Delilah led Hunter toward the restaurant she had chosen- a small, local restaurant tucked away from the busier parts of the city. It was a place she was sure a man like Hunter had never been to before.
It wasn't fancy or glamorous, but it had character, and it reminded her of simpler times, before her world became entangled with lies and schemes.
Hunter scanned the surroundings with unease, the chipped paint on the walls of nearby buildings and the modest appearance of the restaurant set him on edge. He glanced at Delilah, hoping she was joking, but the determined look on her face told him otherwise.
"You want to eat here?" Hunter asked, raising an eyebrow as they stood in front of the restaurant's entrance.
"Yes." Delilah smiled, her tone firm but playful. "I thought it would be fun. Plus, I'm sure you've never been here before."
Hunter hesitated, his discomfort obvious. "I can afford somewhere else. Somewhere better."
