Information about VANHA's geography, social structures, major forces, and such. A lot of technical stuff ah.

After the story progresses, a history section will also be included. Not now though.

Races, beasts, herbs, Languages, and power systems are not included.

GEOGRAPHY AND WEATHER

-As well as how it works ( kinda )

VANHA is much larger than the size of Earth, around 10x, and is still expanding, albeit slowly.

No, it's not a planet, it is a planar world. Yes, there are stars, but not balls of flames. They are condensed mana in space.

Think of it as a piece of flat paper, if you go too far then one will reach the end. Still growing every minute so it's unlikely.

Because of the mana realm that is everywhere, weather, things like volcanoes, and wind have no scientific pattern. It is based on the situation of the mana realm, which is really chaotic.

So say there was a battle that happened between high-tiered beasts, one of which releases an AOE snow spell, the area will be very cold, snowy for a while until the mana residue dissipates.

The same thing can happen with aura, for example, a phoenix resides in a place of snow but due to the aura that the phoenix releases, the area's snow will begin to melt and warm up.

Of course, that will not happen as a phoenix will not reside in areas of snow.

Wind can be caused by wind spirits, elementals, aura, and such. It's pretty random so... yeah.

FORBIDDEN LANDS

There are multiple forbidden lands in VANHA.

Forbidden lands aren't really 'forbidden', its just dangerous. People can go there, but no one is going to wanna look for you if you go missing.

One of which is the Umbral Forest. People who stay the night there go missing, it has a black color scheme and no animals.

MONEY

Divided into digital and physical. Mainly use digital for most things but physical for places of remoteness and/or highly important transactions, and need the physical form of currency to guarantee a successful trade.

Physical coins are silver, gold, and Platinum, and 1P:100g:1000s

( 1P = 1 platinum, 100g = 100 gold, 1000s = 1000 silver )

There is only one digital currency used by everyone connected to the Skynet, which is Aon. 10g is worth 1A, 1P is worth 10A.

( 1P = 1 Platinum, 10A = 10 Aon )

Of course, there are still private currencies in the forms of points, merits, etc. but are rarely used.

( Used in things like schools, guilds, sects, etc. )

MAJOR FORCES

-and some of their relationships

VANHA has three major forces, mainly the Federation, the Holy Empire, and the Solis Alliance.

( Federation = USA, Holy Empire = Ancient China, Solis Alliance = An alliance to ward off others. )

In actuality, there are four, but it's located in the ocean, called the Azure Dragon Palace.

( Azure Dragon Palace = established by a powerful dragon, more of a haven for dragons. )

The Rosen Bank should also be counted as a major force but is not counted.

( Rosen Bank = pure neutral force, like a company. )

FEDERATION

The Federation has a democratic structure, the citizens replace their leader every 100 years. Guilds like the adventurers guild, the mercenary guild, originate from there.

Made up of 4 states, each has different Laws and leaders. Namely Aquilo, Austo, Chelidonius, and Eurus. Meaning North Wind, South Wind, West Wind, and East Wind respectively.

They also have a good relationship with the Church of Life. Believers worship the God of life and soul, Leben.

Mainly inhabited by humans, but also welcome fae's, dwarves, and such. Leaders' positions are only available to humans. Don't welcome Infernals.

The humans there are extremely xenophobic, there is clear discrimination but won't act on it. This is mainly because from youth the humans are taught that humans are better than every other race, etc.

Slightly hostile ( more competitive ) relationship with the Empire.

Strength is about the same as the Empire.

HOLY EMPIRE

Holy Empire is a monarchy, similar to Ancient China, with the Royal family, other Aristocratic families but the Royal family has been the same for more than 10000 years.

The Royal Family is said to be blessed by the land, so anyone who tries to uproot their power will be cursed and the land will wither for 100 years, so no one dares to attack them.

Not much internal conflict but the aristocrats will jump at the chance to gain more power at any time.

The Apothecary Association and Blacksmith Association originate from there, as well as some other hidden forces like the Palace of Eternal Void, well known for their experts.

The main residents are humans, faes, dwarves. Welcomes all races so long as they are peaceful.

The Royal are humans with a special bloodline ( unknown what it is ) but aristocratic families, ministers can be any race so long as they are loyal to the Empire.

Slightly hostile ( more like competitive ) relationship with the Federation.

Strength is about the same as the Federation.

SOLIS ALLIANCE

Aka the Sun Alliance. Named this because the alliance was established under the sun at 12:00 on the new year.

Consists of small forces like kingdoms to sects, factions, and guilds.

Welcomes all races, so long as they aren't hostile to the Alliance.

The alliance is a neutral force, and will only act collectively if there is something that concerns their collective safety or anything major in the world. If not, then they will have to act alone.

Friendly with the other major forces, but will not interfere with others' relations. Weakest of the 3 major forces.

AZURE DRAGON PALACE

The island itself is artificial, just a mass of land that can move due to mana infused by the azure dragon.

While the name says that there is only one 'Azure Dragon Palace', there are two visible palaces. One underwater and the other on the island.

( For the underwater one, think of an upside-down palace, then flip the interior a bit. Decorate right side up, and there you go! )

Situated in the ocean, on a moving island. A haven for dragons both Eastern and Western.

( Western on land, Eastern underwater. )

Though it says 'dragons', they also welcome dragonkin like wyverns, wyrms, amphitheres, anything with at least a dragon ancestral lineage.

Doesn't welcome any other race to stay long-term, but they can pass by. Though must need the approval of a true dragon first.

It is unknown when the palace was first established, but its existence is was known after a ( past ) major force was found experimenting on a dragon.

ROSEN BANK

Works similarly to a company, the Rosen Bank has established 45 years ago, a fairly new force but it controls the riches of VANHA.

Unknown who started it, but it is said that there are 3 people at the top, all said to be geniuses and are fairly young.

The main headquarters are in the Neutral Lands but it is unknown where. Digital currency Aon is also introduced by the Rosen Bank, and the world accepted the concept easily.

It was already a concept, the Rosen Bank just realized it, so it wasn't that surprising.

Rosen Bank doesn't have a territory, but there are many sub-banks across the world of VANHA.

Major forces aren't willing to mess with them and welcome new banks as it promotes economic activity.

LAND DIVISION

VANHA has 5 major continents, all of which are surrounded by water.

3 of the continents belong to the Federation, Empire, and Alliance.

One belongs to the beasts and the other is the Neutral lands.

The beast continent isn't actually united so it doesn't count as a major force.

( Azure Dragon Palace doesn't count as a continent, it's classified as a Holy island * )

Neutral lands connect all 4 continents and have no one ruling the lands for more than 1 month. It is a free land for all where power reigns supreme.

Naturally, the major forces have tried to rule over it but they always failed so it is considered a 'neutral land'.

There are other neutral lands but the neutral continent is the largest.

The Silver continent was named because of the silver mines, belong to the Federation. Third richest in minerals.

Vermillion continent was named after a Vermillion bird descended there, mating with a human and creating the Holy Empire. The royal family is said to be its descendants.

Sun continent, although named a continent its more of 'tightly packed large islands'. Each belongs to a smaller force, they all signed an alliance so it's referred to as a continent.

Divine beast continent. It's the continent with the most beasts, there is an unknown mythology-level beast that resides there, so no one dares to make too much a fuss. Also very rich in minerals and natural resources, beasts can't make use of that so there is a lot. Second richest.

Neutral lands, a land of none, the best place for criminals to hide, strength reigns supreme. The richest place, although seemingly grey and dilapidated, underground is where it's really located.

HISTORY

[ At first, VANHA was a land of ice, and one day a beam of light shown down and melted the eternal land of ice.

Vast greenery surrounded by forests and mountains populated by faes, elves, and dragons lived their lives in peace.

Suddenly, a portal to the otherworld appeared, demons invaded and the inhabitants' peace shattered.

Near the end of the war, the elven hero and demons' leader ended in mutual destruction. Successfully pushing back the demons and killing the remaining ones.

Elven numbers dwindled, faes were a rarity, and only 8 remained. But humans have appeared and dwarves came out of the underground.

The land split into 5 with bridges in between, connecting to the mainland. Water filled the cracks and aquatic intelligent races appeared.

It is unknown how long ago this happened. ]

LANGUAGES

Common language

Arrunta

A language that can be understood and learned by all organisms with a vocal cord.

Draconic Royal language

Kiralyi

True dragon's language heritage, can only be learned and understood by those with some draconic blood or heritage. Contains power when spoken. Few words, when communicating, dragons will use a combination of two or three words due to lack of them.

Human language

Atlagos

Human language that all humans will know, there are many dialects but most are similar one way or another.

Beastial language

Vayri

A language of the beasts and is made up of grunts, growls, hissing(?), and a mixture of body language. In theory, it is possible for most to learn, just hard to imitate beast vocal cords.

Spirit language

Allos Kosmos

Language of the faes and elves. Can call upon faes using the language and is a common language used in summoning arrays. Has an extensive vocabulary and long history, contains power when spoken.

Divine language

Aspan

Language of the Divines can be understood by all but never spoken by other than the Divines or relative to them. Contains holy power and may harm 'dark' beings who hear it.

Infernal language

Tozaq

Language of the Infernals can be understood by all but never spoken by other than the Infernals or relative to them. Contains Abyssal power and will infect the psyche of others who hear it.

Ancient language

Sanco

A very old language, a more complicated version of Arrunta but contains a more extensive vocabulary. Commonly mistaken as runic language.

Dwarven language

Fierar

The language of the dwarves, generally very quiet as they came from underground where silence is mandatory. A language of history, although slight modifications were made over time, the language lacks the power it had at its peak.

Other languages

The ones listed above are the main languages used in VANHA, naturally, there are an innumerable number of languages in VANHA but these are the major ones.
