Fate has always been cruel to her, and the moment she thought she is finally going to be happy.

Imogen gasped for air as he strangled her, no struggling, no resistance. She just wants it to end quickly, then she can put an end to her wretched life.

She felt life slowly leaving her and darkness taking over. It is finally ending, without a chance to explain her.

Death, that is what he wants for her. But death is too merciful, he wants her to feel his pain, to be miserable like him.
