Chương 13: A small detour and round two with bauldur
"Hey guys, you go on up ahead. I got a small detour to do real quick. Also Atreus do not let the knowledge of being a demi god go to your head or I will give you an ass whopping. Understand?" I said to Atreus with a stern look in my eyes. "Y-yes Rey" Atreus studerly answered. "Good" I responded as I blast off at sonic speed past home and finding another hidden chamber near home. Destroying the seal I enter the chamber, "arise" I said Cooley as two ice trolls made of shadows mixed with green fire like energy came from my shadow.
"leave no survivers" I commanded as the shadow trolls went to town destroying the monsters coming from the realm tears while I was sitting upside down on the roof watching YouTube. Three minutes later I walk out the chamber with my two subordinates returning to my shadow. "hm, nice loot" I thought as I hold a pouch of pure essence of realms, dust of realms, and a purple rune stone that boosts health regeneration. Done examining my loot I blast off at sonic speed back to Kratos and Atreus but make a pit stop at sindri's camp.
"Yo sindri. What's with the sad look? Did something happen?" I asked with genuine concern in my voice. "Oh nothing bad happened, it's just that your brother said something that struck a nerve" Sindri said in a saddened but irritated tone. "Sigh. What did my brother say?" I asked in a tired tone as Sindri gave me the run down on what Atreus said word for word. "Oh you've got to be kidding me. Didn't I tell that knuckle head not to it go to his head! Sigh" I thought.
"Well I apologize for Atreus's rash impulse and here. I made this for you and your brother brok" I said giving sindri a modified revolver of Androxis from paladins. "I know you have that demimsional shifting thing but I made this for you just in case. This bad boy is highly customizable and can bring both minor asir and vanir gods to their knees. It also basically one shots dragons and gives the wielder dead eye, a skill which makes your perception extremely sharp and boosts your accuracy to god-like levels" I explained to sindri going into detail on how it works and it's self clean and repair functions.
"W-wow I can't thank you enough for this gift but isn't it a little to much?" sindri asked. "Nah, this is just enough and this is thanks for all the cool upgrades you gave me, dad, and Atreus. Also give this to your brother and take care" I said as I hand sindri a active camo lava hammer that can fuck up both gods and mortals if underestimated. Done with gift giving I blast off and found Kratos and Atreus coming out of one of Odin's hidden chambers, making this our forth freed Valkyrie. "Hey guys I'm back and I got a bone to with you Atreus" I said sternly as I give Kratos the health regen rune.
"What? Why should we care how we act around mortals or care for their well-being. We are gods aren't we?" Atreus said trying to justify his reasoning. "First of all we are not fully gods, dad is. Second, being a god doesn't mean being a jackass to everyone for no reason and would lead to your death if you keep going down this path. Third disregarding mom's heritage is blatantly disrespectful to both you and dad, and what happened to all that compassion you had during our journey huh?" I said trying to reason with Atreus.
"I-i uhhh" Atreus was stumped at what I said so I struck when the iron is still hot. "Here have a snickers. You're not you when you're hungry" I said with a smile while also trying my best not to burst in laughter. "W-what?" Atreus asked confusedly. "Sigh. Just eat it" I said as Atreus reluctantly eats the Snickers bar and a moment of realization and regret appears on his eyes. "I'm sorry father. I didn't mean what I said earlier, I was letting my knowledge of being a demi god go to my head. Thanks for getting me back to my senses Rey" Atreus said apologizing to me and Kratos.
"Don't be sorry, be better" dad and I said simultaneously. "ugh, you sound just like dad" Atreus commented as we used a nearby mystic gateway to reach the mountain. "Yeah, that's kinda the point" I said to Atreus as we move the interworkings of the mountain. We had to take alternate routes since some of the original ways we got up the mountain we're either destroyed or blocked. Also since I bought Atreus back to his senses he wasn't having that bratty I'm a god and I can do whatever I want phase, which I highly appreciate since I might have drop kicked his ass if he was. We also found another hidden chamber and we encountered another Valkyrie and one of Odin's ravens.
I took out the raven and we went into battle.
The fight lasted for 30 minutes since this one was a lot more tougher than the last ones we faced, but we were synchronized as we easily learned her fighting pattern. Taking advantage of this I used a new skill I made called [air mine] where I superheat the air around her causing a timed explosion at my command. Not finished I use [shadow rain] raining a hail storm of compressed solidified shadow bullets strong enough to pierce her wings and body, and ending the fight with Spartan rage as a black neon green fire surrounds my arms and I rip her wings off, freeing her and this being our fifth Valkyrie.
"You all fought well. But you two still need improvement" dad said praising our efforts while also giving us advice. "Ah. Is that a complement I hear dad" I said snarkly but was ignored as we found another lift. We wait in silence as we reach the top but that silence was cut short as Atreus started asking questions on why he kept this secret and how he got those blades and weapons. Kratos gave at Atreus vague answers until we reached the top of the lift, only to be bombarded by a horde of draugr's that we took care of quickly.
We continue our way through alternate routes of the mountain until we encountered a frost ancient. "We just can't catch a break can we" I thought as I distracted the frost ancient for Atreus to use his new bow of Apollo to hit it's core, weakening it. Kratos took this chance jump on it's chest and ripping out it's core, effectively killing it. We eventually reached the summit after getting some upgrades from sindri, and arriving at the last known and sealed gate to Jotunhiem. "We're finally going fufill your wish mom" I thought as Kratos used the chisel to open the gate to Jotunhiem. Only for me to sense danger and use my tails to block Bauldr's surprise attack. "Oh come the fuck ON!!" I thought as me and Bauldr had a bare knuckle brawl with Kratos tagging in.
Basically jumping Bauldr, we continue our bare knuckle brawl until he counters with a wave of ice heading towards me which jump over to give him a strong heymaker to the jaw, sending him flying for a few seconds only for him come back trying to impale me with a stake but blocked it with my tails and swoted em away. Bouncing back again he tackled both me and Kratos through one the gates pillers, destroying the gate. "Shit! We just got that damn gate open!" I yelled frustratedly as I had to hold Atreus so he wouldn't do something rash.
Not working he got out of my grip and rush's at Bauldr only to get folded but I pounce on Bauldr using my fangs to rip his jugular to shreds, similar to shamin's unlockable from for honor. Bauldr enraged flung me off em and tried to sucker punch me but I blocked it with my tails. However the force sent me flying all the way into the deapht's of the lake of nine. Sinking deeper I finally let loose as a storm of thunder and lightning burst forth, random volcanos erupt spewing fire and ash, and four huge black holes slowly circling around my location. "BAULDR!!!!" I shouted fully enraged as my spartan rage mixed with my dark form and I let out wrathful roar so loud that it causes earthquakes to occur around midguard and the sound of thunder intensifies.
Shooting out of the lake I immediately brake the sound barrier causing mini tsunami's as the four black holes follow me compressing into small orbs similar to sage of six paths as I burst through the realm travel room just as Kratos switched the gate from Adguard to Helheim shooting all of us through the winds of helheim. I grab Bauldr by the neck and repeatedly punched his face before I dragged his ass out of the wind, throwing him to ground.
Not done I use his body as a board, then pulled a hulk by repeatedly slamming his body side to side before throwing him deeper into helheim and using [ultimate: void breaker] sending a huge blast of black neon green plasma that vaperizes a quarter half of helheim. Slowly calming down I immediately go find Kratos and Atreus on a random platform.
Seeing Atreus I slowly walk up to him and smack him upside the up. "Next time don't lose your shit like that. You nearly got yourself killed you damn knuckle head!" I yelled scolding him for his rash actions. "I'm sorry. But hey, you can't be mad at me when you lost your shit causing a whole thunder storm that with one lightning strike vaperized the armored dragon we were just on, send a huge energy beam that could be seen from here, and roared so loud that me and dad felt the shock wave that literally violently shook the temple" Atreus said calling me out on my actions.
"Touche. Sigh... just be careful next time ok" I said with concern in my voice. "I'll try. Hey what that on your right hand?" Atreus asked. "Huh? What do y-" I tried to say but was cut off as I felt the same stinging sensation but on my right hand. Looking at my right hand I see an eastern dragon coiling a dark mountain with black neon green lightning arching around the dragon and mountain like an active camo. {dragon sin of wrath and thunder} suddenly came to my mind. "I think it's a new ability, but enough about that. How deep in helheim are we?" I asked. "We're really deep lad, and I suggest we get out of here soon" Mimir answered as we go out to get back to Tyr's temple.
{Dragon sin of wrath and thunder: The sin of wrath's rage is endless and fierce as the booming thunder. Makes the user stronger the more angry he gets. It also boosts the users power over thunder and lightning by 30%. This also gives user almost master control over their anger, making them extra deadly}
