ARMAND POV
After a long day at the office, I drove straight to Eli's apartment, my mind racing with everything that had transpired. The whole situation with Whitney was becoming more complicated by the hour, and Eli needed to know the full extent of what we had done. I parked and took a deep breath before heading up to his place, my heart heavy with the weight of what I was about to explain.
When I knocked on the door, Eli opened it quickly, his usual sharp expression softening slightly when he saw me. "Armand, you look like hell," he muttered, stepping aside to let me in.
"I feel like hell," I replied, running a hand through my hair as I walked in. The familiar space of his apartment offered no comfort tonight. I dropped onto the couch, leaning forward with my elbows on my knees, trying to figure out where to begin.
Eli sat across from me, his eyes narrowing. "Alright, spill. What is going on with Whitney? Max said something about her going into hiding?"
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
