Max arrived a couple of days before the date needed. The winter was coming, and the weather was colder and colder. Max himself got into a raid storm a couple of times and he did not enjoy it. There were lightning strikes hitting the ground and lightning snakes crawling through the sky. Max waited for all this lightning fun to over. It would be sad to get hurt or die because of lightning strike that would fly him up. Max was not sure about his new powers. He did not have time to check them yet. At least he felt generally like usual. He felt even better than usual. Max entered the city without any problems. While he was walking through it, he saw that it was like Alexandria but around five to ten times bigger. The only thing that interested him here, at least for now, were formations and alchemy. He got the fact that alchemy here was dogshit, but he still wanted to see the price ranges to know how much his products worth. It would be interesting to see how much money he lost, while selling his potions for the empire.
Max asked around and soon got the answer he was looking for. The city was bustling. There were so many people around. The power levels of those people were drastically different. The peasants were weak. A lot of them were not even at a level of knight apprentice. The nobles, on the other hand were formidable. There were a lot of knight apprentices and knight walking around. Max also saw a few mage apprentices of different levels walking around. Those people acted like they owned the place. Well maybe they really did. Max did not care. It was not part of his country. It was the problem of the Ruth empire that was going to decline anyway like the Alexander's country did because it groomed only the nobles.
Max walked around an hour. He did not take a carriage to arrive at his destination faster to see the city, the people, just to experience life. He wanted to interact with people in the best way he could after he exited seclusion. It was not a simulation, but real life and no simulation could win the real deal. Max soon saw a luxurious building that had a great popularity from the different nobles walking in and out from it. It had a few floors and was painted in blue and white colors. There were statues of popular alchemists with potions in their hands around the building and it looked really impressive.
Max could see nobles enter and exit the building. There were also retarded young masters that tried to look cool before everyone, that thought they were the centre of the universe. Max sighed looking at those brats. If it was him country he would slap them, but here he wanted to keep a low profile and don't cause trouble without a reason. He knew trouble would find him soon enough without him doing anything. With the amount of high-level forces that died in his country people will come after him. He was not sure if the empress would try to do something stupid as well. Max had a headache because of this but he decided to just solve the problems as they come and just entered the building of the alchemy association of the Ruth empire.
When he entered, he saw a lot of potions for sale. There were also pills and some pellets.
When Max started to look at the different products, he could immediately recognize a lot of them as an experienced alchemist. Max decided to do something similar at his country when he will have the ability and the manpower in terms of alchemy products produced.
Max had the inspection skill for alchemic products level and what he saw made him lose his enthusiasm. Most of those products were not even of a low level. Most of them were of such low standards that they would cause short or long range problems with the people that will use them constantly. For the pills for breakthrough, even one such pill could cause unstable foundation and decrease the maximum potential of the person that used it. It was a sad thing to see. Max was scratching his head. The prices for those potions were insane. One healing potion that was at dogshit quality was from 100 to 200 gold coins. It was a lot. Some of the potions, like the mana potions or the cultivation potions for mages were sold only for magic crystals. The problem was that they were of a horrible quality. Max would not let his enemy drink this. It was a potion with some shit floating inside. Max paid attention to the fact that this building had a few floors. Max tried to find the entry to the second floor and at the beginning he was stopped by two burly guards at the level of a knight, but after showing an identification that he was a king of a country he was granted the permission to enter.
When Max got to the second floor, he saw that the interior was of much higher quality. Starting from the parkette of the floor, the paintings that were hanging on the walls, the sofas that you could take a sit and just rest a little bit and the servants that were walking around and tried to help everyone to be satisfied as much as they could. Max was sure that they earned part of the product cost they could sell to the costumer.
Max walked around and saw that most of the products were of low level here. The prices were totally different. The price for health potion was from 250 to 350 gold coins. It was an insane price. The price to make this potion was around a silver coin. It was funny. Maybe those people here were using a lot of materials because of the fail rate, but even with this it should not cause people to buy potions for such prices. The funny thing was that people came to buy anyway. This pavilion of the alchemy association did not have any competition here and that's why they could just put on such prices and not get punished.
