For humans who have been exposed to the mutated Wildfire virus, this variant appears to come from a fungus that is activated with certain characteristics, the fungus attacks the brain and begins to alter the behavior of its host. The host will then go through four different stages of infection; each stage is more dangerous than the previous one.
All this was discovered in a short time by Candace and her team, of course, several test subjects were used so that there would be no mistakes in analyzing this initial infection.

These spores can quickly infect a person, making breathing difficult and slowing movement within minutes if exposed in such spore-dense areas.
This made Airon remember about that kind of particulate matter in the tunnel he passed by Alicia. If he was not smart back then and wore masks, they would have been infected in a matter of seconds.
The infection is also transmissible when an infected individual bites another individual. The infection will then spread through the new host's body, gradually turning him or her into a runner over a two-day period.
The infection will also cause the area of the bite to turn red and black and cause the host to sweat profusely and become disoriented.
It can also cause their eyes to itch and make it difficult to write. In a short time, many things were discovered that could have taken much longer than normal under other conditions.
This is because the Airon research team was familiar with the symptoms that an infected person acting like a walker or similar to them are related in a certain way.
What Candace and her husband are trying to say is that the Wildfire virus is a huge trunk and the variants that have emerged so far are roots, if they ever find a weapon strong enough to uproot that tree, the roots will dry up.

And now, that everyone had met him, they felt that those stories told about him were real. No one in the great hall underestimates Airon's decisions, in fact, everyone is aware of the missions he makes long before they are completed.
Unlike any other leader, Airon is a leader who is always on the front lines of battle and is not afraid to get hurt. Many of the survivors he saves enjoy things and the new lifestyle more than even Airon who is the one who made it all possible.
It is for that reason that everyone respected him, it is estimated that if any person wanted to go against him he would be killed long before he started his plans.

The presenter this time had been explaining the new variants of the virus and all the dangers they have to be prepared for. Once he finished his explanation, he looked at the commander and then said, "Now then, let me give the floor to our commander, who since the beginning of all this has been fighting so that we can all have some hope in this world devastated by the undead."
"Our commander Airon has the floor!"
When this was announced, all the top brass applauded and after a few seconds they waited for the speech to be given by the man with the most authority within the S.C.T.
Airon, who had been seated until now, walked to the stage to proceed to give his presentation. He had thought beforehand about what he wanted to say, but in the end he chose the most important thing, which was the future that awaited them all.
After approaching the microphone, Airon looked at the dozens of people sitting in the numerous seats in the auditorium and said, "You should all know me, so I won't take up too much of your time in a meaningless presentation."
Airon's first words surprised everyone, after all no one would mind a man like him holding up everyone's time.
"The mission to take back Birmingham has been a success, I still have doubts whether we were lucky to take that city or unlucky to discover a new type of virus."
Airon smiled as he heard some laughter from the crowd, then waited for the screen behind him to change and once the entire map of the United States was displayed, he started with the next step of his presentation.
"Our real goal is to take all of Alabama and seal off the land around it. Once we accomplish that objective which must be done as soon as possible, we will be clear of walkers from Georgia and we could begin to take Florida."
"The military bases and the possibilities of us finding many things we need are endless, so everyone should think about what we will gain. I'm sure it's a great idea for us to work on, considering those organizations outside of our understanding."
When Airon came to this explanation, he adjusted his voice and said, "I'm sure that if we were to encounter the CRM, they would ask us to merge with them in some way. After all, confronting us would be a tough war that they won't be able to face."
"But we don't share their goals, we have our own and no one will lead us down a new path. Today we have had a great victory, since I founded this organization I have suffered nothing but victory after victory."
"Let's follow our path and eliminate those who do not want to be saved, we would like to be the good guys in this story but we must never be afraid to be the bad guys just to fulfill our goals!"
"We are the S.C.T.!"
