Chương 2: The Love of Tomorrow
Day – Monday
INT. BEN AND SKYLER'S HIGH SCHOOL – Monday Morning
A big gate opens up. Skyler and Ben are walking down the road so they start going down. They make a right and then a left, straight down and up the stairs then a right, and then one last right down the road. The school hallway is filled with students reuniting after the summer break. Ben and Skyler make their way through the crowd as they walk to their lockers.
Benjamin Grim lock: (Smiling) Back to school, huh? Can't believe that 21 weeks have passed
Skyler Arakawa: (Nods) Technically there are 3 more weeks for the summer vacation to end since the school started 3 more weeks early but yeah I get what you are saying and hey at least we have those memories from our summer vacation to keep us going.
They take their books from their lockers and head to their first class.
INT. CLASSROOM - MORNING
Ben and Skyler take their seats, feeling a mix of excitement and nostalgia. They catch up with friends, sharing stories about their summer adventures.
Teacher: (Enthusiastic) Welcome back, everyone! I hope you all had a restful summer break. Let's start school with some exciting lessons.
The teacher begins the first lesson.
Teacher: (Smiling) We are gonna start off with everyone's favorite subject Math
Skyler Arakawa: Who the hell says math is their favorite subject?
Benjamin Grim lock: Why do you hate math so much brother?
Skyler Arakawa: Because it's…ah I just can't understand any of that shit It's the worst subject ever
Benjamin Grim lock: I wouldn't say it's the worst subject ever
Teacher: OK class start solving the first problem on page number 36
Everyone starts solving math where as Skyler is confused and in the background you can hear someone saying triangle A and triangle B are equal to …?
Skyler Arakawa: (Scratching his head) How the fuck should I find X?
Ben is deeply focused on solving math
Skyler Arakawa: Ben you getting any of this
Benjamin Grim lock: Yeah, it's quite easy
Skyler Arakawa: Oh, shut up

EXT. SCHOOL CAFETERIA - LUNCHTIME
Ben and Skyler sit at their usual lunch table, enjoying their meals.
Benjamin Grim lock: (Looking around) You know, it's good to be back, but it's not the same without that river and the campfire.
Skyler Arakawa: (Nods) I agree, but we'll have to plan our next adventure soon.
Benjamin Grim lock: Mm-mm eat up fast our next class is going to start soon
INT. CLASSROOM - AFTERNOON
The school day is winding down as Ben and Skyler prepare for their last class. They exchange knowing glances, eager for the final bell to ring.
EXT. SCHOOL COURTYARD - AFTER SCHOOL
As the final bell rings, Ben and Skyler exit the school building. The warm afternoon sun flows over them in a golden glow.
Benjamin Grim lock: Guess what, I've got a surprise for you.
Skyler Arakawa: (Curious) A surprise? What is it?
Ben leads Skyler to a metal board where a poster hangs.
POSTER (announcing) Haunted Club - First Meeting Tomorrow!
Open for everyone, wanna join Then please head to room 8
Skyler Arakawa: (Excited) A haunted Club? Seriously!
Benjamin Grim lock: Yep! I thought we could keep the adventure going all year round.
Skyler Arakawa: Count me in, Ben!
They exchange a high-five and a man suddenly appears reading the poster
Jake Fishman: Yeah, but why start a haunted club though
Benjamin Grim lock: Oh, it's because Skyler and I really love adventuring and we have done pretty much everything except ghost haunting so I thought ghost haunting would be a good choice for us
Jake Fishman: Mm-mm
Skyler Arakawa: (Turns around) By the way, what's your name?
Jake Fishman: Oh I'm sorry I'm Jake, Jake Fishman
Benjamin Grim lock: Are you new here?
Jake Fishman: Nah I'm an old student
Skyler Arakawa: You're interested in joining the ghost haunted club
Jake Fishman: Yeah, sure I'm interested in joining
Benjamin Grim lock: Good (puts his hand on Skyler's shoulder) our first member of ghost haunted club
Jake Fishman: (Laughs and sees his watch) Well, I have some things to pick up so see you tomorrow morning
Benjamin Grim lock: Alright have a nice day Jake
Jake Fishman: (Starts jogging) You both too
EXT. SCHOOL BASEBALL FIELD - AFTERNOON
It's a sunny afternoon, and the campus is alive with the sounds of students enjoying themselves.
Benjamin Grim lock: (Adjusting his cap) Ready for some baseball, bother?
Skyler Arakawa: You bet Ben Let's show them how it's done
They join their classmates for a friendly game of baseball. One of their classmates steps up to a batter, and with a powerful swing, he sends the ball scoring out of the field.
Classmate: (Excited) Home run!
The score is now 1-1, and the game continues. Ben steps up to the plate, and with a solid hit, he sends the ball flying. He races to second base, and it's now Skyler's turn.
Skyler Arakawa: (Nervous) Okay, Skyler, you got this.
The first two pitches come in fast, and Skyler swings and misses. The pressure is on, as he faces the third pitch.
Classmate Pitcher: You are dead Arakawa!
Skyler concentrates, and the third pitch comes in. He manages to make contact, but it's a foul ball. The ball floats high into the sky, over the netting that surrounds the field.
Benjamin Grim lock: (Chasing after the ball) I'll get it!
Skyler Arakawa: Wait, I'm coming too!
As Ben goes after the foul ball, Skyler sits down and takes a moment to relax and enjoy the nuture looking campus. He leans against the fence, seeing the sight of trees, the warm sun, and the gentle breeze.
Suddenly, as if in slow motion, a girl with earphones and wearing the same second-year uniform walks in front of Skyler. She has a black skirt and a white shirt with a black tie. Her fingers gently hold the bag on both shoulders, and she seems to show an angelic aura, bright as the sun. Time seems to freeze as she passes, and Skyler can't help but admire her. She's so damn hot that he momentarily forgets about the game and everything else around him.
Benjamin Grim lock: (Calling from a distance) Brother, brother did you find the ball?
Skyler snaps back to reality and shakes his head from left to right, realizing he was lost in thought.
Skyler Arakawa: (Back in his body) Huh? Oh, no, I got distracted. Sorry!
As Ben continues searching for the ball, Skyler can't help but wonder about the girl who just walked by, leaving a lasting impression on him.
Skyler Arakawa: (Looks behind and orders Ben) Search fast!
Benjamin Grim lock: Bitch! I have been searching for the ball for the past 15 minutes, and here you are telling me that you got distracted, by what? Huh, tell me?
Skyler Arakawa: (Walks up to the camera his both hands are on his waist)…. By my future wife!
