The chamber of Agravia housed many books about different jobs, it had records of different martial art, magic, fighting styles that transcended human bodies and reasoning, they were many of these books, but one had to have a body that could train whatsoever job they chose or else they would stay weak forever, because of their body early limits, so it was advisable to choose a job that doesn't place a limit on your body, so you can grow with farther limits.
"no, you can't learn magic"
"Excuse me, sir, what do you mean and why not?"
"you're hated by mana"
"Sir, even if you all here have a grudge against Easterners don't you think this is too cruel, what do you mean I'm hated by mana"
"what? Grudge?.... You think I care about such things...? You're mistaken boy, well I don't blame you, yours is a first time too, I mean I've seen people that don't have mana core, but I've never seen someone hated by mana, it's like they fear you"
The man continued to stare at Rein as he spoke.
After checking many magic books, Rein has finally decided that he was going to be a magus.
A Magus mage is not limited to attribute, a magus magician could harness the power of all six attributes, but more than any other mage they needed a large amount of mana to do so, Rein lacked the minimum mana required to be an ordinary mage, a magus mage was impossible for him.
"even if you try to be an ordinary mage it would be futile for you, of course with mana training you could end up being an ordinary mage, but mana training with someone that is hated and feared by mana, you'll only be forcing mana in, and they won't obey you all the time, as mana have a life force of their own. In short, you won't be able to exhibit powerful spells and would be weak for the rest of your live. So I advise you, try something else."
'damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn' Rein in his head couldn't take it, what he had feared from the beginning was now unfolding before him, his dream of being a magician and living a peaceful life not getting entangled in unnecessary wars and being able to deal with anyone that threatens his peaceful life seems to be shattering before him.
Rein left the Magician Counsellor's office dragging himself as he left, lost in his thoughts.
'I don't want to want to be holding swords and shields, I don't want to put on those heavy armors and helmets, I don't want these things... Wait... If I could learn a martial art, won't it be better, I mean with martial arts I could learn ways that strengthen my body and don't have to wear armors and I could learn a hand type martial art, like tai chi, or a leg type like taekwondo,... I don't know if those type of martial art exist in this world but I can't give up just now, I've come a long way and in this world I feel I'm being given a chance, to give up just this early is just too unreasonable, be it magic, martial art, anything the point is I'll get strong, I'll get strong to live the kind of life I want, then I'll find my mother, I don't even know if she's dead or alive but I'll find her'
"lieutenant Rein!!!"
Rein was woken up by the familiar and annoying voice. "what is it?" Rein looked at Zolin blankly, didn't take Zolin a minute to figure out something is wrong.
"what's wrong Rein?" Zolin's facial expression became serious.
"were you able to get a job?"
"no... I wasn't able to get the job I want but I'll search harder. What about you?"
"why were you not able to get the job you want?"
"he's mana is too low..." Jon answered as he walked towards them from the Magic counsellor's office, Rein looked back at Jon.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you, I knew from the first day, though I didn't know you were aiming to become a mage, I'm truly sorry Rein."
"it's okay, I understand, besides there are still other jobs to check out, so now you both tell me about your jobs." Rein mood lightened up,
"it's a dagger type warrior class and doesn't have a name, but there are lots of things to learn about it and I love it."
'that's like an assassin type job if we compare it to gaming'..... What about you Jon?"
"Ice elementalist..."
"that's expected, you're already too good with the Ice attribute, but you don't seem to like it."
"yes... But it was the best I could get, argh... two long years is going to be tiring."
"Indeed it will be..." Rein had a dreary look on his face,
"don't worry...." Zolin tapped his shoulder, "we'll scale through."
"of course" Jon answered, Rein smiled and looked at Zolin, then looked at Zolin's hand on his shoulder "take your away from your hands before I break it."
"like you can...'' Zolin smirked and removed his hand, ".... But you do know how to break moments"
"I'll catch up with you guys later."
"alright"
Both of them answered and watched Rein as he head towards the library. Zolin then broke the silence, "do you think he'll be okay?"
"honestly I don't know, it's not like we knew him before now, we also don't know how he reacts to hardships"
"well that's true"
Jon left Zolin who was lost in his thoughts.
'when did I begin to be true to him, I just wanted to hang for fun... and seems father was interested in Duke Erin, I thought it won't be a waste to hang around him, but I am feeling like I'm being too attached....damn it I'll just enjoy the moment'
A week passed, Rein stayed in the library most of his time, while many had started classes already based on their jobs, his AP now reduced to 80. While sitting in the library focused Rein had gotten many notifications and muted them, he was forgetting something as he was drowning in this new world.
Rein had found many martial arts and sword type skills but he was always declined by counsellors, after being hated by mana, he heard complaints that his body was too fragile to learn a martial art or powerful swordsmanship, in fact, one time the counsellor had told him.
'why don't you just give and be a normal warrior, you can have powerful armours and sword and even use artefacts to get ancestral powers.'
Rein had considered it, but he didn't like the fact that he had to rely on items made by someone else to call himself strong, he wanted an easy life no doubt, but he was willing to work hard to become strong, not borrow strength from an unknown source.
Rein sighed as he rested his back on the chair, then he heard the voice of someone, it wasn't a voice he hears often but he was sure he had heard it before.
"Are you having difficulty choosing a job, I've seen you run around many counsellor's offices, I might be able to help, mind if I seat" The voice unfolded its face as this person was now in front of Rein.
Rein was surprised and stared for few seconds before answering hurriedly, "yes yes, you can of course....'', 'I didn't know he was the type to talk to others'
His white hair fluttered softly as he pulled the chair to sit in front of Rein.
"oh, I'm Arnette. Belmont vuz Arnette, do you remember."
"of course I remember sir Arnette."
"Please don't... we are at the academy, after all, you can address me normally...''
'the uniform looks too good on him even when it's green, so he's a captain, he must be strong' Rein smiled.
"so I hope you don't mind I just want to share something with you, seeing you run around and knowing I could help, I just didn't want to be cruel, usually I'm good at minding my business."
'why... is he reddening though... Don't tell me he's.... shy', "pfft" Rein let out a little as he was trying so hard to hold in his laughter.
"uhh?" Arnette looked at Rein,
"I just had something stuck in my throat"
~cough~ Rein coughed out fakingly.
"you can continue" he said.
"so the thing is first of all I feel you're missing something, I have an inherited ability called keen insight, I tend to be able to see into people, and each time I look at you, your strength will not come from all these books and jobs, I feel you have something you are forgetting."
At that moment Rein mouth dropped, he seemed to have now finally woken up, though what was on Rein's mind didn't correspond with what Arnette was trying to let him know.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
Rein continued to excitingly thank Arnette who brought out a paper,
"here, I scribbled on it something that would help you."
Arnette stood up,
"then I'll... take my leave."
Rein called him, "Captain Arnette"
"yes..."
"let's be friends along the way"
"of course" Arnette smiled and left.
Rein slapped his hand on his face,
'I can't believe I forgot that... I'm a GAMER....not to even talk that right now I'm living my life as a gaming character, I lived like a dweller, because I'm probably the only earthling here, I forgot I'm an earthling... Show notifications'

[the system god is amazed at your understanding of the system]
[the system god has pushed you further to profession mastery advanced level 1]
"wow... Oh I thank you god system"
Rein smiled, as he read through the paper Arnette had handed him, he marvelled as he learnt the concept of sword aura.
Sword aura was truly amazing and could only be used with sword skills, instead of mana that had to be gathered from around the surrounding, the aura was a force that was generated from a will, sword aura specifically is generated from the will of the sword ways, then strengthened in battles and wills. Aura can also be trained in the body, this was the criteria for gaining the sword aura, Arnette had carefully explained on the paper.
Rein thought to himself, 'I eventually have to use a sword huh...'
[you have understood the concept of Aura do you want to learn Y/N]
"yes of course"
[you have learnt the concept of aura]
[Aura mastery - novice]
Unlike many who still had to train their body and mind to align in some certain ways before they can acquire an aura, Rein because of his profession, could learn it from just reading it.
Rein packed up, "it's going to be a long interesting two years"
