Alfred Smith didn't speak but, in front of Steve Burton, took out his phone and called his beloved wife, Emily Gregory: "Sophia? Where are you? I'm coming to pick you up. Yeah, I was supposed to have a work conversation today, but the person I was meeting, he's off chasing his wife a thousand miles away..."

Steve Burton, striding to the door, heard Alfred Smith say this behind him, yanked the door handle hard, and cursed silently: So cheap!
