21.42% To Be A King's King (BL) / Chapter 3: To Be Saved

Chương 3: To Be Saved

The entire room was silent. The lords, ladies, kings, and queens who were blaring their minds at the bidding kept their mouths shut, wanting to live another day.

Regal sighed after seeing their cowardice. He was not surprised by how many people showed interest for Joseph, but he was disappointed by how much they desired him for their own selfish needs. They didn't want him to sit beside them while they rule, they just wanted him as a trophy— a status symbol.

"One trillion gold," Regal chuckled, pointing his sword at a plump man with a dark red vest on. "Coming from the king of Amethistus. Your people are hungry, yet you're here spending money that could feed them in several lifetimes. How dare you?"

"One trillion and one hundred million," Regal moved his sword to point at another man, this time he pointed at the man with a dark green suit. "From the lord of Candlestone. Your people ate each other in hunger, yet you're here."

"And finally, the worst man of all," Regal disappeared in a flash. Everyone panicked when he vanished, then screamed when he appeared in front of a tall dark skinned man. "King Tullet of Firsttown. You said you could only kept the capital, and let your regions be annihilated by Hysteria. Less than a quarter of your people is left, and you're here, not even trying to recover from that."

"The host said that this event had shields in place. It took them six months to build the shield! How did you get inside?" King Tullet asked in pacnic. The woman nudged his shoulder, pointing at the woman standing in front of the exits. "Olivia Everburn? The greatest mage of all!"

"I would have a harder time if they just placed reinforced iron gates," Olivia chuckled. "Magic is me, I am magic."

She waved her hand, causing bright blue sparks to flow from her fingers and into the air. The woman closed her arms and then spread them open, causing the sparks to burst throughout the room.

Regal grinned and stepped back, letting the people duck and cover themselves as the sparks swallow everyone. When they came to be, it was a different view.

The previously dimly-lit auction room was now replaced with a beautiful fields as far as the eyes can see. The green grass danced as the wind blew, delivering the scent of flowers to their noses. The aristocrats felt a moment of calmness before Regal appeared.

"What do you want from us?!" King Tullet yelled. He was the most influential person in the crowd, which made him think that he had the highest authority. "You're nothing but a king who gained some power. You identify as a Hero King, but you're actually neither—"

A faint sound of water flowing erupted from Regal's sword. The ribbons on his sword spun, wrapping themselves on the blade as the man raised it on his side. With a grin on his face and a graceful swing of his arm, a powerful burst of dark red energy exploded from the sword, firing a crescent-shaped energy at a mountain which sliced in in half.

Realizing that the man was more powerful than all of their heroes combined, the aristocrats were silenced. The man just cut an entire mountain like butter. He could slice any one of them into pieces with ease.

But it was the strongest way to show authority and command respect. Power cannor be rivaled by anything on earth. Not knowledge, not skill, not experience. Power is power. If a powerful man was defeated by a weaker, but more experienced man, then he lacked power.

In nothing but pure dominant power among all, nothing can surpass you. That was what Regal showed them. It was to establish how there was nothing that could make him falter and change his decision. He was the highest authority.

"I couldn't build Levinshire if not for my power," Regal said, eyes bloodshot angry. "If you dare question that, you shall answer to my sword."

Olivia only smirked as the aristocrats felt the threat deeper tha what Regal intended. It showed how they were nothing without their blood. They have no actual power.

Regal placed his sword on his scabbard. His eyes left the crowd and turned to see the boy, shocked to see him gone. The chair that he was strapped on was the only thing that was left.

"Olivia!" Regal yelled. "Where is he?"

Olivia was in the same state of confusion. "I don't..."

She paused, face showing a dawning realization. "I just found out that he wasn't with us when we teleported."

"Do not drink too fast."

On a dark hallway of the building where the auction took place, a thin man leaned over as he kneeled in front of a barely conscious boy. His hand cupped a wooden cup of water where the drank, almost swallowing the entire cup by how thirsty he was.

"I have bread here," Shaw offered. His hand traveled to his back where he found his pouch. He cupped the bread, but then froze when a cold pair of hands touched over his. The man hesitantly looked back, seeing Tony hold onto him.

"What..." Shaw stepped back, pulling Joseph closer to him. "Why are you still alive."

Tony was already bathing in his blood. His head was long gone, but his body still moved. When Shaw took a glimpse of Tony, he saw the man grinning as he stared at him.

"What the hell?!" Shaw yelled. He carried Joseph and ran towards the auction hall. He was confused where the crowd went. "Where is everyone? What is happening?"

"Give me the boy, Shaw!" Tony yelled from the hallway. His body sprinted towards them, making Shaw run toward the exit. When he was close, he immediately realized that iron thorns blocked the doors. He was trapped.

"What happened to you, Tony?" Shaw asked. "You're already dead!"

"I don't know, but I feel good. I feel happy. I feel..." Shaw was silent for a few seconds before he screamed. "I feel like that Omega's is mine to breed!"

The body took a step closer, leaving no choice for Shaw. He placed Joseph on the ground, smiling before he took out his knife. "Tony, you're dead already. Leave the boy alone."

"You desire him too, Shaw," Tony chuckled. Shaw noticed how his voice was louder. When he looked behind the body, he wanted to vomit when the head grew a pair of tentacle-like appendages that it used to walk. "I can share him with you, you know. Just let me get the first taste."

"I cannot allow such perversion to come to the boy," Shaw grit his teeth. "I am done being the weak one. I have to step—"

He was stopped in his words. A mace slammed into his body, crushing his torso. His eyes were wide in shock and fear. It didn't take long for Tony to materialize his weapon.

"This must be the Mondolov Blood," Tony said. "The vampires' blood can do so much more than turning water into anything."

Joseph trembled in fear, seeing what just unfolded in front of him. The heroic act of Shaw was shattered by Tony in just a blink of an eye. He wanted to fight, but he was still too weak. The only energy that he gained was barely enough for him to crawl away.

"Now, time for me to enjoy my prize." Tony stepped closer. He dropped his mace and picked his head up, reattaching it to his body and healed the wounds shut. "I've been waiting for you."

One more step closer, and Tony's entire body exploded. The blood turned into bubbles before it could splatter, making a familiar man chuckle.

Regal appeared in front of Joseph. The boy looked up to see the Hero King, his entire being seemed like it was glowing.

"Are you okay, my love?"
