Chương 1: Prologue; Accident that change everything

Disclaimer:

I think those who skipped the Synopsis should know this.

First of all, There's isn't much plot in this story, some things will happen, so will they happen, don't ask how.

I don't want to make things complicated, when the whole plot is around ecchi girls.

Next, Sora will act Naive and foolish. In his last life He was a child in a teenager body, and didn't know about the world. He will act all excited, and happy. But he will Mature as the story goes.

Yes, this Fan-fiction is filled with Rainbow and butterflies but there would be some thornes in the way.

So expect the unexpect...hehe :3

[??? POV]

Who am I? What am I? I don't know, and it hardly matters for now.

Currently In front of me is a series of texts.

This dream is weird.

Everything is dark, except for the illuminating glow of a screen before me.

Is this some kind of game? I wonder.

[Please answer this survey]

Survey, huh? More like a twisted questionnaire from a bored god with a twisted sense of humour.

'What name would you like on your tombstone?' might be more fitting.

Anyways, these questions are peculiar questions that intrigue me. What kind of sick fantasy dream I'm in?

But I decided to comply; after all, these questions seem to calling me.

[What name would you like to have in a fictional world?]

Name? What I want…Hmmm. I don't want to be too edgy, nor too simple.

{Name: Sora}

As soon as the name came into my mind, a letter appeared before me, displaying my name? It's magical. And the next text came.

[*Interesting choice. We hope you don't get lost in the sky.]

[What appearance would you like to have in another world?]

Ugg… I thought for a long time, but nothing came to my mind. I wish there were any option for Randomiser, being a hardcore gamer I want a random appearance.(Self Proclaimed)

"Meh, how bad could it be?" but the looks should be above average considering I'm good looking, or handsome at the least.

{Additional Option: Randomiser [Level +9]}

Ohhh, Nice, I don't know what [Level +9] is, it should be good right?

[If you were given the chance to live in another world, what trait would you like to have? (Note: You cannot choose more than one.)]

Should I choose a 'strong body' or something Overpowered like? I feel I want that, but a trait, it can be personality too, isn't that also a trait? If considering it as a game review. But it's a waste if I choose a personality.

Yes this will do it.

[Trait: Evolver]

Hehe, I wanted something like that, hoping to morph into a legendary warrior from one of the games.

[If you were given the chance to live in another world, what skill would you like to have?]

It should be obvious.

[Skill: Adaptation(Passive)]

I can easily adapt, and then I won't have to worry about getting…

I continued to give the remaining answers.

[Would you like to retain your memory, or start from basic]

I can't remember, but I want them.

[Keep memory]

[What kind of background do you want?]

I don't know, I feel confused about that, should I say [Normal] but with loving family? more than that, freedom. Yes, I want that.

{Normal: Love & Freedom}

Ohh, good.

[What kind of rating will you give to this survey?]

Hmm… 4/5 ★?

[★★★★]

Just as I thought, if that's all, a new series of text materialises before me.

[You Died]

[We wish you luck in your next life]

[As a parting gift, we would like to give an additional gift]

[You have gained additional trait [True Singularity]]

Wait wha…. Ehhhhhhhhh!!!? Whaaaaaaat?

A ringtone echoes, drawing the attention of the man engrossed in work. He glances at his phone, a tired smile pulling at his lips.

It was late, who could be calling?

"Oh, who is calling there?" He wondered with a tired sigh.

"..."

"Hello~" he asked again, his voice warm and welcoming.

"...haaa" The smile froze on his face as a ragged gasp filled the receiver. He frowned, concern replacing the earlier cheer.

"ahhrgg…" someone grunted, the voice seems to be in pain.

"Hey?, what the-'' he was about to ask, but is abruptly cut off.

"Ugh...Saibai..." rasped the voice, weak and strained.

"I...don't have much time." hearing this, Saibai's grip tightened on the phone.

"Huh? Kai, what do you mean? Is this some kind of joke?" His voice, though trying to stay light, trembled with a rising fear.

"No, listen, Please, listen, *cough*" Kai wheezed, a cough racking his body.

"It's...there was an accident...my wife...badly hurt..." Each word was a struggle, punctuated by gasps and pained groans.

"What… happened?" The blood drained from Saibai's face, he panicked, the painful sounds were obvious.

"LISTEN," but then he heard the kai desperately shouting, making him pause.

"You are my friend, cough someone I know from my school years. It was my carelessness, somehow. I got into an accident, my wife is seriously injured, cough and I don't feel I have much time left either."

"Hey! Hey! Hey!!!? What are you on about? Tell me, you will be alright?" Saibai shouted, he stood from his seat.

"I wish I could, but if something happened to me or my wife… Please take care of my child."

"Don't talk like that! Idiot" Saibai barked, a desperate edge to his voice. "Help might be coming, hold on!"

"Saibai," Kai's voice, a whisper now, held a world of regret and sorrow.

"I hope you complete your friend's last wish," From the other a calm voice came.

"Saibai, I… wanted our children… together, when Rumi said that your wife gave birth we were excited… we wanted our family… together… as a friend, like our parents did." he heard some sobbing from his friend, as his voice trembled to utter every word.

"We will, man. Don't talk, take a deep breath," Saibai murmurs, struggling to maintain composure.

"I… we wanted to settle in Japan soon, like old times." Kai' voice slowly drifted away.

"We will do that, but just stop talking and take deep breaths, wait for the ambulance."

"Our children, playing together with each other."

"They will." he tried to reassure, but those words began to feel hollow without any reassurance.

"And you and I are enjoying our parenthood."

"Yeah, we will, together as a family, just don't give up." even so, Saibai pleaded.

"I wish I was there for my child."

"You will be," Saibai lied, his voice thick. He knew the truth, cold and bitter.

"I don't want him to be left alone." Kai's voice was barely a whisper now.

"The don't."

"Can… you…cough ple..ase… pro..mise to… give him… a fulfilling childhood? Cough..." His friend's sobbing voice reaches Saibai, who feels his friend slipping away.

"I will, why aren't you including yourself? Believe in yourself, man."

"..." No response.

"Hey? Kai? Are you there?" Saibai asks, a pang in his heart, never expecting such a day would change everything.

"..." He didn't hear his friend's voice anymore, just something akin to burning.

"I will… take care of him." saibai murmured, He glanced at a framed picture on his desk — a picture of happier times.

"Take care of yourself, Kai."

[Location: ???]

Inside an emergency room of a hospital, the doctors whisper something to each other.

And then, a nurse handed the baby to a man with tears in his eyes as he cradled the infant in his hands.

"Yūki-san, right?" She asked, and the man just nodded in his response.

"Unfortunately, I have to be honest with you. Despite our best efforts, we couldn't save both of them. When the ambulance arrived, her husband was hanging onto life, and she was in critical condition. We did everything we could, but we had to prioritise, and the only life we could salvage was the baby's," She explained, as the man simply nodded.

"We checked their history, and discovered they didn't have any close relatives. We checked their friend's contacts, and tried to reach them, since others were unresponsive until you called us, leaving us with limited options."

"The child can go to an orphanage, or you can choose to adopt him." She went on to explain the available choices, The nurse provided details about the procedures, for the future of the baby.

After discussing the options, they completed some paperwork.

"Please ensure you bring the child in for regular medical checkups. Well then, I need to go." After finishing everything up. she left the man alone, surrounded by the weight of the unexpected responsibility and trust upon him.

With each heavy step, his golden hair fell across his tear-streaked face, obscuring the pain etched there.

The man walked slowly, along the unfamiliar path, his destiny unknown, and steps heavy. His breathing rugged, his etched with full of pain.

In his arms is a baby that was wrapped in a blanket, it seems to be a newborn, sleeping soundly.

Tak Tak

The sound of footsteps echoed.

After walking for a considerable distance, he halted, before the house's entrance, his mind filled with countless questions.

'I promised him, I can't let the baby grow in the orphanage.' He remembered the last call, Kai's voice raspy with fear, entrusting him with a life he couldn't bear to abandon. "He's all they have left," Kai had whispered, "promise me you'll give him a family." The voice echoed in his head.

Reaching the doorstep, he hesitated, his hand trembling as he touched the door knob. He took a deep breath, slowly opening.

"Welcome back, dear." From inside a voice came, she seemed happy, slowly peeking her head out from the room, she checked her husband with a smile.

Yet, as she saw his expression, Her smile faltered as she saw his haunted eyes like a broken man, who lost something very important from him.

Before she could ask, he stumbled inside, the baby nestled in his protectively embrace against his chest.

She quickly dashed out from the room, worrying for her husband. She saw a baby in his arms but didn't question.

"Come inside." Instead of asking what happened, she led him inside.

"Sit there, I will bring you some water." Saying this she left, her mind in turmoil, what happened? He is not like this usually, he is a cheerful and energetic man. But the expression she saw today, it was breaking her apart.

Hurrying with the glass of water, she entered the living room, finding her husband seated with eyes devoid of colour, fixated on the child in his arms.

He appeared defeated.

"Take this, drink some water." she said, handing him the glass. As he sipped the water, she quickly prepared the tea she had made earlier, waiting for his return.

"Tea?" she offered, and as he sipped the water, he accepted the tea, taking a deliberate sip in an effort to calm himself.

For a few minutes, they sat in silence, waiting to find the words to speak to each other.

That woman had orange hair and warm yellow eyes, waiting for her husband's response…

...

"What happened?" Breaking the silence the woman asked, she couldn't bear this silence any longer.

The man look at her, he saw her reassuring expression with small smiles. She looks afraid yet brave.

"You… know… one of my best…friends from my work, Ringo?" he whispered, each word carrying the weight of sorrow, breaking him from inside.

Seeing him like this, Ringo gently reached for his hand, her touch a comforting, her fingers tenderly rubbed against his, nodding in response.

"He… got into an accident… with his pregnant wife."

"They manage to save the baby. Unfortunately, he and his wife passed away, leaving the child alone, and he doesn't seem to have any relatives either."

"What... should I do?" His voice trembled, feeling saddened, as he looked at his wife.

"I didn't want to leave him behind. This baby is the living proof of their love. How could I possibly leave him behind?"

He was one of his closest friends, who encouraged him to follow his dream, helping him if he needed any money or any kind of help.

"We give him what his father wanted, Saibai," she said, her voice firm despite the tremor in her heart. "A family." A sad smile on her lips, looking at the baby.

She saw glimpse of her husband's friend and his wife, they were also close friends, and one of the helpers.

She reminisced her friend, who was also pregnant and excited to give birth.

"Rito is the same age, right?" she continued, referring to their newborn son. "They can grow up together, as brother and family."

"I want her to rest peacefully, even in the afterlife, knowing her baby is cherished ," she uttered.

"Yeah…" he muttered, his voice barely audible.

A/N; Here we go again, starting of new Fan-fiction. I hope I won't drop this. Also sorry' in advance, but like my other Fan-fiction, I won't publish daily, it may be in 7-10 days.

Monthly 4/Chapter minimum. I will increase as time passes, when I get free.

And yes, while writing this, I questioned my sanity multiple times, why I'm writing this? What I'm getting from this? So expect the worst in the chapter.
