"Rika! Be a good girl and follow your mother's words, okay? Dad'll be back at the noon," Dad's gentle voice entered my head as I'm sleeping.

"Y-Yes..." I answered half-asleep.

Just like the other days as well, dad will always say goodbye to me whenever he's about to go to work.

"Another matter with the elders?" My mom's voice faintly entered my ears as well.

"Yes. There is some trouble with the humans. It was said that a human infiltrated the village to steal our elven elixir. As the chief of the village, of course, I need to handle this matter smoothly. Protect our daughter when I'm away, okay?"

"That's obvious. I've been teaching her elementary magics lately, prepare to be surprised in a week. Our daughter is quite a genius, you know?"
