POV ALABAST
I had to admit, that was somewhat frightening, and I never felt that way before in my last life.
It felt like I was frozen in my seat, the chopsticks in my hand didn't move. Is this what my victims felt when I tried to hunt them down?
I had to admit, I felt the adrenaline coming back in full force. I began to compose myself after I finished viewing the job, breathing slowly and counting to ten.
Once I had calmed down, the exhaustion soon rushed at me. I slumped onto the couch and sighed from the adrenalin leaving me.
"Note to self, never watch the snakes work." I said and soon stood up, I decided to head towards the after life, since I wanted to try the drinks they have.
Once I had changed, I had the two snakes on my fingers and grabbed a pistol to carry with me in case I have to fight.
After everything was set and prepared I soon exited my home and began to walk towards the nearest subway.
Once I paid the fee and entered, I made sure to pay attention to head towards Watson, more specifically the sub-district Japan town.
From what I had gathered, Watson is where the rich, corpos, and celebrities go to when they want to live, spend their money, and sleep.
Specifically, Japantown is actually where the entertainment is, with it's bars, food and prostetutes.
I was only there to see if the drinks are good, as god said, I was going to try to live my life to the fullest.
Once arriving at Japan town, I began to look around for any signs for the Afterlife. Yet, it was difficult for me to do so, since I haven't explored Japan town.
However, it didn't take me long when I felt one of the snakes on my fingers began to guide me towards the bar.
How it guided me, it was weird. I felt as if a tether was attached to each snake, and I was pulling it.
Soon I followed the tether towards the bar, where I could see some people around. A few cars were parked outside, while some music played in the background.
Once I saw the parking lot, I noticed some stairs heading down. Seeing that, I began to walk downstairs and saw the environment changed.
Instead of stone, it was metal and neon lights. Some where looking at me, seeing how I was new they began to look down on me.
I wasn't surprised at all, since this city only had one rule.
Power and money rules all.
If you looked weak, or you aren't rich, you can be seen as someone that can be pushed around.
They were about to try and approach me, but I only lifted up my shirt to show my hidden pistol.
It only took a glance for them to click their tongues and stay where they were, not bothering to approach me.
I soon arrived in front of the double doors, above it was the sign Afterlife. Seeing the sign, I knew I had arrived.
The bouncer was in front of me, standing over me with his gruff looking body.as I stood in front of him, staring into his eyes.
I could see he was judging me, checking if I was going to cause problems. But I stared back with a calm look with a relaxed manner.
Seeing that I wasn't going to cause problems, he nodded and stepped to the side. He gave me one last look, before nodding at me to enter.
I only nodded in return and passed through, once entering. I began to take in the view of the bar.
The dark green that shined through the entire place, the people who were minding their own business, the atmosphere was calm.
Just like the den.
I made my way to the bar and sat on one of the empty chairs, soon the woman who worked at the bar stood in front of me with a smirk.
"Hey there, I'm guessing your new here?" She asked, she still wore the same overalls from the first time I saw her, and the same hairstyle as well.
"Yeah, I am." I said and sighed, looking to the side and seeing one of my snakes coiled up on the counter.
"Ah, I'd avoid that if I were you, that thing is from a creepy gonk that appeared a few days ago." She leaned in and whispered.
"Well, let's forget about it, call me Claire." She said while grabbing a a shaker and spinning it in her hand.
"What can I get started for you?" She asked, I looked up to see multiple drinks, but one caught my eyes.
"What's the Jhonny silver hand?" Hearing my question, Claire smiled and grabbed a bar spoon and some drinks.
"Give me a moment." She said and grabbed a lime, cutting it into quarters and coating the outside rim of the glass.
She then grabbed a shaker and shook it, sending a red like powder on the side that was covered in lime juice.
She then grabbed a large mixing glass to prepare the drink, she then grabbed the jigger and poured some syrup inside.
Once she was satisfied she poured it all into the mixing glass, she spun behind her, grabbing two small bottles.
Once grabbing the both of them, she gently poured a small amount from each one and placed them back.
Then, she grabbed a large bottle of tequila, pouring it in the jigger. Once the jigger was completely full, she poured it all inside the mixing glass.
Soon, she opened what looked like a freezer behind her and grabbed a small ice cube that was no bigger than her palm.
Grabbing the bar spoon, she smaked the ice cube, breaking it into small pieces. Once the ice landed inside the glass, she began to stir it.
After stirring for a few minutes, she grabbed a strainer and began to pour the drink inside the glass she prepared beforehand.
The drink looked clear with a tint of orange and pink, I thought she had finished and was about to reach for it, but I had my hand slapped.
"Woah there choom, I'm not done just yet." She chuckled, she then pulled out what looked like an expensive bottle.
She then placed the bar spoon on the water level of the drink, with the back of the spoon up.
She proceeded to pour the liquid on the back of the spoon. Letting the spoon slowly rise as the cup was filled.
Once satisfied, she slid the drink in my direction. Placing her hand on her hips, with her smile wide.
"Here's your Jhonny silver hand drink." Looking at the drink, I could see that the bottom half had the transparent color from before.
But the liquid she poured at the end made the upper half more darker. I gently grabbed it and took a sip, letting the drink pour into my mouth.
As soon as it touched my tongue, I tasted a bit of cherry, with chocolate invading my tastebuds.
The spice soon came afterword, causing my mouth to heat up. Once I pulled back, I hummed at the taste and placed it back on the counter.
"Not, bad, but that doesn't still answer my question." Claire's smile turned into a frown, but she didn't let her attitude last long.
"Well, the drink is named after a legend in night city. Jhonny silver hand." She said, I was curious on what the story is about, but o was soon inturrupted when I felt something nuzzling into me.
Looking down at my arm, I could see the snake that was far, next to my arm, sliding itself across it.
Causing Claire to scream and step back, this caught everyone's attention, making them all widen their eyes in shock.
They all began to point and stare at me, seeing the snake hadn't tried to cause me any harm.
Soon, a man that was covered with implants in his face stood behind me. Glaring at me with anger.
"The fuck you think your doing, touching my pet like that?" Hearing him say that, my finger that were holding the glass tightened.
'He did not just call it his.' I thought, while staring at my companion.
"That, is a bold face lie." I said, causing the man behind me to grow more furious. He placed his hand on my shoulder and spun me around look at me.
Only to hear the sound of every gun being pulled and aimed at him, finally, he felt a metal barrel touching from under his mouth.
"Like I said, bold, face, lie." I said and tapped the barrel on his face.
"Tsk." He then left the bar, and the calm atmosphere returned to normal. I spun back around to enjoy my drink, while Claire stood in front of me.
"You know, you're putting yourself at risk with that guy." She said while looking at me in concern.
"Why's that?" Claire only sighed and began to clean a glass.
"Because anyone who messes with Jason, they don't come back the next morning." She warned, I only finished my drink and stood up.
"Alright, thanks for the warning." I said and began to walk out, with Claire looking at my back.
"Shit, I forgot to ask his name." Claire muttered while looking at where I was.
After leaving the bar, I noticed that I was being followed. It was obvious in who it was, since Claire warned me.
But I didn't bother to try and run away, instead, I began to lead him into more crowded areas.
Causing him problems along the way, for example, I made sure to walk through the most crowded areas, always ducking into small alleys to lose him.
Then, I watch from above to see him struggling to find me. Only for me to jump down at the entrance of the alley and walk by.
I soon headed towards more north, where the malstrome gang stayed at. Jason was hesitant at first, but seeing that I was in a more combatant area, he tried to catch up to me.
As I turned a corner, he took the opportunity to try and grab me from behind. Only for him to grab a maelstrom gang member.
"The fuck is your problem, you gonk?!" Shouted a member, causing the rest of the small group to aim at him.
Seeing this, Jason released the gang member and began to run away, with his tail in between his legs.
Meanwhile, I was behind a pillar, smiling at the unfortunate even he brought upon himself.
Finally, I was strolling through Heywood, back in the district I live in. I was already tired of being followed by him, so, I decided to leave a message to anyone who tried to claim my companions as theirs.
I entered and alley that was far enough from the police and people, leading him to a dead end.
"Fucking finally, I thought I wouldn't have a chance to deal with you." He said out loud, looking behind me, I could see small wounds on him.
Escaping from the maelstrom gang, or from being injured from other incidents. In his hand was a pistol, while in the other was a knife.
"Now, I can finally zero you, and toss your corps away from this city. My city." He exclaimed while aiming his gun at me.
I hated those kinds of people, arrogant, thinking they are better than the rest. I could only chuckle at first, causing him to grow furious.
"The fuck you laughing at?!" He said and gripped me, placing the barrel on my head while pushing me against the wall.
My chuckle soon began to grow louder, to the point I was laughing like a maniac. It was hilarious, to think he thought he was at the top.
"Shut the fuck, or I swear I'll do it!" His finger was on the trigger, but I kept laughing, seeing him make a fool of himself.
"Fuck it, I ain't de-." Before he could continue, I stopped, this also caught his attention as well.
"So, you ain't got the balls to laugh no more, ey funny man?" He grinned, i only raised my hand, placing it on his arm.
The snake soon slipped off my finger and began to extend, slowly wrapping around the entire arm.
"If there's one thing that truly annoys me." I spoke with no fear, the snake slowly began to apply pressure on his arm.
Causing it to slowly bend, not in the right direction mind you. Seeing his arm bend on its own, he released me and tried to stop his arm from bending more.
"Is to hear someone trying to take credit that is not theirs." The arm was now fully extended, but was slowly bending backwards.
Causing it to slightly creak, I could hear him groaning quietly from the pain, but with no succes, he couldn't pull his arm.
Soon, the sound of bone cracking was heard, followed by the sound of a scream. Eventually sobbing was heard, quiet, but loud enough to be heard.
"They think they can control everything that they want, to see themselves as a king!" I then stompped on the broken arm, causing him to scream once again.
"It sickens me, to." Another stomp.
"The." Another stomp.
"Very…fucking…bone." Three more stomps were followed, Jason was already begging me to stop, but the other snake slipped off my finger and wrapped itself on the other arm.
"N-no, no, no, no." He panicked, looking up at me with fear and plead, only to see pure hatred.
Hatred that would bore into the very soul and inflict the harshest methods on the human body itself.
His arm was slowly being forced to bend in the opposite direction, while he kept pleading and crying.
"I'll stop, I won't tell no one, just please spare me!" His arm was finally forced to break, and he screamed.
"Sorry, can't have any witnesses. However, I can make you wish that I killed you." I then stood up, and proceeded to stomp on his arm once again, letting him experience the pain.
I've spent who knows how long stomping on it, the blood that flowed began to splatter across, staining my shoes and his clothes.
I then focused on his legs, having two more snakes break them. As he was about to pass out, the pain from me stomping on his legs brought him back to conscious.
Finally, I grabbed the knife he had, and used it to scratch his skin, slowly writing a message to anyone who tried to claim my companions as theirs.
He was still alive, begging me to kill him. I continued to ignore him, and soon finished carving my message on his skin.
"And just to make sure that I am serious." I had the four snakes wrap themselves on my hand, lifting his head I pulled back.
"W-wait, p-please!" I swung my fist, blood splattered onto my own, and the makeshift brass knuckle.
"Shut up, if you can still talk, I can still swing." I replied and continued to swing my fist. His skin began to break from each punch.
And slowly, I arrived at the armor plating. Yet I didn't stop, I continued to swing over and over, making sure I hit different parts on his face.
After swinging for who knows how long, I finally took a step back. Breathing heavily at what I had just did, part of his face was now gone.
Only the platting that was underneath his skin was seen, with both eyes swollen shut. His nose was broken, and a few teeth were seen on the floor.
His blood was on my shirt and pants, while my hand was covered with his blood. I raised my clean hand and pushed my hair back, wiping the sweat.
"Now, time to drop off a package." I muttered, a few snakes appeared and slipped underneath him, while others were on top.
Dragging his now carved body away from me, to a place where everyone who is a merc can see my message.
POV 3RD
As Alabast began to walk away, grabbing a fresh rag from one of the snakes delivering it to him, the large horde of snakes began to travel through the night.
Making sure to avoid any people and delivering it to the after life. Where most of the people were drinking and relaxing from a harsh day from the city.
A group of mercs were busy drinking, not caring about what was about to happen soon.
"Maine, are you sure we should be drinking on the job?" Asked a woman in red, the dark skinned man named Mane chuckled and took a swig.
"Man, fuck what the client says, we're taking a time to relax, with no leads on this new guy." He said with a grin.
The woman just sighed and sipped on her straw, only to glance at the snake. She shivered seeing it and quickly looked away, only to widen her eyes and shoot up.
"Hey, what's wrong K- Holy shit!" Maine shouted, followed by the other patrons of tue bar.
Seeing a large horde of snakes slither into the after life has caused everyone to move back, soon, all of them began to crawl onto a wall, with.
The horde began to leave through the vents, leaving behind only two to stay and hold something up.
A body that was still alive, his arms and legs were broken, bending at odd angles. While his face was half gone.
"H-holy… guess cobra must've heard about Jason claiming the snakes as his." Whispered Maine, soon, a brave patreon approached the body.
"To those who claim my companions as theirs, this is their fate, I will be kind this time, but a second will not be given." Everyone began to look away, not wanting to see the pitiful state Jason was in.
"Damn, we should delta, I don't want to see that sack of gonk anymore." Maine and Kiwi began to leave, leaving a woman behind.
"So, he dosent want others to claim the credit, I'm now even more curious cobra." She said, standing up and following the two.
(A/N) Hey hey, here's Tusdays chapter, I have to admit, last chaoter, it was bad, I didn't add any gore to it, so I tried to do a little bit in this one.
I know I need to improve on it, so this is all I can do.
For now, if you enjoyed it, send some power stones to show some support. It gives me motivation.
For now, peace.
