Chương 4: Legacy
As of in records, Valhard was a heroic figure. During the great wars, Valhard came in the eyes of the people because of his abnormal but superb magic skills. And now that heroic figure, as an old spirit was here in the library!!!
Valhard waved his hand. And in a flash, the background changed !
Previously, when I was pulled to his space, I was in the sky, standing on a cloud. But now, due to his magic the surroundings have completely changed into a interior of house.
Valhard sat down on a chair and told me sat on the opposite chair. I bowed as courtesy, and sat. He again waved his hand, and a teapot and cups appeared out of nowhere. He brewed some weird looking beans and ask me to taste them. I swallowed slowly. The taste was different from coffee and tea. It had quite sweet and refreshing taste.
"It is really good. It sends away all build up fatigue away."
Valhard after listening my reaction was a bit prideful. Then he asked
"So, you are my descendant. What is your name?"
"My name is Eric Valhard."
"Ho ho !! So you have been using my name as a identity. Don't you feel embarrassed saying it in front of me??"
It's true that i am embarrassed. But seeing this mocking face of old man for some reason makes me angry. Controlling my anger, I asked
"So, why you bought me here, Old man Valhard?"
"The main reason why I stayed here was to pass my legacy."
What?? Legacy!! Looks like I have hitted jackpot. Hiding my greediness I asked
"So, great ancestor what is your legacy?"
"You brat. Now you change your attitude to 180 degrees."
"No it's not true. It's just that I failed to notice your godly aura that resonates with universe."
"Stop it. Flattery won't take you anywhere. Now take my skills."
Valhard handed me a box. I opened it. It contained two skill orbs* and a ring having dragon carved on it. Now, that old man started explaining me.
"These skill orbs are very useful skills. I will teach you what they are.
The first one is Mana* infinity. As the skill describes it will give infinite mana. You can cast any spells even if they are of legendary tier.
And the second one is Appraisal. It will help you in identifying anything in detail. You can find anything whereabouts of anything if you use Appraisal. Now try to use Appraisal on the ring."
"Appraisal!!"
All the information about the ring suddenly appeared in front of me.

Valhard explained about the ring to me in more detail. He told me that this ring contains a space which is very mysterious. Even he couldn't comprehend the whole space. And because of its ability to stop time flow, you can train as much you want. And for me he also have stored some grimoires and skills which maybe useful in future. Finally after explaining everything thing to me he said
"Now drop a bit blood on the ring and you will be acknowledged as its owner."
I did as he said. Now he told the me to activate the ring.
"Open!!"
I was transported inside the ring. I was inside a room with four doors. In the room there were many books. Suddenly Valhard also appeared. He said
"Now, my last wish was to train somebody and make him the best magician of the world. And you will fulfill my wish. So, now follow my way to become a hero."
"Sorry, but no!!"
"Why? Don't you want to be strongest?"
"I just want to live an ordinary life. What would being strongest will help me in it?"
Now, he told me that if I will strongest then I can live ordinary life more properly. I gave it some because I haven't experienced ordinary life. I eventually agreed. But for some reason I felt that I was tricked.
After agreeing he told me to sit down. And he started teaching me. And thus here started my struggle of learning magic. Because of ring's property time was not a problem. That old taught me about every magic and trained me to extremes. And at last I completed my training. I completely mastered all types of magic. My status changed completely. When I opened my status my level was 100. And all my status were off the charts. The old man was satisfied. He told me that this much enough and the rest to learn myself. And I bidded farewell to old man. And the old man ascended. I was a bit sad but it's okay. Then I commanded the ring
"open!!"
Suddenly I found my self in the library. And the book was in my hands. I kept it on shelf and thanked the librarian. Now I have mastered everything in this world, so it's time to go in my lazy daily life. That's what I thought when I arrived at home but It looks like I have one more obstacle. And that is to attend the magic academy!!!
*mana- basic entity that is used to perform magic
*skill orb- a orb that contains a skill which can be passed down once
