TW: Violence, bullying
Having Alice show me the morning paper was almost cathartic. In big, bold letters on the front page, it read: "A Drug Wave Paints Corruption Over Boys' Competition Due to Disgusting Desires of Their Coach."
Apparently, Jacob tested positive for several banned substances, which he publicly denied. "Okay, I risked my life, but I put everything where it's supposed to be, and no one saw me," Ben joined us, still trembling a bit from the adrenaline.
"So now what do we have to do?" Alice asked, her voice tinged with worry.
"Nothing more. I'm sorry for asking you guys to help me with something so dangerous. All that's left is to watch the fallout," I said, feeling a pang of guilt. These two were really loyal to a fault when it counted. I couldn't ask for two better... friends? Acquaintances? I was never good at knowing this kind of stuff in the first place.
