Chương 26: Beam Saber

Luke didn't have to wait for a long time, because precisely at 3 p.m, a middle-aged man slowly ascending the arena. Passing by hundreds of students who were looking at him admirably, the man didn't flinch the slightest and walking with full of calmness.

With his blue hair stood erect and sharp yellow eye, the man was quite handsome despite the faint wrinkles around his eyebags. Added with his muscular build, many young girls start blushing unconsciously. Seeing the girls crowd attracted to the teacher figure, many men start puffing their chest out.

'How can they lose with a middle-aged man? Our pride would never allow it.' Many men thought in unison.

Amon didn't join the competition but laughed so hard, "Those students were acting like a peacock attract mates, but instead of a peacock, I only saw a bunch of hopeless and loveless pigeon. Not only were they not as attractive as Teacher Gideon, but their body shape also wasn't even great at first."

The students who were mocked by Amon wanted to retaliate but stopped upon their gaze landed at the badge on Amon's chest.

Soon, Teacher Gideon arrived at the centre of the arena. With many pairs of eyes staring at him directly, Teacher Gideon didn't look nervous and even casually waved his hand, "Hello everyone. For who may not know me, My name is Gideon Orwell."

"Hello!" Chorus the students who present excitedly.

"As per routine the battle class, I would demonstrate a technique of different weapons," Gideon called his attendant and signalled him to transport the weapons up to the arena.

The attendant nodded his head before pressing his finger on the remote control he held. A moment later, a floating trolley began marching up with a pile of different weapons inside it.

Gideon stepped forward and grabbed a somewhat hilt of swords, but the weird thing is there's no blade on it. It looks like broken swords, no matter how you see it.

"Is Teacher Gideon gonna use a broken sword?" Luke mumbled in puzzlement.

Amon only gave him a mysterious smile, "Just watch and learn."

The new students who were attending the battle class for the first time were also in a confused state as Luke.

Just as one of the students was about to ask what kind of weapon is that, Luke sees Gideon pressed his finger on the grip, and yellow light began to appear magically, the light which initially didn't have any form gradually turned into blades.

Which seems originally a broken sword, turn out was a beam saber. Luke and the rest of the students who oblivious to it, could only stare in awe at the beam saber.

"Hehe, this the reason why I always perform many kinds of weapons at the opening of my lesson. Some of you might be the first time attending this class and never see this kind of weapon." Gideon narrated while the students who attended the battle class for the first time nodded their heads in unison.

Gideon then continued, "This weapon called "Beam Saber," Its blade was made of photon light. Therefore, this Beam Saber could cut through anything easily like a knife through butter. But, every advantage has its disadvantage, hasn't it? This Beam Saber could only last for five minutes. More than that, this Beam Sabre was only a piece of a broken sword."

"What?" Burst out crowd in shock.

'Then what will happen if we cannot finish our enemy in five minutes?' That thought crossed in everyone's mind.

As if knowing what's their thought is, Gideon said with a serious expression, "That's why you shouldn't depend on your weapon too much. If the photon energy was depleted, you could still charge it. But you can't definitely charge the energy in the middle of a fight, right? Thus, if you use this weapon, you must be confident enough to defeat your enemy within five minutes."

"But.." Gideon revealed a mysterious smile before switched off the Beam Saber. The crowd immediately went perplexed. What is Teacher Gideon planning to do?

Suddenly, a pure white light, which is different from the yellow light Beam Saber previously emitted, began slowly forming into blades. The current Beam Saber was radiating a white light that seems on a different level from the previous yellow light.

"This is the upgraded version Beam Saber of mine," Gideon stated with a tone of pride.

"How do you upgrade it, teacher?" One of the students raised his hand up in the air and asked a question.

"Well, this kind of trick was easy to use for elemental users. My ability was called "Pure Light." This kind of light at first was could only lighten a bulb." Gideon joked lightly before continuing, "But it was in the past, now I could even replacing electricity on the quarter area of Lark City with my power for an awhile."

"Wow." Students start clapped in admiration.

"Back to the topic, This hilt of sword I held was nothing but a tool to accommodate photon energy that we were charging previously before used in battle. Did you notice something? Yes, it was accommodating! Because this tool can accommodate photon energy, I also used the same method by inserting my ability "Pure Light" to the hilt tool and managed to create an upgraded version of Beam Saber."

"The same goes for you. If you could manage insert fire or ice power, maybe you could create a fire or ice saber. This is why Beam Saber is the best weapon for elemental users. It doesn't matter whether the photon energy is depleted or not because you can recharge it by your own power. But don't be cocky yet since your energy was way below the level of me. There's no way your tiny flame and ice could compare to the original photon energy."

"You probably could only bring the Beam Saber at most at its 30% from its full strength. But it's no doubt better than a broken sword."

'Unfortunately, my power can't be used like that,' Luke thought regretfully.

Gideon then rubbed his chin thoughtfully and started to speak after pondering for a moment, "How about we find you a guy who would perform as per my theory? It would bring a great benefit for you elemental user that hasn't understand my theory yet."

Since there's a free demonstration, why would they refuse? Soon the crowd nodded their heads in agreement.

Amon, who was sitting beside Luke, silently shrank his head upon realizing what Teacher Gideon want to do.

At this time, Luke, who was wondering what kind of person would Teacher Gideon bring, noticed Amon weird action from the corner of his eyes. Therefore, Luke couldn't help but ask confusedly, "What are you doing, senior brother Amon?"

Amon's eyes immediately went wide, and before he reprimands Luke to lower his voice, Gideon's voice resounded within the arena, "Amon, come here."
