My arms felt like they were hit by a truck.
That was going straight for my face, if I didn't block that I'd probably be unconscious.
I could hear a scream
"Leo!"
It sounded like Olly, and I could hear some footsteps running towards me.
As the dust cleared, I dropped my arms, I wasn't in a fight so there was no point in being in a stance.
The footsteps got close enough, and they were now in front of me, I could feel some arms wrap around me.
Looking down it was Ella; she had a bad look on her face.
I could hear her faint voice, like me, she rarely talked.
"I'm sorry..."
She truly seemed apologetic; it looked as though she was about to burst into tears at any moment. I guess we had gotten pretty close over the last month.
"It's fine."
I thought pretty highly of Ella too, it felt comfortable being around her. I didn't plan on thinking any different of- actually, she's fucking strong. So, I guess I do think a little differently of her now.
The next moment, one of the healers arrived.
"Please let go of him, and you, please sit down."
She had told Ella to basically get out and told me to sit. We both complied and I could feel some strange feeling around my body.
It was a similar feeling from when I first woke up. It wasn't a bad feeling at all, I could feel some of my pain leaving.
Olly and Ella were both around me while Kendel continued.
There was a lot of confusion when they suddenly saw me fly back, even if they didn't like me they did think I was strong.
"That was someone who was strong in Aura versus someone without Aura."
Kendel suddenly stated.
"Although, it wasn't an actual fight, you could see the damage if someone were to take a hit from an aura user."
Huh? Did that fucker do it on purpose? I thought while looking at him.
The students both seemed scared and impressed, they thought that if they learned to use aura efficiently, they'd be as strong as both Ella and Me.
"Tomorrow I'll teach everyone how to use Aura, and for those who already know I'll give you some pointers."
"Class will also end today; you all can take a break."
Many of the students seemed happy, particularly the commoners, this was one of the reasons they joined this school in the first place.
"You'll be fully healed tomorrow." The girl in priest-like clothing smiled while saying.
"Thanks."
Couldn't they just fully heal me now? That would be way better.
I got up and looked at Ella and Olly.
Ella looked down.
"Wow, I can't believe you took that hit." Olly spoke before asking a question
"Are you alright?"
I looked at Ella before answering.
"Never been better."
I thought about saying 'I didn't even feel it." but that felt like it'd be disrespectful, for one, it hurt like hell, and two, I'd practically be saying that she was weak.
"Should we go get lunch then?" Olly asked
I nodded my head and Olly began to lead the way; Ella stood there looking down still.
I tapped her on the shoulder, and she looked up slowly.
"Let's go eat." I didn't know it at the time, but I smiled.
Her facial expressions were mixed up for a second before she eventually smiled.
Woah... Her smile looks p-
I hadn't seen her smile since we've met, it was definitely a surprise.
---
As we all started to walk to the cafeteria, Kendel appeared in front of me.
"Kai, do you have time?"
I nodded my head.
Ella looked at him
"Teacher Kendel?" Olly asked while looking at him.
"Don't worry, I just have to talk to Kai about something. You two should carry on, it might take a while."
Eh? I was pretty hungry...
In a moment we were suddenly in an office.
I looked around and observed my surroundings instinctually. I could never get used to that suddenly appearing somewhere shmuck.
"You don't have to worry, I'm just here to express my apologies."
I tilted my head before realizing it was for what happened before.
"Take a seat."
I sat down in a comfy chair and so did he, in between us was a small coffee table.
"What type of tea do you like?"
Tea? That rich people drink? I've never had it, why'd he assume I drank tea?
"Do you not drink it? I figured a duke's son would."
Huh? Why would I drink tea just because of my family status? Whatever, I'll take the free drink.
I nodded my head.
He had a confused look on his face before suddenly snapping his fingers.
Appeared on the coffee table in front of us were 2 plates with cups on them.
"I hope this one's to your taste." Kendel had a slight smile just like he always did. I had yet to see him without that fake smile, so, I was always a little on guard whenever I saw him.
I took the cup and drank.
Kendel had a surprised look on his face.
I finished the tea fast and put the cup back down, I think water would've been better.
"Haah, you're certainly unique Kai."
Huh?
Kendel picked up his cup and drank with dignity, a completely different way than me who just downed it.
Oh, was I supposed to drink it like that?
A few seconds later he put down the cup and began to speak.
"First of all, I'd like to say I'm sorry." He bowed his head while apologizing.
I remember that Jane taught me when apologizing the respectful way was to bow your head.
I just waved my hand to basically say I was over it.
"To be honest, I was impressed."
Huh? What was he saying?
"The way you fought; it truly did impress me."
Thanks, I guess? I just fought normally?
"You don't seem to understand why I'm praising you."
I shook my head.
"Hmm, just know that at your age, I've only seen 3 other people who can fight as well as you, and only 1 without aura."
Okay? I think that's a compliment? But why was he mentioning this?
"Haah, you really look like you don't care."
Was it that obvious?
"I like that attitude, haha, anyways onto the main reason I'm here."
"I'll do anything you ask of me, once."
Huh?
