Chương 3: Holding Her Firmly

My heart was pounding fast as I was holding her firmly.

She was trembling in fear and unknowingly she was clasping my chest with her wobbly hands to seek comfort. Even I wanted to...but I couldn't let her go from my arms.

After a few seconds, she slowly opened her eyes and stared at me with her fearful gaze. She was panting fast as she was very terrified.

I was wearing my black cap to cover my face and unknowingly my eyes were turned red as I used my werewolf superpowers without my will.

As she gazed at me, I regained my senses and almost threw her to the ground in my arms.

I fixed my cap properly to make sure she didn't notice my supernatural eyes and started running away from her. I didn't look behind once.

"Hey! Wait! Wait!" I heard a loud call behind me from her as I sensed she tried to run after me in order to stop me.

But how can a mere human like her catch up with a werewolf's speed? I smirked at her ignorance while running.

After reaching a safe distance I stopped and turned behind. She wasn't visible anymore as I came far enough.

Phewww! I acted so recklessly today! Why the f*ck I was so stupid today? I almost revealed myself before her! That's absolutely shameful for an alpha! I need to keep this a secret from everyone.

She almost tricked me with her fascinating smell as I unknowingly acted as her pet animal!

I started to head back towards my home, but my feet stopped. A troubling thought was bothering me consistently.

What if she tries again to die? I just saved her at that moment but what if she attempts again?

"Huh? Why am I concerned about her? If she wants to die, let her die! Why the f*ck I am getting so puzzled? I grumbled fiercely while clenching my wrist.

I got an idea instantly. I tried to use my super wolf sight to know about her.

But what's this? Everything was completely black in my vision. Did I fail again? I never failed before to foresight a human. Why can't I use my powers with her?

I was totally pissed off as I failed to control my concern for her. I opted for my super wolf invisible power and started running back to that place again, where I saved her.

What the f*ck am I doing now?

As I reached the place I looked all around to find her. Though I stood a bit distant from her as she appeared to be someone really mystical. So, I was dubious to go near her.

Ahh, there she is! Sitting at the bus stop and crying again. What's the matter with her?

I slowly gathered courage and went near her, but as I opted for my invisibility, she couldn't see me. She was crying helplessly.

"Why? Why did you save me? What am I going to do with my life now? Why did you do it?" She was mumbling mournfully while sobbing bitterly. Her cheeks were flustered red as if she had been crying too hard for a long time.

"I saved her life and instead of being thankful, she is blaming me back? What an idiot! That's why I dislike humans!" I murmured as I was sulking with her gesture with my eyes fixed on her.

Sherry's POV:

I was completely broken today. My hope of living a good life was shattered to pieces. Do you know why?

I am Sherry Crawley, a 26 years old struggling and a complete failure as an adult. I have got only rejections from the companies I applied to work for as an intern. I was solely dependent on my brother for survival. I thought life will go easy on me someday.

But I was wrong, it was totally wrecked today.

I lost my brother Felix, who was my only family after we lost mom and dad in that dreadful car accident on a cursed night.

My brother was a proficient ranger officer in the Cansiglio forest.

But my life turned upside down with the devasted news that I got today. He was killed by a wild animal last night. Even his body was so brutally ravaged that his colleagues couldn't bring his body back here in Rione Monti.

Helplessly they had to cremate him there. With him, my only reason for living in this harsh world was snatched away from me.

When I finally decided to end this pitiful life, my fate mocked my miseries again by sending someone to save me. Why now? Why did he have to save me today? At least I could have met my family if I had died today!

As I was sobbing hard, unknowingly I felt someone was gazing at me. I looked around me and there was no one. Why am I perceiving a pair of mystical eyes around me? Is someone secretly watching me?

William quietly stood beside her while staring with an intensified gesture. He had been using the superpower of invisibility but Eva was constantly looking around her to find him.

"How could she feel my perception when I am already using my power? Till now, no human could ever perceive anything whenever I stayed beside them secretively using my powers. Why she is so different?" He thought silently while rolling his eyes at her.

Suddenly William's stomach growled loudly! Both Sherry and William were shocked by the sudden noise!

She gently put her hand on her belly and tenderly caressed it with a sad expression on her face. "I didn't have anything from last night, my whole appetite diminished.

I thought maybe death will be the best solution for me to avoid all other circumstances, but... Now I am so hungry." She murmured in a low voice with a blank gaze in her eyes.

"Gosh!" William sighed with her response. "First of all, I saved her life and I was blamed. Now if I bring her food, what if she blames me again?"
