Raon had already understood that he was being trapped in some sort of encirclement, but he didn't stop to curse or think that he would be unable to escape.

Raon had enough plans and tricks to escape even if Lucas tailed them and arrived here, but since Lucas wasn't here and Raon was just being trapped, it was quite clear that Lucas had been informed and would be on his way here.

With random erratic movements like the dance of death, Raon stepped on the street pavements, the buildings, trees, and anything he could find a foothold on as he kept evading the city guards who were closing in on him.
