Ella's brow furrowed, her previously smiling face instantly turning cold. She turned her head and looked at the speaker with a cold gaze, a hint of anger in her voice as she said, "Do you know it's quite impolite to interrupt others' conversation?"
"I couldn't resist your charm, let's get acquainted. I am Finn, the chairman of Apex Industries Group. May I know your name?" Finn held a glass of wine in one hand, straightened his suit with the other, and even smoothed his hair a couple of times, his face beaming with a smile.
Alex surveyed Finn from head to toe; in his thirties, dressed in a suit, he seemed to have the demeanor of a successful man. He withdrew his arm from Ella's and, holding his wine glass, leaned against the sofa, observing Ella and Finn with a detached air, a faint smile playing on his lips.
Ella was seething with anger towards Finn, who had spoiled her pleasant time with Alex. With a stern expression, she coldly said, "I don't know who the chairman of the Group is, nor do I wish to make your acquaintance. Keep your distance from me."
"You..." In front of so many people, Finn was rebuffed, his face flushing red, his mouth agape but unable to utter a word. Finn, who considered himself to be young, handsome, and wealthy, thought it would be easy to win over the lady before him, but the outcome was quite unexpected.
"What are you doing! Get out of my sight this instant, your presence is vexing to me," Ella said with disdain, casting a glance at Finn.
The fire within Finn was rapidly rising. As a successful individual, when had he ever endured such humiliation? He no longer cared about his gentlemanly demeanor and retorted, "What's wrong with me? After all, I, Finn, am worth over a billion, far superior to that pretty boy by your side."
Edward, who was not far from Alex, felt a surge of anger when he heard Finn call his boss a pretty boy. He clenched his fist, ready to charge at Finn, but Mark stepped in and stopped him. Alex, who did not expect Finn to consider him a gold-digger, took a sip of his wine, a hint of mischief in his eyes, and mockingly said to Finn, "What's so bad about being a pretty boy? Even you, the chairman of some group, seem quite envious of me."
"Pretty boy, you should leave yourself some room for maneuver when you speak. If you anger me, those around you won't be able to protect you," Finn gritted his teeth, as if he wished to swallow Alex whole.
In one swift motion, Ella lifted her hand and splashed the half-glass of red wine onto Finn's face, scolding him. Calling her beloved a pretty boy was even more unbearable than being insulted herself. With eyes wide open and a cold expression, she said, "You are still a well-known entrepreneur, truly an insult to the title."
Finn did not expect Ella to act so rashly; the half-glass of red wine left him stunned, the liquid streaming down his cheeks onto his pristine white shirt. He pointed at Ella and shouted, "You... you..."
Alex's face darkened as well. He stood up, walked over to Finn, and poured the remaining half-glass of wine over his head, sneering, "Ella has already offered you a drink, let me also offer you one. Enjoy your drink, Chairman Finn."
Finn was dumbfounded by Alex's action, not moving a muscle as Alex poured the wine over his head. He stared at Alex, his face turning from pale to red, then from red to green, his mouth opening and closing several times without making a sound.
"What are you doing! What kind of occasion is this! You don't pay attention to your own identity at all!" A voice of authority rang out. The governor of G province, Reid, had just entered the banquet hall and saw a crowd gathered around Alex, thinking something had happened, he went over.
"Uncle Reid, you've arrived just in time, this person is really impolite, pestering me relentlessly," Ella, seeing it was Reid, stood up to greet him with a charming smile.
Finn, reeking of strong alcohol and with his head down, said aggrievedly, "Governor Reid, it's not all my fault, they are being unreasonable."
Reid looked at the two without speaking, walked up to Alex, and examined him, then said in a deep voice, "Young man, are you a bit too extreme in your actions?"
Alex smiled at Reid, his hands in his trouser pockets, and leisurely said, "As for me, I always know my limits. I've shown mercy in what just happened, otherwise, Chairman Finn wouldn't be standing here talking now."
Arrogant, extremely arrogant, Alex's haughty attitude shocked everyone in the banquet hall, and several people behind Reid showed anger on their faces.
Ella quickly tugged at Alex's arm, smiling as she introduced, "Alex, this is Governor Reid of your G province." She was afraid that her beloved, being young and impulsive, might offend this heavyweight figure of G province, and she kept winking at Alex.
How could Alex not understand Ella's intention? He smiled at her and said, "Governor Reid, hello, I am Alex, the chairman of Imperial Holdings."

"Who are you, I don't seem to know you," Alex interrupted Adam's words.
"I am the deputy governor of G province," Adam was almost angry, he was also a well-known figure in G province, and Alex said he didn't know him, how could he not be angry.
"Then you are not qualified to talk to me," Alex said, looking at Adam.
"Adam, you go ahead with your business, I'll have a chat with the chairman," Reid made a sign to Adam.

"Alex, Ella, come and chat with me," Reid said to Alex and Ella.
