Grace pulled the door open, and she found two older ladies in their forties and a girl in her early twenties.
They all stared at her in surprise; her rough face and twisted gown made them realize that they had interrupted.
But how were they to know? Such things usually happen at night and the morning was for farming and fishing; that was their routine.
"Good morning," Grace said, bringing them out of their trance.
"Uhm… Good morning, we just came to let you know that the feast is about to start and you had given your word to be there," the lady explained, and Grace nodded.
Their gaze moved behind her to the stairs as Raymond leaned there with a frown. These old people were getting on his nerves.
"Oh, okay, we will be there," she answered, and they smiled appreciatively before leaving.
