Li Xue and Lanfen spent the following days making preparations for their perilous journey. They gathered supplies, studied maps, and sought the guidance of experienced mermaid travelers. Finally, when they felt ready to depart, they approached Emperor Shen to share their intentions.

"We've heard of your quest to defy the prophecy, Princess Li Xue," said Prince Min-Ho, his eyes shining with determination. "We, too, have a vested interest in the fate of the mermaid world, and we wish to join you on your journey."
Princess Aanya nodded in agreement, her golden-red scales shimmering in the dim light. "Together, we can pool our knowledge and resources, and stand a better chance of finding the artifacts and changing our shared destiny."
Li Xue, moved by their sincerity and commitment, agreed to join forces with the other royals. With newfound allies by her side, she felt even more determined to prevent the prophecy from coming true.
Now united in their quest, Li Xue, Lanfen, Prince Min-Ho, Princess Aanya, and their loyal companions continued onward, venturing deeper into the uncharted waters of the mermaid world.
