The day had finally arrived. After nearly two months of German occupation, the Kaiser of the German Reich and the Japanese Empress were finally ready to be wed. For the sake of appeasing the Japanese people, Berengar had agreed to marry Itami Riyo in the traditional Japanese method.
Thus, the bride, groom, and all of their guests had gathered at the Inari shrine just outside the city of Heian-kyō to witness the monumental occasion. Whether it was Berengar's other wives and children standing in the front row, or his parents alongside them. All of his friends and family had gathered for the event. This included several of the world's major leaders as well.
