills.

What shocked him most was that the person who suddenly appeared in front of him was actually someone he was fleeing from. It was Mays. The very same guy he turned his back to a few seconds ago. How the hell did he miraculously made his way here faster than a flying dragon?

''Heheh, don't be shocked just yet.''

''Endless Domain!''

With a grin plastered on his face, Mays was planning to fight against this black dragon by himself.
