"Dude answer your fucking phone,'' I whisper in the room. I have tried calling him, over and over again.
I have been calling Khal since my last phone call with Lowell.
Do not keep any names from me.
Those were his words, but how do I do that when I have someone that actually means something to me?
I hear the click of the call and I sigh as I drop the phone on the bed. Tala walks into my room, and she looks up at me worriedly. "Still not answering?" she asks me.
The fact that I am so hell-bent on getting to Khalid before Lowell stems from him being the only friend that I have actually made over the years. I don't want to say that he saved me, but he did, and I know that he is not the bad person that Lowell thinks deserves to die.
I have to do something to get him out of the society. I have to prove that he doesn't deserve to die, and I don't know how to do that.
