Good thing I wore techwear since it's drizzling slightly. It also helps with the occasional blast of wind that sends a chill down your spine.
"So this will be our new base. You can only teleport here through the necklaces or if you take a boat or plane here. The latter options are very risky since as you can see, the island is extremely rocky and so is the edge of the island," Mia says, as we sit down on the wet and mossy rocks below us.
"So are we going to just sit here in the rain and cold wind… or can we access some shelter," Nell says.
"Oh, well I thought you girls might've wanted to build our base here?" Mia replies.
"What, why would you think that?"
"How are we even supposed to make a base with only rocks surrounding us?"
"Too much work…"
"Can't we just get some people to build a base for us?"
Most of the girls continued to complain due to their uncomfortable positions. I of course didn't mind and continued to pat myself on the back for my choice of clothing, while listening to the spoiled young mistresses.
"Can't believe we don't have an earth user… this would be so much easier," Celestine says.
"Oh, that's a good idea. I'll be right back," Mia says, disappearing into thin air.
A few minutes later, Mia reappeared right next to me with the same bodyguard from before.
"Please help us build our base. I hope you know what will happen after we are done with the base though," Mia says.
"Of course. My job is to serve the Young Mistress and I know somebody will replace me once you kill me. I have fully accepted my fate," The bodyguard says, completely unfazed.
What a faithful and loyal guard. It's like they are groomed to serve only their master and care about nothing else… including death. Well, it's more like THEY are raised to serve their future master or mistress.
"Alright girls, we're going to be making the base underground. In case people do infiltrate this island, we'll create a fake base above ground and the real one will be below ground. No objections," Mia says.
All of the members of Tolf shut up and nod their heads in agreement.
"Alright, let's create a blueprint. John, can you please create a temporary base over us," Mia requests but was clearly an order.
With a wave of the bodyguard's hand, a roof made from rocks was stretched over us. It was like a wave made from rocks was frozen in place above us. Nobody was amazed at the quick work, probably because they have bodyguards on this similar level.
Mia then asked Clio to take out some paper from her inventory.
Clio sighs before closing her eyes. It seemed she needed concentration to open her dimensional pocket since after about 5 minutes of her closing her eyes, what looked to be a wooden chest appeared to float in front of her.
It was about twice the size of her head and the inside of it looked to be a void. It was black… pitch black. It looked like if you stuck your hand in it, your entire body would follow after, causing you to be sucked into the wooden chest forever.
Despite my thoughts, Clio was able to safely pull out her hand, retrieving a pencil and paper.
"John, please create a basic, flat stone table," Mia says.
The bodyguard raised his hand and a table about my belly height was erected from the ground. We all gathered around with the bodyguard standing right beside Mia.
Our conversation and brainstorming lasted for about 2 hours. Some of the girls present were wearing dresses so Clio and Celestine had to pull out winter coats from their dimensional pockets, for them to stay warm.
After the brainstorming, then came the actual blueprint creation which took about an hour. Both layers had the main material of metal which Mia's bodyguard was able to manipulate.
The upper half, otherwise known as the fake base, consisted of very basic rooms for all of us, including a training room, weapon room, and meeting room.
Now the lower half was where it got pretty crazy. The actual base was going to be massive, fit with a living room, kitchen, training room, weapon room, meeting room, and our very own customized rooms.
We were going to need other people to help design and get the materials to design it, but we were still in the planning phase. Something might change later on. Plus we can probably recruit somebody into Tolf as the interior designer. It won't be somebody we kill off after they served their purpose, so they also have to be pretty strong.
"Now we just need a way to connect them without a way that will expose our real base. Or do you girls want to make the real base away from the fake instead of putting it under?" Mia asks.
"I think it should be under,"
"Away, definitely away,"
"Under,"
"Under,"
"Away from the real base,"
"Under the real base,"
"Probably away from the real base,"
A small debate was held and we spit out the pros and cons of both sides. In the end, we thought it was better to make it under the fake base. The main reason being, if there was a spy that we couldn't detect and we entered the entrance of the real base, then it would've immediately given it away.
Now if we enter the fake base before entering the real base, they would think that the fake base is probably the real. Well, that's the idea… of course, they will still investigate but this could buy us more time until we find out about the spy.
"Okay, now that, that is decided, let's pick a place to actually make this,"
Most of the girls groaned as Mia's bodyguard reverted the stone table and stone shield that helped protect us from the strong wind and light rain.
"Maybe you girls should wear something like Lucy next time," Mia says.
Everybody looks towards me…
"What… want to know where I got this?" I ask the girls.
"I'm good. I already have techwear,"
"Same, I just didn't expect Iceland to be so… gloomy and have such bad weather,"
"I can order some online,"
"Please send me the link for the website you got that on. I can't find any good techwear that serves the actual purpose. It always turns up as something like a windbreaker jacket or cargo pants," Clio begs, clasping her hands around mine.
"Uhhh sure. Just give me your number," I say, pulling out my pen phone.
Clio also pulls out her pen phone as we exchange numbers. The rest of the girls see this and also request to exchange phone numbers with me. In the end, everybody exchanged phone numbers with each other.
"Who wants to create the group chat-"
"I already created one," Charna says, cutting off Mia.
"Well damn… alright," Mia says, walking away as we continued to follow her along the rocky and mossy terrain.
We continued to search the very barren terrain for about 1 more hour before taking a snack break. Clio made some sandwiches for herself, but Celestine called her out, eventually guilt-tripping her into sharing her homemade sandwiches.
Clio opened her dimensional pocket and retrieved a wooden box full of about 30 sandwiches…
Why did she make so much for herself?
Mia's bodyguard once again created the same creations from last time but made some chairs for us to sit on and talk to each other.
The sandwiches were… alright I guess.
There was a selection of BLT, Tuna, and Egg sandwiches. Everybody had the same bland reaction but quickly changed it when seeing how passionate Clio was about these sandwiches. She called them her finest creations and how it took half a day to create all of these delicious sandwiches.
"I've been meaning to ask you Charna, how did you learn bloodlust? Was it through copying your siblings or people around you? Did you get a teacher?" I ask Charna who just took a bite out of a tuna sandwich.
"*Munch* *munch*I had a teacher who taught me. He died long *munch* ago so if you want him to teach you-... oh yeah, I forgot you can use bloodlust. Why are you asking?" Charna replies, covering her mouth with her free hand.
"You're the only other girl here who knows how to use bloodlust besides me," I say, throwing the last piece of BLT in my mouth.
"Well, you're leagues ahead of me in terms of bloodlust. You were nowhere near my teacher's amount of bloodlust but yours is still much more potent than mine… I'll give you that," Charna says.
"Is bloodlust that thing you taught me during the trip?" Aria asks, leaning back on her stone chair.
"No, that's just killing your emotions. It allows you to clear your mind and suppress any hesitation that clouded your mind. Some of you girls might've already experienced it," I respond.
"What do you mean killing your emotions? Like getting rid of them? Is that even possible?" Amanda asks.
"It is possible. I'll do it right here, right now if you want. Notice the change in my presence," I say, staring at the stone table.
Everybody restlessly waited as my eyes grew more relaxed. I started with joy, then anger, disgust, fear, and finally sadness.
I looked up and a shiver was sent down the spines of all girls present. Even Mia's bodyguard was feeling fear as he took glances at my expressionless and cold face.
It took another split second for me to recollect my emotions and force them back into my body.
"If you want to learn, I can teach you, but it might be harder for you girls since you don't have the circumstances that allowed me to learn it easily,"
Obviously, that circumstance was my revenge and seeing my dead mother.
Yuri is coming soon. Maybe in like 2 or 3 chapters.
