I left Col when he fell asleep. It took a lot to walk out of the room and leave him behind but I have a lot of things to do. I have a lot of things to work on so that I can be a better man to him.

Col doesn't know all the things I have done. He doesn't really even know anything about me and maybe I should have told him the things that have made me who I am but I am scared.

I am scared that he would hate me.

"It is for the best and you know it,'' Beau tells me with a nonchalant shrug.

"How is taking the man I love away from me for the best?''

He raises a brow "Were you even present in that basement?''

He is talking about that man. The threats and the warnings.

"My son is not safe in this place. Sort your shit out and then you can have him. I will not leave him here knowing that he is not safe.''
