Away from the guild house on the west side, I stood in front of a 7 story luxurious inn. This place that gave off the "rich folks only" vibe would've been impossible for me to enter had I not discovered my aptitude for business.
I waited outside for 30 minutes before going in. A large reception room welcomed me, knock-off gold ornaments with a thunderbolt carved on them adorned the place. Couches and short tables spread wide in the room for the many people coming by. At the center of the reception was an intricate waterfall, and the front desk.
I walked up to the staff at the desk. "Excuse me, I would like a room on the 6th floor," I said.
"Of course. Can I get your name?" One of the staff asked.
"It's Oscar Wilburn. Here is my identification. Please make it room 607."
"Um... Yes, sir. Of course," the man replied.
The employee looked hesitant but gave me the room. The other receptionist promptly hit a bell placed on the desk. A man wearing red ran up to me and took my luggage away. Heh, the service in big places sure keeps evolving.
I rechecked the time and took the elevator to the sixth floor. A familiar girl stood right next to room 607, pulling the door to her own room open.
"Is that you, Miss Nea?" I called out.
"Hm?.. Oh! Ivan?"
"My, what a pleasant surprise this is! I didn't think I'll get to see you again"
"Me neither. How did you get here, though?" She asked back, her voice tinged with suspicion. Hah! Didn't you completely ghost me? And now you think I can't afford this place? I'll live right next to you then!
"I guess my business hit off, haha," I said. "You look tired, Miss. I'll get out of your hair for now."
I left a baffled Nea behind and entered my room. Just like the rest of the inn, the room was luxurious. An enormous bed under a spongy mattress, next to which stood an enormous closet. Atop a lofty table was a radio tuned in to some music channels. There was even a small refrigerator on the side filled with drinks and refreshments.
I wanted Nea to develop an interest in me. They say meeting thrice means fate connects you. Thanks to the wooden plank I had taken from the store, Nea would meet me more than just twice.

Morning, Nea Alba takes her breakfast at the inn she is staying in. She leaves her room between 6:43 AM and 6:47 AM. Naturally, Oscar Wilburn too leaves for breakfast in the same time frame.
The first floor of this inn was a restaurant. They should come up with a new term already. This ain't no inn no more!
Sitting alone on a table near the windows was a rose-like girl. Painted in the crimson light of the rising sun, slightly dampened by the dark clouds. She looked my way and gave me a slight wave; she is still vigilant.
"Good morning, miss. We seem to have a lovely day today," I said.
"Morning, Ivan. It's dark but is rather beautiful. Also, just call me Nea"
"Alright then, Nea"
"This is a splendid hotel, right?" Nea asked after a brief silence.
Hotel? So they DID come up with a new term?! Why wasn't I informed?
"Sure is! Can I join you for breakfast, Nea?"
"Feel free to pay!" she exclaimed. Damn bitch. I sat down across from her, with the corners of my mouth twitching. I'll pay, I'll pay. 'Tis a bargain.
We made some small talk about the city, while a server came over and took our orders.
Did I call her a rose-like girl, by any chance? She's a damn demon! The table was overjoyed to put every nook and cranny of itself in use and my wallet wallowed in its emptiness!
The demon made a bright smile and looked my way, as if asking for permission. I gave a slight smile and nodded my head, after which she dove right into the truckload of food. I calmly watched her while resting my chin on my hand.
Nea Alba. Weakness: Food. I could sell this info for a decent amount to the stores.
Nea finished her food in less than an hour. She placed her plates on the side and wiped her face with a cloth. She then looked at me and made a knowing smile. "So, Ivan, what are your plans for today?" She asked.
Wait, wait, wait, are we just gonna ignore all your amazing antics right now? What's with that gaze? It's like she is telling me her behavior was the most natural thing in the world! With no choice of complaining, I beamed back at her.
"I'll be looking around," I mumbled.
"Perfect. Join me for a date, then."
Hm? hm?
"Hm? hm?"
"Haha, what's with that face? I said a date, today."
HMMMMMMMMMMM??!!!
"Hahaha... haha... What?"
"I'll take that as your consent. Meet me at the reception at 10, kay?" said the demon as she left the restaurant.
Hm? What's that deafening sound, you ask? Ah, it's just the sound of my entire plan falling apart, don't mind me, hahaha...
