Olivia got ready for the dinner as she wore a very chic black dress she knew she had to overdress in order to impress Josephine's parents so the black dress they exposed her arms and legs was perfect for the occasion.
She looked at the mirror feeling satisfied as she walked down the stairs to check up on her parents.
They all looked posh except for her dad who insisted on losing the tie. Her mom tried persuading him but that only seemed to make him hate the tie even more.
She looked at Olivia in defeat as they all made their way to the car. As her mom drove her dad gave her the 'We'll talk later' look.
It took them fifteen minutes to drive to Dave's house but those fifteen minutes seemed like they lasted for enterity for Olivia who felt uncomfortable in her seat.
She ran as she saw Dave coming ceasing the opportunity to escape the not so comfortable atmosphere in the car.
She crossed her arm around his as she pulled him closer asking for Mike. He ignored the question and instead complimented her.
"You look great"
"Thank you, where's Mike?" she asked again. Dave stopped smiling as he looked at the fast approaching Josephine aka Mike.
"How do people walk in these, I bet the mad man who created these was only looking for ways to torture women" he said as he looked at the heels with disgust.
"And yet women wear it" Dave said as Mike nodded slowly.
They walked inside quietly as they noticed Dave's dad who was looking at them closely.
Mike looked at Dave probably asking for instructions but Dave just nodded slightly telling him to 'Act natural'.

Dinner was not as bad as she thought because nearly everyone avoided talking to her, they only seemed to talk to Dave and Josephine maybe because they were the host.
"So, Dave has told me all about you" Dave's dad said as he looked at Olivia.
"He has?" she asked looking at Dave who seemed to be admiring his shoes.
"Yes, he mentioned how you are invisible to everyone and how only he could see you" he said looking at Dave who still avoided their gaze.
"Well yes hmm I guess he means how it was hard for me to adjust, he's been doing a very good job helping me fit in, I don't feel invisible anymore" she said silently.
"That's good to hear" he said quickly.
Besides the question that nearly blew her cover, dinner was a big success, thankfully Mike just nodded from time to time knowing that if he said the wrong thing they would question him.

AFTER DINNER:
Olivia's parents thanked them as they walked away Olivia whispered to Mike;
"I think I'll need your service, my mom's getting quite suspicious and I don't think she believe me when I say she's at her friends house"
"Anytime you need me I'll be at your service" he said quietly.

On their way back home Olivia's mom kept lecturing her dad on how to knot a perfect tie.
"So what do you think, tie or no tie?" she asked Olivia who looked at her dad smiling.
"No tie, it's not so bad" Olivia said defending her dad who seemed to be on top of the world after winning an argument.
