Ryan made his way towards what he think is the edge of the forest. After few hours traveling it became obvious that the trees are becoming less but at the same time its becoming more green.
With every step Ryan took he was slowly getting enveloped by the thick air with the aroma of tropical blooms. The sound of rustling leaves and branches fills his ears, which cause hin to raise his guard. Instead of having trees that can reach the sky, now there trees that barely 50ft high.
After walking out the forest, the dense foliage creates a sense of seclusion and isolation. It was as if he had stepped into a different world entirely.
The trees and vines seem alive with movement, with every step he took. The sunlight filters through the leaves, casting dappled patterns on the floor. The light is constantly shifting, as the wind blows and the shadows dance along with it.
As Ryan moved deeper in, the occasional roar of distant animals echoes through the trees, adding a sense of mystery and danger to the atmosphere.
Compared to the forest there were a way more diverse of plant life. The ground is covered in a thick layer of moss and ferns, creating a soft, spongy surface beneath his feet. His shoes went bad a long time ago, he been barefoot the entire time.
Ryan continue to explore and he came across a clearing where, there sounds of a nearby stream or river ahead. Ryan slowly made his way over and see a beast drinking in the distance.
The beast haven't noticed Ryan as it walked back out the clearing. Ryan made his way to the stream but before he made it to the stream he hear a beast roar. But this sounds like a roar of pain and it came from where that beast left.
Feeling curious of what was happening, for it to still be roaring. Ryan made his way over and he was shocked to see what was killing the beast. He is pretty sure he walked pass it too.
It was a plant wrapping its vine around the beast and pulling it closer to this weird yellow plant. Ryan can tell the plant must be releasing something into it, from how the vine look and the way the beast sounds like, as if its in the process of getting tortured.
Ryan realize how dangerous this place is. He is not sure if he should call it a forest from how little trees is around, its more like a garden than anything.
Ryan stop being curious and continue trying to make his way out of this place. He is not as worried as you would think since it seems like the plants have no interest in him. He had already walked past them on his way in here, plus he think It may have something to do with how much mana it have for it to attack. Ryan mana core can't be sense so they shouldn't attack something with no mana.
Ryan continued to walk in one direction and noticed mana rich plants and fruits. He didn't pay any real attention to any of them in case its a trap, which he feels like the odds is high.
He been traveling for 3 days now and he finally made it out the garden like area. It was pretty uneventful, he didn't run into many beast and if he did run into them he just killed them. If ryan didn't pick up the corpse the plants will slowly consume them, which made Ryan feel incredibly uncomfortable.
(Im so glad that the journey through that place was easy, but I have a feeling not many people could do what I just did.)
Ryan looked around finally feeling free, a big weight off his shoulders. He never would of thought he will make it out alive.
(I wonder if any one will believe me if I tell them everything that happened. Hahaha, i already know they will think I'm exaggerating, definitely Daymon.)
Tears start falling down his face as his thoughts was coming out.
"I did something yall will be proud of, I didn't give up. Even though I had miss yall everyday, every moment of free time I had but I didn't let that stop me. I was even scared, afraid, and deep down I didn't want to have to fight my way out. I thought about just staying safe until a random person come across me."
Ryan laughed and cried, making it impossible to tell if he happy or sad.
" I was suffering the whole time, I felt like I was on the verge of breaking down consently. I did my best to push any negative thoughts I had, just to be able to make it through the day. And now here I am but why, why, don't I feel happy."
Ryan sat down with his head lower.
"Am I just scared, to scared to find out when I get home I have no family to go back to. What if they think I died already and left the city. What if I can't make it back for years and they forget about me. What if they blame me for leaving and teleporting away when they need me the most."
A puddle was already forming a river as it traveled from underneath Ryan.
(Please don't blame me for leaving, please be there when I make it back. I don't want to be alone anymore.)
Ryan crawl up in a ball and laid there until he fell asleep.
"Today everyone will get caterpillars to take care of. They will turn into butterflies." The teacher said in an enthusiastic tone to the students.
(Hum, what is she talking about.)
Ryan spent the rest of the dream learning about butterflies and getting his mind off his mental state.
Not many 15 years old can go through what he went through an come out find. Definitely when he never fixes none of his issues he just pushes it out his mind and ignore them.
Just like what he doing with Midnight, he intentionally not trying to think about him.
Everyone have a limit, you can't always suppress your true feelings about things. Sometimes you have to let them out.
Ryan woke up feeling slightly better.
(I guess the only thing I can do is pick a random direction and walk.)
