Chương 30: Chapter 29: A foolish mistake (II)

Olivia looked at Dave who she had just seen in the principal's office about five minutes ago.

"How did you get here so quickly, did the principal...

"Principal? he's here? oh I didn't notice" he said as he looked on to the horizon.

"But you were right there in the principal's office you know with Josaphine and ...

"They're here, Where are they? are you joking" he said nearly squeezing her hand. From the way he reacted Olivia deduced something was off. She looked at Dave who wore a plain blue shirt different from the colour she had seen in the principal's office.

'Are my eyes decieving me? is there really another Dave? How?'

Before Dave could say anything they noticed everyone had gone to class, of course.

They both walked to the opposite direction hoping they were not too late.

Class started and thankfully My Sydney didn't seem to notice Olivia who had just slid into the nearly full classroom.

Olivia was happy that it was Mr Sydney's class because the man never noticed anything except for two things of course,the board and the marker other than that he always seemed to be in his own world when teaching.

Olivia looked behind as she noticed nearly all her classmates were sleeping. Typical.

She opened her textbooks trying her best to concentrate on the topic the man was teaching but anytime she seemed to concentrate she'd remember Olivia and Robert.

'How did they know I had braces even dad doesn't know yet' Olivia asked herself and almost immediately she heard a familiar voice.

"Are you going to solve this Miss Olivia" the teacher asked. Of course, how could she forget, the only reason everyone hated him was because he'd always ask his students to solve the most bizarre questions.

Olivia never almost gets the answer correct but this time she did. Mr Sydney stood still probably shocked that she was actually correct.

"Detention" he yelled and almost immediately the sleeping students were suddenly awake.

"But I already have detention" Olivia said in defence.

"Well double detention then" he yelled closing his textbook.

'Awesome! Double Detention and I didn't even do anything, I think I'm starting to consider becoming a school drop out, truancy isn't so bad, is it?' she asked herself quietly as she walked to her chair.

The whole class seemed to look at her and as if they knew it was they're cue to be annoying they yelled in unison " Nerd".

How could Olivia forget, she loved books, loved everything but there was two things she hated idiots and imbeciles. She had nearly finished studying her dictionary but they was one word she dare not search for, Nerd. It was outrageous but a little true.

She looked at Josaphine who gave her a smug look in return, looked at her now least favorite teacher and sighed. It seemed like everyone wanted her to get detention, well at least she now had something to do after school.

After so many periods:

She met Dave by the hallway and tried explaining things to him. She recalled Josaphine's evil look and the evil teacher who didn't seem to like her getting the right answer. Dave nodded slightly and looked at Dave seeming less interested.

Olivia seemed to notice the look but before she could react she noticed a hand on Dave's shoulder. In a minute Dave was on the floor and the next he had already fainted.

"Why would you .... Dave?" she said looking confused.
